    I just bought this exact model today from Sam’s. They’re scheduling out 5-6 weeks for assembly so this video is encouraging. Perhaps my boyfriend and I can do it ourselves and save $400. 😀

    Hello, thanks for the video. One of my post arms warped it’s not level and theirs no room for adjustment. Did you have the same issue?

    • @bartermania
      @bartermania  Год назад

      Oh wow! Nope, I did not have an issue with a warped post arm. The top grid pieces were bowed and I was able to force them straight while screwing down…. I would call the mfr directly or report the issue with Sams etc… odds are they can fix the issue. Goodluck ☘️

    New sub here! you're the only one to show how to add something under the deck to carry load! After you added the concrete did you drill it to the post underneath or just added the extra support for he weight?

    • @bartermania
      @bartermania  Год назад +1

      Welcome to my channel. To be honest… it’s built good enough and it is solid to drill the set screws into the provided post brackets…. The brackets drilled into the wooden deck is gonna last. Eventually the wood will give way or sink if you don’t support from underneath… years but still worth doing as preventative. Enjoy the pergola. It’s a nice one!!! I’m about to create a new video on hanging lights and a fan inside as well . 👍☘️

    • @bartermania

    Looks great!! I’ve been thinking of buying the same model but wasn’t sure about how to secure it to concrete? If I clear the grass in my yard and pour 4 concrete footers, would it be easy to attach to the posts?

      Hi Ben, thanks for watching. Absolutely user friendly and easy to attach to your footers. There are options and extra hardware included for various options. 👍☘️

    I'm no carpenter but I'll tell ya what... I might have crawled under that deck but I wouldn't have gone as far as you did... Wow lol. I was thinking that maybe if you couldn't get that low far spot you may have been able to unscrew a deck board and got to the spot under the deck that way. What you think?

    • @bartermania
      @bartermania  Год назад

      Absolutely correct. Prob a smart choice… I just thought while I was down there already I would knock it all out. 👍☘️

      @@bartermania I agree. But man o man... you definitely was in a super tight space. I know about that when we used to have an old trailer back in the days and I was a bit nervous about wild animals under there, plus I'm phobic to tight spaces like that. I did go under there many times but I didnt like it and I used to carry my gun under there. You did awesome handling that.
