Android Wear is so awesome! Of course I had to show you guys how I use it with my Home Automation. Please feel free to reshare, though your iOS buddies might get jealous ;)
Haha. I'm showing this to my Windows phone buddy!
Haha, I'm watching the first part of this video and I'm getting toast notifications saying "Please retrain voice model for OK Google" 😂
Steve Clarke
I can't watch it because my own Google Now is turning on! Haha!
Making me more and more impatient for the 360!
Also, we have the exact same TV, right down to the noise when it turns on
Haha! You keep activating my Google now with "ok, Google"
I was having the same problem
Same here. Excellent troll.
Same, probably need to update it to ignore the phones own audio.
Same here....lololol
Google learned his voice over mine :P
WHOA! At last, a video (featuring Android Wear) that's not just about screen brightness and which way to swipe in order to dismiss a notification or find your way back to the clock face.
LOL I figured most would be tired of watching the same "review". So I did something different, like I always do.
Jose R ehhm okaay...
I was watching this video on my nexus 5 and I was surprised to see you started google now a few times on my phone. My face expression was priceless.
Your OK Google in the beginning kept activating my OK Google every where while on RUclips haha great video!!
Awesome Android Wear demo, Armando! I'm stoked to receive mine on Monday. Believe it or not, I've never used Tasker! You might have me bugging you on Hangouts soon, lol ;)
Enjoy your videos, always real world topics. Keep them coming. Thank You.
Thanks for giving me a new career goal. 8 am a mobile electronics unstapled but these install are so easy for me and this is the future I'm going for it
freaking cool use of Android Wear. I hope to someday have my home automated on this level.
i always find myself a little envious when im watching your videos
You have done it again!
That is awesome man!
Great. Was playing with my phone and it activated Google Now during the video. :)
@ Armando Ferreira - Nice job! can you elaborate more on the hardware/devices you are using that work with Gear Live and also how you were able to program/discover the commands/keywords to get things to work? Thanks :)
This....is...AWESOME!!!
Excellent video! Just one question - how exactly did you set up those toggles and the overall commands? I live in germany and Google Now didn't unlock all features that you (US citizens) have but I'm very eager on getting the idea behind this...thanks a lot!
I completely whole heartedly agree with the trend nowadays where people are glued to their phone in every public arena, i find it just very frustrating and sometimes very annoying. The fact that Android wear just Works is even better than what i hoped so looking forward to it.
You rock man!
Cool stuff!
Drooling right haha, nice video Armando!
Pretty cool!!!
hello Armando,
Could you please tell me what thermostat are you using in this video? I`m looking for a solucion in order to control an (inverter) Air Conditioner.
Hi Armando. Is that an iSmartAlarm system? If so, what tasks allowed you to push the sensor notification to your watch? If not, what alarm system is it? Thanks.
Hmm, this looks awesome. But how exactly did you implement custom Voice-Commands that do not start with "Start.."? developer.android.com/training/wearables/apps/voice.html
This video is full soo full of crap!!! *****
No a single mention of all the hardware involved in switching things on and off; or the very elaborate tasker setup you must have..
Yet you repeat on and on how easy it was to get everything working out of the box.. Like its magic.
Feels like youre cheating. Youre mocking people.
It is SO misleading. I just cant beleive it.
Sebastian Mauer Obviously, it simply uses Free-form speech input; Tasker is listening on the phone' end; triggers an action and the "Magic" happens. There is nothing running on the watch itself.
^he had everything set up on his phone so technically everything worked from the watch out of the box just by pairing the phone and watch.
That being said; it sure is a step forward: We now know we can use pretty much any kind of sick custom voice commands as long as the app is running on the phone. Just use the watch as a dumb microphone.
That guy is always full of shit
I think there is someone else hidden somewhere. :)
Great video
Very cool!
Amazing!
Awesome👍
4:20 lol!!! Btw ur house looks really nice
Hello I have the moto 360 is it possible on tasker or autonotificatons make a task to only turn the phone bluetooth on when I get any notifications like sms twitter and so on. Just to conserve more batery on the 360.
Thanks
Insane. Awesome.
Awesome!
Armando, how do you configure Tasker to turn on your computer?
Cool video.! Can you do a comparison with the gear 2 (which I bought right before the Wear was launched). I don't really know how much integration there is with the gear 2 and Google now. I do know I can answer phone calls with the gear 2 which sounds awkward but sometimes is really handy!
You are living the dream man! _/\_
Is there a way to work around google now and the 'ok google now' command and use the microphone of the watch to active commands in autovoice directly? as in.. saying 'turn on office lamp' and it will do that.. if so, does it require root? thanks for the help! :)
How do you control everything with the watch? I want to be able to turn on my lights/computer/TV too. I only have Note 3 though. No watch.
Did u integrate your smart watch with a home automation system like Nest?
This was one of the most frustrating videos from you.... My phone keeps activating to your voice!!! :p great video as always
Great video mate. I have a moto 360 1st gen, nest thermostat, nest outdoor cam, hue lights and tp link smart plug. Please can you make a video of how to use my android watch with voice with Google to control those devices. I. E change the temperature, turn lights on and off etc. I thought it would work out the box the same way as Google assist does on the phone but it doesn't. Thanks. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Hello Armando! How do you do to use Android Wear for commands? I'm trying but not working. Just do a search on Google about voice command. Thank you very much!
Looking really into Home Automation and Tasker in particularly but I've got to ask: ***** what did you use to turn your TV on and off? The computer had WOL but you've probably used some AutoVera equipment or did your TV have it included?
Does your TV have serial or network port?
It has a network port Daniel Dur
Daniel Dur you are basically telling me that I should attach a computer or something to turn it off again? Turning on I can do with my Chromecast for example with HDMI-CEC support (or whatever), I'm concerned about the turning off bit.
I'm telling you that your TV must have a set of commands that can be send via network to make it do all kinds of things.
For example my TV has RS232 and my AV receiver has network ports and I am controlling them both with EventGhost.
If you check your TV's manual, you should find some mentions about network control.
Sweet!
Watching this video made all my devices start going off 😜
How are you controlling the TV and lights? Amazing!
It's called Vera... Check out Droid KC automation 😊
Here you go - Android Home Automation - Vera Lite - Z Wave | Pa…: ruclips.net/video/vGkk1VCKpvs/видео.html
I realized a lot of you are asking me what parts I used and how to set it up. I've added some links of previous videos I've done in the past that will help. So please +1 this comment so people can read it. THANKS!
I just wonder if you also need root and the xposed module...
Hi, please tell me how you did that with the notifications. Vera Alerts does not work with my phone.
What do you think about *Wink Hub*?
***** did you made a video about the setup? Because that's slick! As soon as google improves the speed the watch communicates and responds to commands faster could be truly epic, but imagine coming home and having all the little details ready as you move on your way there, it would be glorious!
can android wear voice action work if the phone is offline (but connected via Bluetooth) and using offline voice dictation?
Just received my G watch today, and love it! Only thing that bothers me is how the screen stays on while and after it's fully charged. I'm old school and still worry about burn in and other adverse longevity issues.
So what all is needed to achieve this? What are those door sensors?
This looks so cool!! how much does the home automation cost?
***** awesome Video. I need badly to invest in home automation. How is your computer technically started? Is it via WOL?
I can't wait until we can drop the "Okay Google" part.
Would be nice to configure your own "hotword".
***** Go Go Gadget pop corn machine.
I would much rather say "YO" to activate it lol
Looool
I'd like to say "Yo, b****"
Can you make a tutorial video using Autoremote and IFTTT? I see they have the capabilities to interact but I have no clue of have to set it up. This would be great to do voice commands from my Moto 360 to update Twitter or FB status.
What systems or hardware devices are you using to actually control the lights and TV. I'm hooked, just new to the game. I was a blackberry guy even until the q10. Don't judge. I now have a note 3 and tasker.
Set me free!!!
Where do you get those trip sensors?
how did you turn on the pc?
Cool...great Armando..feel the delay is too much..hope it improves in future versions. ..
Armando it's time to do the what's on my android phone 2014?
Great video... I'm almost sold on android wear now ....is it possible to make and receive calls from it?..by the way my phone went crazy while watching this
Can you link the sensors for the doors?
How do I auto mat my house or a room
Cool guy!
How are you controlling the PC?
What? What?! Is this an april fools vid out of proper season??! This will be awsome.
i have tasker but don't know what to use it for!
I hope you find some home automated guns, like the ones in the alien movies would be pretty neat tho.
Nice, but how did you do it?
***** , I don't know why, voice commands work directly on my phones Google now but when i use my LG G watch and try the same command, it doesn't do anything with tasker. Could you please help?
***** can you please show us how to do few of those things thank you.
Cool
I really really REALLY want a setup like this, the issue is the cost.
The most I could do right now is automate my computer to unlock whenever I'm in my room with Unified Remote, Tasker and NFC tags.
How to do this
***** How do you get the menu/toggles to work on the watch? I can do all the voice stuff. I am however not getting the same visual feedback as you are, probably because I'm not creating a notification.
What do you guy's like most about these watches. Like, for example. What benefits do find you get by owning one. I don't see the point in purchasing one. Thanks in advance
It makes it so I don't have to carry my phone with me all the time when I'm at work or home (I'm generally in BT range so it stays connected) Additionally I can reply to messages without grabbing my phone or pulling it out of my pocket if I'm on the go. Like the Pebble, it's meant to augment the interaction with your phone, not replace it.
Looks like he's using Tockle: forum.xda-developers.com/g-watch/themes-apps/tockle-start-tasker-apps-g-watch-t2813600
I love my gear live 😀
This is so awesome ! #Android #AndroidWear
***** have you made a video explaining how you set up everything ? It's just incredible
cant wait to implement this to my apartment when i move.
This. Is. Awesome.
Nice popcorn machine u got there!
UPD: Where can i click second "thumb" up?
It's funny how my watch has no reaction when I say OK Google, but reacts almost immediately when I play your video next to it.
***** I kind of have this working, but I need to say "OK Google" then say "Start Command" and then I can say my AutoVoice commands. How can I get rid of the "Start Command" part?
any smart watch
That was sweeeet, now you just need to install some automated guns! 😤😤😤
cool
How the hell do i do this?
My autovoice commands don't go through to my phone.
I tried using tockle but it requires me to say :"Start actionset" en then my command...
My phone activated search a million times during this video. >_
Do you have a moto x
Note 3 BarabusMaximus
this work with fibaro?
I'm having the hardest time setting this up AutoVoice with Android Wear. I dont agree that it works out of the box.
finally got it working, needed Google Search API 1.3.1
Now i think this is really funny. You say okay google and my google now activates ! "Power of Google Now" !!
you really are something
It's funny how every time you say "OK Google" my phone pauses the video and google search activates.
That's sucks 😩😩😩. Anyone who says Ok google, your phone is going to pause and activate the google voice ... 😢
There should be a voice recognition feature with OK Google.
Kapil C c I know that, but I know as well they are going to do something about it. It is going to annoying people around saying ok google just to bother..
And that's why we love android!
Watching this video on my nexus 5 turns on my google now search!!!! That is hilarious! It passed the video 3 different times...
If somebody tell me 10 years ago that we are gonna be able to control our home with watch,I will make him crazy. This is amazing.
Lol Armando every time you said ok google it opened up my phone voice search since I have it to open up on any page
Now we really live in the future with stuff like that. I can only imagine this could happen in the movie and Google make it really happen. Google u are the best...
Damn I can't watch this video without my phone not responding to ok google command! Lol
"Okay Google.....Shoot intruders" lol
did him saying, "ok google" so much make anyone else's phone go crazy?
