DOT rules .. reflecting surfaces are not to be painted ... including side reflector for main driving bulb .. otherwise do what you want .. and that burnt-out is a good example of what happens when wrong bulb is used .. that could have resulted in a car fire
The inside of the turn signal I won’t be painting as it’s behind the orange lens. I’m thinking the main bulb should be fine as it’s a projector, but you do make a good point. Maybe putting a lighter color like silver or titanium instead of the chrome would help me slip by, black is iffy. And yea the wrong bulb was used in the past but they are all correct now!

What silver did you use for the light plastics ?
Gloss titanium and gloss black for the rest. 2k clear coat and let it air out after painting a few days before re sealing it
