    That box clamping trick is solid for drawer construction!

      That's what I was thinking too. I've seen it used a number of times before! I know Michael Alm uses it a lot for his paterned plywood projects (too intricate for me, but cool!) I was thinking the same thing though. It would be an easy setup if you had 3-4 drawers all the same size you could really batch them out!

    What a great collection! Some are new (To me) and some are a good refresher. I have a habit of seeing a good tip but then forgetting it.

      Greatly appreciated!

    Love to watch your videos.
    I've been woodworking since 1974 and here's my most used tips if you haven't covered it.
    Early beginner, speed square for cross cutting with a portable circular saw .
    Cut 4 45 degrees on a 2x2 about 12-18" long so it makes a pointed tip, cut off and repeat to make triangle holders for painting and staining.
    Fastcap lefty, righty tape measure like the one you used.
    Can't wait for your next release.

      That's awesome! You started woodworking 1 year before I was born. So cool to have someone watch that has so much experience! Love that you shared some tips. I'm actually thinking about doing a tips and tricks video from viewers similar to the way Colin From WWW does. I think it would be a fun thing to do. Thanks again for watching and the tips! :)

    For extending the rip fence on the table saw I’ve found a section of angle iron or aluminum, or straight sturdy metal.
    Instead of tape use fluorescent or any other bright spray paint learned this from construction work to identify tools.

    I used some yellow spray paint on the back side of my Fastcap tape measure. I only lost it when the black side was up. I could see the green.

    Colin is the best (next to you, of course) and he's on one of those foreign channels also, but he speaks. Must be nice to be able to use walnut for a jig. The only thing about putting tape on the Fastcap is that you cover up the writing surface on that one side. I'm taking care.

    • @FlynndoggWoodwork
      @FlynndoggWoodwork  Год назад +1

      Well, you should see how much of that walnut I have. I literally have a 6 foot stack 5 foot wide and 13 foot long of it. It was from an old vaneer shop. I have a plan for it, but it takes up so much space in my shop and I need to start using it! :) Thanks as always for watching! :) I agree with the fastcap comment too. However I haven't used that feature of it yet!

    Great tips Bryan. I can’t count how many times I’ve jointed using mr. 731’s method. He was one of the first woodworkers I started following and was surprised to find out he’s only about 3 hours away from me. I used to go through Monticello all the time lol.

      Oh that's very cool! He seems like a great guy! I like the fact that he has gotten back to some more simple project builds in the last few videos. That is what I really liked watching him do, but he probably like me gets more views from tool reviews! :) Thanks for watchign as always Griffin Woodworks!

    Love your channel. Would love to see improvements or tweaks on the hacks.
    Some creators you credited and others you just said they were foreign or don't speak English. At least it seems you could have flashed their channel names on screen and in the comments. 😢
    Edited to remove overly judgmental language. I was too harsh.

    • @FlynndoggWoodwork
      @FlynndoggWoodwork  Год назад +1

      Well, I agree, but a lot of these hacks I have seen on multiple channels. I was just putting credit in where I had seen the hack most recently. I'm sure none of these channels actually created these tips, they just, like myself, are sharing the knowledge they learned from someone else. My intent was not to "steal" anyone's tips but give viewers some some excellent other channels to check out. This whole craft is based on sharing information, that is all I was trying to do. But I respect your opinion! :)

    • @To-Lo77

      Stealing is a tough word to toss out there for what he tried doing g here, which was PASS ALONG KNOWLEDGE/TIPS & TRICKS from other creators - USA/Non-English speaking based, which were clearly mentioned & credit was give to where he found this information.
      There are plenty of people out there in this world today that over analyze, quick to assume & use a sharp tongue without knowing facts in advance. The World doesn't need one more, please! Just my opinion & observation of course.
      Thanks FlynnDogg for your efforts no matter how people are today 🤜 🤛 ....
