Very stimulating and enjoyable discussion. Love Annemarie's explanation of the value of poetry. I'm not a poet but I like to read poetry aloud. You can really feel and imagine yourself 'on the mountain or hillside or the bog. You can hear the running stream..' I love Manchán's work , and we are fortunate to have him in our midst, literally, lol.

Thank you Annemarie and Manchan for keeping the language and culture alive. I have fond memories of visiting Ireland where my grandfather's family came from Mullingar. It always felt like I was home whenever we visited. It is because of people like your grandmother that the language and culture still survives! This was so informative. Keep dreaming.

This was really fascinating. My first name is Magan (but pronounced like pagan) so it was kind of cool to see someone else with the same spelling as mine, even if it is a last name. Thank you.

Love the book, got a few copies for friends and family at Christmas and each one has been passed on in love. Really evokes a sense of connection to this land and all ancient cultures 💗
