In this video I show you the full ambient lighting and features of the S-class during a night cruise in Stuttgart. It has a V8 with 496 HP and over 700 Nm of Torque. @Martin Svensson bro where have you been from the day they started the ambient lighting in the S class you been able to turn it off or adjust it to your liking 😂
@Martin Svensson you're not staring at the cluster screen constantly you're looking at the road and I'm sure you can adjust the brightness/colour as well to help
@Martin Svensson The brightness of the screen and the ambient lighting can be adjusted...just like in every Mercedes-Benz.
@Martin Svensson you are talking to people who generally have no clue about rhodopsin mediated photoreversal, retinal oxidative damage from blue light or how blue light ruins scotopic and mesopic vision. I have been speaking on the subject for the last 6 years. Car manufacturers that use blue lights in their instrumentation are CLUELESS.

@mind yours not just the S, The E class is screwed up too. Seems to me they’re trying too copy Audi/ BMW too much and are steering away from the elegance and luxury mercedes was known for. They’re unnecessarily making the car too sporty which is not what an S or an E class stood for...

Personally i feel all those lights are distracting, and the strong light glares annoys me a bit, i prefer a dark atmosphere in the cabin.

@@Kevink4240 there is a lot of researchrs that says using touchscreen while driving is imparing the driver because touch screen, your eyes needs to be off the road to touch a button on the screen cause it lacks muscle memory. and trying to touch while drving on a bumpy road is almost impossible. It is just a terrible trend that customers think that the touch screen is the future.

@@lukaszg74 That big screen allows the road to be on your peripheral, and away from you, the phone you have to have it close to your eyeballs.
if you had more than 2 braincells you'd quickly realized that a gigantic centre console is different than a small item that you look down on. if you use this console you can still see the road. Besides that, you're not texting on the console.
