This explanation makes sense but in my opinion it's always best to test ride different vehicles to understand which engine actually suits your needs. For example when xplulse 4v was launched we all expected better top end performance than the 2v version but the difference was very marginal and similarly people complained about 2 valve setup in pulsar f250 but the bike is delivering good enough top end performance. All we can learn from this is that bikes perform very different in real world compared to the spec sheet

Bajaj gave 4 valves in their lower capacity engines like discover 100t 125st 150s pulsar 135 and then discontinued all models and returned to 2 valve engines in bs4 models . Only higher capacity engines like ns200 and ns160 are decently successful. Yamaha and honda also use 4 valves in high performance bikes like cbr 150 and r15 but not in fz or hornet suzuki also use 4 valves in 250 cc engines and not in 150 cc.

The more moving parts you have the more chances of fault. 2 valve air cooled, kickstart equipped bikes are the best in reliability and cost of maintenance.
You can make a better engine with 2 valve itself,if you can somehow change valve surface area with rpm,valve frequency,position with rpm. You can use solenoids in the camshafts to vary these,a microcontroller will sense the rpm and will send a pulse to relay to create magnetic field in the solenoid to push or pull the camshaft adjusting the valve configuration hence Your torque curve will skyrocket even at high rpm. @@adrenalinerush11 i wasn't talking about "just" variable valve actuation..! There are multiple ways to implement valve position and timing controls. If you want to learn,i guess try studying few patents or research journals,rather than watching RUclips videos

For Best Example i would say Bajaj's N250 (2 Valve) & NS200 (4 Valve). N250 Loaded with Awesome Torque and NS200 loaded with Power.
