For the black marks I use dollar store wax paper and lay it over the clamps. I use wax paper all kinds of ways and I compared price per foot with the grocery store and the dollar store is cheaper. I often use my table saw and fence for gluing 90 degrees and just put wax paper over the saw table.
Great tips. Can't you cut a slice in the blue tape with a razor knife so the table saw blade with the riving knife can go up without tearing the tape? That should allow you to keep the riving knife on.
On the blue tape Zero Clearance set up, don't remove the riving knife, just cut out the blue tape over it. Wow man, either your shop is really cold or you have really bad breath. Get a heater.

I have not used the galvanized pipe so not sure if it would leave the same black marks or not, as I think it is a chemical reaction that is causing the marks.
This is like the first physics class you should reflect upon as you become an engineer. The pitch of his voice is unbearable, however, he is a true master.
I’m not sure why my reply to a comment on here keeps on being erased or blocked so I will try it here. It is not that the jokes are not appreciated. It is the sexual frat boy jokes that are the issue. I watch woodworking videos with my 10 year old daughter because she enjoys that time with me as well as being in the shop. I do not expect to get jokes like that and do not want to have to explain what a sausage party is or what a circle jerk is. So I can not watch your videos for that reason and that is a shame because you do provide some good information.
Damn dude I can see your breath it is that freakin cool in your shop!! I live in south Texas and that is great when you want to go to the beach and get fishing, But total hell when you want to work in your shop! My shop is one of those tuff shed barns and it is hot as hell! Yup, all year long! Our winter lasts for about a week in early February yup that's it one week and yes our Governor is an idiot and people die. It only happens about every 20 or so years though. Other than that we are lucky to get 80 degrees, most of the year it hits 3 digits! We go to hell to cool off. 90 degree winters is our norm. But pipe clamps are not cheap here either if you get the cheap parts from Harbor Freight then the black pipe is around 30 bucks so that comes out to about 40 dollars for 8 footers or 20 for the 4 footers.

You can extend that cross cut by lifting the piece toward the blade, not for the feint of heart but it is an old timer trick. Be careful.

You could use both ends of the block and get twice as many or even better use half of each side for the rabbits and have a bunch of measurements

Cut 3-pvc pipes 1 1/2 inches long protects and you can use clamps much small when needed.

I’ve seen tips to use paste wax on the pipes before glue ups. I think it’s more for glue drips, but would expect it’s also for staining.
