40 years as a Rik Emmett fan and countless hours of audio and video of him in and out of Triumph: I was so thrilled to hear Rik sing the praises of his wife and family. Believe in your spouse! Believe in your family members! Maybe they aren't the most talented of all the people you will meet in your life but they need you. They succeed and fail and learn from both but with you in their corner, they can do so much more and be so much more!
What kind of IDIOT would give a thumbs down to Rik Emmet???!!! He's a fantastic musician with a fantastic voice, and he's very modest and down-to-earth and has a lot of common sense! He even has a nice speaking voice! He's new to me - I never knew who he was 'back in the day'! Wow - he's got quite the family! Great interview!
Rik "Rick" was always one of the most popular, very talented, cool, decent and playful guys in high school at Bloor. He just proved to be a great person and family man as well. Honest and authentic.
She was a babe back on 2003. Reminds me of one of my ex girlfriends, but hotter and much sweeter. Wonder how good she looks now. Couldn't find anything on Google about her. She is absolutely gorgeous in this video. And I love Rik Emmett, but she stole the show.
Rik is one of my guitar idol's when I was in Jr high through high school and beyond....I miss the 80's!....... Man I gotta say this girl hosting this interview is a knock out! BEAUTIFUL!
Man, this host is a KNOCKOUT. She's disarmingly attractive and comes across as sweet as pecan pie, at least here. You know I was really expecting this to be a real train wreck, but I'm pleasantly surprised to say this is without a doubt one of the most illuminating and honest and top notch interviews I've ever seen Rik give. Maybe having sweet Jamie staring at him loosened ol Riks tongue, heh heh!!! Jamie, if you had/have anything to do with this, you did a phenomenal job here, and I genuinely thank you for posting this piece of history dear, you rock girl!!

you know, while I don't have a gay bone in my body, I gotta say Rik has always been a handsome fella, and has aged very well, unlike the majority of his peers. i think his drug free (I'm sure he smoked weed and unquestionably did blow at times in the 80's) life is partly responsible for that. (you might find this a very lame excuse, but it was nearly impossible NOT to use coke on occasion when you work in live music/touring back then).
*D Grundman:* Yes, I agree, Rik is a handsome guy who has aged well! I think he's 65 now, he says he's almost 50 in this video. As for it being "...nearly impossible NOT to use coke....", Gene Simmons avoided the drug and alcohol trap - never touched a drug or drank alcohol in his life, and fired anyone who was part of KISS, who did abuse those things!
The big difference with Rik was his mix of writing, vocals, and guitar playing at such a high level. A lot of well-known guitarists, maybe more famous than Rik here in the States , have only a third of the overall musical capabilities! Plan on checking out his poems!
he doesn't like democratic committees. this interviewer wasn't even born when he was touring & cannot know anything. rik & gill spent years in court..she hasn't a clue she hasn't a clue what he's talkig about
