    Had mine done about 12 days ago. Can see 20/20 clearly (very nearly the next line after). Vision already feels normal!!! It's really amazing! Very happy! Was at a -10 and -9 on each eye!!!

      I have been told I am suitable for ICL surgery and not laser so I've booked my surgery next month! Really nervous but very excited at the same time, I am short sighted , a bit less then you but still a high prescription.. I have a few questions please if you can help.
      1. Was you scared during the surgery, did you see or feel any pain at all?
      2. Did you see straight after the surgery?
      3. Is there any pain, side effects you have experienced after the surgery.
      Thanks in advance, it will be very helpful!

      1) A little bit. But the drugs did help. Your defiantly still aware but not really AFRAID per say.
      Absolutely no pain. I promise.
      2) You can see pretty well after surgery. But your gonna be a little wonky for the rest of the day so you'll likely sleep most of the rest of the day.
      3) I didn't have ANY discomfort.
      I'm seeing 20/20 and I've VERY happy.

      @@Fen-Bird Thanks for your reply☺️very helpful!, I am just worried about pain but now you reassured me from your experiences that it will be fine. I'm excited to do it, I've been wearing glasses since I was a child. I'm doing this at the London vision clinic, so will update on my experiences too so it can help others. Where did you do your surgery?

      1. Should I go for ICL or RLE?
      2. Did doctor tell you any sideeffects?

      How are you now with ICL?

  • @peterkoch
    @peterkoch Месяц назад +1

    I had ICL 6 months ago, and whilst it is amazing and life changing, my eye had a remaining 1.0 astigmatism which makes distance blurry. I can go day by day without glasses, but the blurriness makes it difficult at work. My surgeon doesn't want to replace the lens, but rather I will get a PRK touchup in 2 months to correct it 🤞

    😢 You use -14 as an extreme example and I’m passed -20. But thank you, this gives great reassurance that successfully reaching 20/20 isn’t impossible.

    What about ICL lens rotation in the case of toric lenses?

    • @MetallicReg
      @MetallicReg 10 месяцев назад +1

      Extremely rare and usually only the case in traumatic/sport in the first month.
      You need to give some time for it to get into a firm position.
      And even if it manages to rotate - small rotations don’t seem to impact vision quality in clinically significant ways.
      But if it really does rotate - you can just reopen the cut and correct the position at any tame later on.

      @@ME-ys6vl Hi, I have undergone ICL Surgery 2 months ago in Hyderabad, India. Vision is normal. Currently most of the eye clinics/hospitals are using 4th generation lenses, IOP issues will be very rare, as you will be using 3-4 types of eye drops from surgery time to 1-4 months.
