Great update! I recommend a nice strain of Medaka that is bred for enjoyment from the top view, such a orange cap/koi or platinum - but the youkihi orange are nice, too. BucePlants had rice fish now, so that could an option - or Aquabid. Just picked up some wild types from a nice seller in IL.

And the cycle continues... Breeding is going to teach you about the multiple tank syndrome if nothing else. I was shocked to see pseudomugils on your list. They are better looking and more colorful than most fish and not many people have seen them. It makes them very sellable. I have furcatas and red neons (luminatus). Awesome fish! I also have celebese and they are not as difficult as people claim. Celebese also like cooler water so they work well with all plants. They are also not brackish! Don't believe that crap. Medaka rice fish are better sellers than your DBE too. They are better viewed from above and tolerate much colder water. Great for patio pots and your pond! Brighter and easier to see so watch for birds. Your going in the wrong direction with your DBE if you want to see them. Pull all the plants and make breeding mops. If you pull the eggs they will multiply faster than any guppies.

Treasure that time working with your grandpa and soak up the knowledge he gives you. It will serve you well in the future. I know I wish I could still work on old cars again with my grandpa as sadly he can't anymore. Hopefully I'll have as nice of a shop as your grandpa someday. Love the channel.
