I know this is a bit of an older video but this is a great review of jeans. More people need to do a format like this the only thing I would ask is how do they hold up as far as shrinkage after the first couple washes and dry cycles
@@makcatchem9614 When jeans are washed, they can sometimes temporarily shrink. I talked to the company they suggest to adjust the fit, gently stretching them out after washing. For best results, wash them in cold water, dry them partially, and then allow them to finish air drying. I never do this… I just do a couple squats and that seems to re-stretch them out. I also started buying the relaxed fit as well. I have thicker thighs and really don’t like slim fit/clothes hugging my legs. Hope this helps! Thanks for the comment!
@@thewisebuyguy thank you. I weren't with straight. Just ordered some so we will see how that works out. I noticed that they have a good return policy so if need be I will change the size.
Jagging‘s lol In all seriousness, if you’ve ever worn vertex or some of the other stretchy jeans they feel similar enough. I think these are particularly more comfortable and have an extraordinary pocket layout. I’ve never really been one for jeans anyways so… Hopefully that helps!
@@thewisebuyguy I have some 5.11 Stryker pants and they are stretchy ripstop material - i like them alot and they last for years even working construction but a guy really should have a least a couple pairs of jeans. Maybe I will give them a try then. 👍 thanks.
@@IanMShooter I do not think they are nearly as durable as those pants. Ripstop fabric is tough to beat. If you’re planning on doing things that are particularly rough they may not be the ones for you. But… Amazon has a great return policy lol
And after some time wearing them, there seams bust like crazy. I had a pair of jeans for like six months and had it split on me. I got another pair, thinking it was a fluke and that one only lasted about six months as well. I’m planning on making another video on those… Yet they are the most comfortable pair, and their pockets are phenomenal.
@@thewisebuyguy- I've compared Vertx Defiance, 5.11 Defender Flex, and the LA Police Gear pant you reviewed....#1 Place - Vertx Defiance Jean : Thicker jean material, stitching appears to be better, jusseted crotch (comfortable and allows more movement), #2 - 5.11 Defender Flex : a great pant but not quite the quality of the Vertx. The Defender Flex is a good pant, but the Vertx Defiance Jean wears better, maintains color better than 5.11....LA Police Gear is okay, but when you compare all 3 together....LA Police Gear Quality is less than acceptable.
@@MGRodriguez1 so I tried the others as well, what I really LOVED was the pocket layout. In my opinion it was amazing! I also liked the price lol. However blowing out seams so quickly for what I am doing isn’t acceptable. I might have to switch back to the Vertx but I didn’t love them in the pocket use. I also tried the 5.11 and they were meh. Agree the Vertx is better quality but I was hoping these would last longer, cause it all about the amazing pockets lol
Have either of you tried the viktos operatus jeans? I'm really curious how they stack up against all these other options especially for the high price tage

And I'm pretty sure that you have found out by now is that the back belt loop is actually a pocket for a handcuff key
@@makcatchem9614 I do now 😂 never use that myself, but it’s a cool feature
I bought the LAPG pants on a whim & really enjoy them! That side pocket: I carry my cell phone there now!
i was skeptical but this turned out to be a great review
Unavailable in my size. 😢
I want to like them, but I'm wondering if they are too much like my wife's jeggings. Do you feel like you are wearing jeans? Or leggings?

@@thewisebuyguy I'd wear the ripstop for heavier tasks, jeans for just regular days.
Look at the difference in the thickness of the material between the Vertx and LA Police Gear.....The Vertx is built better...
