In case people wonder, Glock 19 with TLR-1 in a kydex holster fits perfectly in the Every Day fanny. A glock 17 with TLR-1 fits, but the grip is a little harder to get out.
How about glock 17 with a holosun optic and tlr-1?
@@Mrderekcf I tested a Glock 17 with a TLR-1 and it does fit, however it was definitely tighter than the 19. The draw will be more obstructed by the zipper and the bag, but it does fit. I don't have an optic to test that. With the Glock 17 I had to adjust the angle to get the grip to fully fit inside the bag.
Just from a security standpoint, having the buckle on the front aught to be a 5 star feature. Buckle on the back is a great way for someone to be able to pop it off you and run.
Thank you for showing the top/side profiles when loaded! It's a very useful, and often overlooked thing for most reviewers.

Great video. I’ve watched it a few times. I was using the SOCP fanny. Found it to be not always convenient. Just a little on the large size.
As a result of this video ordered the Every Day Fanny Pack.
Holds everything I need for daily bopping around. It is with me 95% of the time. Has become pretty much a man purse. Haha!
I don’t miss the few extra (unecessary) items that I have no room for.

Lena wanted to have the buckle in front for security reasons. Someone could approach from the rear and unbuckle and take from you .

@@thewisebuyguyhave you tried switching the method in which you put it on? Meaning if you switched your hands, would it be easier to put on?
@@911JSS easiest way I have found is holding the bag in the right hand and swinging the buckle around.
Great detailed review. I'm a huge fan of the Fanny sack and how compact it is. I do want a slightly bigger option, and I think this will be it.
That looks better than the Long Walks! fwiw I usually clip my flashlight to the strap of my 5.11 waist pack, that will depend on each light's clip.

I wish more manufacturers would use Fidlock or create their own version of a Fidlock buckle...
So glad I ran into your channel when I did! So in your opinion, what fanny pack bag would you recommend for me: I will carry a Glock 19 with a rmr and X300, multi tool/kņive ,chapstick, fruit snacks and (maybe) the smallest oc spray I can find. I want to keep it minimal and use it more as an emergency use bag rather than a high use bag. Thank you!
Because you have the X300, you are going to need the SOPC. I do not think it would fit in the Everyday Pack. If you look at how my G19 fits, it’s just barely there and I only have the TLR, the X300 sticks out another inch or two right? If so, won’t fit.
Plus if your using more as an emergency bag, I don’t know that I would try and cram it all in the small one, get the bigger one, have a little extra space where it’s not over full and bursting the zippers 😉 plus if you wanted to throw in a TQ or another snack you can 😉

@@christianpratt9728 you might be able to pull that off… If you want, my honest opinion, I would see if Amazon has both of them with free returns, figure out which one’s gonna fit your frame better (you’re a good 50 pounds lighter than I am, so jealous lol).
Depending on how much they cost from Amazon, you could either then return both of them and purchase the one that fit your frame better from another supplier, who does not cost as much, or if they were fairly priced keep the one that you wanted and just return the other.
I think my only concern is that X300. I have a TLR one, but I did not try it in the long walks pack. I just don’t think from what I recall that it is going to fit.

I agree , this is for bare essentials. Gun, keys, and a cell phone. I do not like my fanny pack socp gonna sell it. Look at the 5.11 LV line for larger packs.
I have both of those 😂 just haven’t had time to review them compared to the fanny pack.
I typically dislike sling bags because when I’m getting in and out of the car, you have to take it on and off, or when your going places it’s inconvenient to sit with it. Fanny packs are nice cause they just stay on all the time.
All I carry on me is Glock 43, mag, wallet, keys and phone. If I was going to war I wouldn’t be wearing this pack.
Does the main compartment already have velcro on one side? Is the velcro strong enough to pull the firearm out of the holster while keeping the holster secure? Thank you.
Yes. Plenty of soft loop on the body side of the pack. I haven’t had any issues with the holster coming out during 4 hour range sessions.
@@thewisebuyguy Thank you. I like the sage color bag because it does not look tactical. Most people wouldn't think "gun" bag. Pairing this up with the 945 industries kydex velcro holster should be a winner. I think the 945 industries QAPS bag is a little tight on the front pocket for an iPhone 15 Pro.
I have the SOCP and cut the cell phone pocket off. I think it works better without it. I don’t like wearing the SOCP cross body. For me it works better as a Fanny pack. I think the every day would work a lot better cross body.

SOCP I believe is around the 4 to 4.5 cubic size
I don’t actually know what the cubic size is.
Vertex to my knowledge has never disclaimed it. They give the dimensions and such (which I’m sure somebody could do the math on) but it’s not advertised like that, (that I have seen).

Why are you reviewing a fanny pack like it's a sling?
Did you watch the whole video or just the first bit? 😂 if you want to see it in a fanny pack, skip ahead to like half way through the video.
I initially started as a sling, so that it’s easier to see on camera however, I show it both as a sling and a fanny pack as many people dislike wearing it as a fanny pack… additionally it’s usually advertised being worn in a sling fashion.
