Sydney yeah that's cool I'd like to convert an old gas station into a house I like to work on my own car so would be nice to have a car lift right there in the floor of my garage
Sydney definitely not enough old spaces/buildings to make enough homes for the growing populations everywhere, especially cities. Also, not everyone can afford to buy houses that need this much time and work to complete. It's cheaper for developers to just buy regular untouched land (or just flatten previously touched land) and start fresh. I've lived in two older houses made around the 50's-60s...and trust me...they're more trouble financially than they're worth, especially in place like here in Fl where the elements are harsh on the house.

Such an amazing place to live. I love all the high end kitchen appliances and bathroom fixtures. They really made this so beautiful 💕💕💕💕 the roof top deck. 😍
Belgium in general. Nothing in this country is on par with the wealth we are generating. Infrastructure is crap. We have 6 governments which work against each other. For example Brussels international airport is located just outside the Brussels region and thus is actually in Flanders. Recently the Brussels government has decided to fine planes who fly over Brussels for noise pollution. Most of the people who work at airport are from Brussels and most of the tourists who visit come to Brussels. Other example: a divorce can take up more than ten years to complete. A murderer gets pretty much out of jail after 10 years and a rapist even less. Public transport is expensive and doesn't work at all and countless other examples. In Belgium we have three regions and everybody can only vote on people who represent their own region. Knowing that Flemish and Walloons have completely different views of life and every region has +/- 10 different political parties things won't change. Good things here are education and healthcare is more or less free
Amazing how much work they put in to convert it into a home but it doesn’t feel homely to me, which doesn’t matter because I will never live there. Hats off to these people though for all the hard work!
I must say as someone who loves meteorology, having any home with a 360° unobstructed view of the sky is very appealing to me. While I would not particular want this house because I hate the idea of going down two floors from the kitchen to get to the bathroom. I do like the idea of the super tall shower.
Absolutely fantastic. I just observed an old tower the other day and said it would be amazing to make that into a living space... not knowing someone has done this with a water tower. I love heights and cannot imagine a better home than something like this!
What a luxurious bathroom. Love that toilet too. My best woolgathering is done while taking a dump, and I'd look up to the window where the light comes in. Would be wonderful to have a view while doing it too.
Wow. So close to the airport too with amazing view. Awesome. Probably is a bit noisy inside during a day with the planes, but as a fan of aviation, and industrial design, I love it. It also looks very specious with so many levels and each room being circular and really big. It works.
Really nice project. I love the feeling of it, and all the ideas to keep original elements. But seems not very practical. It's good for week of holidays (if you do not have fear of highs). But because very close proximity of airport it's not livable. I can't see the elevator either (but there was something that looked like one outside).

There is an elevator. For some reason they didn't show it in the video.
The elevator shaft is visible from the outside.
Thanks, that was my first observation. Would be almost impossible living here with children or elderly person without a lift.
Amazing space but very cold design!
Yea very cold it’s certainly needs warmth
Cold water
How to pass 40 and still have an ass that looks good in khakis- Live on the 5th floor of an old water tower.
Worth it.

I’d do him...and steal his credit card.

If you walked all those stairs every day, you would too. Haha

Such an amazing place to live. I love all the high end kitchen appliances and bathroom fixtures. They really made this so beautiful 💕💕💕💕 the roof top deck. 😍
Times like this, it's the perfect house to spend your quarantine. Corona sucks!
7 years to get permits. That's crap.
artiew87 yeah. I feel it kinda ruins the man's dream of living here. cos he lived here for less than 2 years and had to move for his children sake
Belgium is a horrible country (i'm belgian)
Maxime De Clerck Belgium in general, or Wallonia in this regard?
artiew87 I'm interested to know what makes it so horrible.?
Awesome build and as a bonus easy to defend in case of a zombie apocalypse !
You have to be really talented to make this into such a beautiful home. The views from the Windows are amazing. Wonderful job.
Amazing how much work they put in to convert it into a home but it doesn’t feel homely to me, which doesn’t matter because I will never live there. Hats off to these people though for all the hard work!
12 years!Wow I mean just wowwww it was absolutely worth the wait
I must say as someone who loves meteorology, having any home with a 360° unobstructed view of the sky is very appealing to me.
While I would not particular want this house because I hate the idea of going down two floors from the kitchen to get to the bathroom. I do like the idea of the super tall shower.
Unreal home!! Absolutely awesome! ! Needs some interesting art work on the walls and around the house.
How to survive a zombie apocalypse... Lol
Loved it. Great job and enthusiasm. Especially in getting the permits.
😎
Absolutely fantastic. I just observed an old tower the other day and said it would be amazing to make that into a living space... not knowing someone has done this with a water tower. I love heights and cannot imagine a better home than something like this!
What a luxurious bathroom. Love that toilet too. My best woolgathering is done while taking a dump, and I'd look up to the window where the light comes in. Would be wonderful to have a view while doing it too.
Beautiful original design and great execution. Thanks for sharing!
I would spend hours on top of that roof just listening to music and enjoin life ...
Simone Bonfanti ...and a doobie...
Simone Bonfanti i would add coffee and cigarettes for company.
I think you can’t, you will hear the busy road 😅
@@MegaNbaboy and the planes! They can be really loud, especially when you're this close.
They is a old water tower in London turned into a house the views are amazing
It’s a lovely shaped building. Could imagine being up there all snug on a cold winters day.
Wow. So close to the airport too with amazing view. Awesome. Probably is a bit noisy inside during a day with the planes, but as a fan of aviation, and industrial design, I love it. It also looks very specious with so many levels and each room being circular and really big. It works.
That’s everything 👌🏼
At least friends can find their house easily. “I live in the water tank. You can’t miss it.”
Next you'll see a guy who turned an old dumpster into a luxury apartment.
"we created a toilet with a view"
"*gasp* oh wooooww"
lol
Connor Amlee 😂
That view goes two ways pal.
Awesome!! Bullet trains to the left and plane spotting to the right....
Taking a shower above the entire town is the ultimate flex! Awesome house!
12 years to take a dump with that view. Unbelievable.
Really nice project. I love the feeling of it, and all the ideas to keep original elements. But seems not very practical. It's good for week of holidays (if you do not have fear of highs). But because very close proximity of airport it's not livable. I can't see the elevator either (but there was something that looked like one outside).
DentargPL 13:26 was that not an elevator behind him?or am i wrong?
3:57 when the kids are naughty we lock them up in here*
What a REALLY COOL PLACE TO LIVE!!!
I watched this video like 5-6 years ago and now a few days ago I drove past this building. I said to myself “damn I know this building” then I remembered that it was from a RUclips video! So here I am once again
