    4:26 unnecessay knowledge: the weapon manufacturer Oerlikon is actually called after the city they built them; Oerlikon. Today it‘s part of Zurich, the biggest City in Switzerland. Unfortunately we don‘t have itasha cars here, but we have a lot of itsaha cars here (watch the video again if you don‘t get the joke lol)

      I've encountered quite a lot of great looking American Muscle Itasha in the old Forza games, so it definitely would work even better in real life given the fact that you've even more freedom with a real car.

    Me, a Riko Sakurauchi oshi and Love Live fan, watching the start of this video where he just talks about Love Live... I've never felt so happy to feel like "THAT'S ME HE'S TALKING ABOUT ON SCREEN" in my life hahaha, properly freaking out as an Oshi and seeing Love Live get some attention from someone who makes a completely different genre of content.     Actually love this style of car and video..I don't know any characters outside of like pokemon and eva but the big loud colors and the detail in the wraps just have to be appreciated. Also love the tours of spots in japan I think as car people we all love a good drive somewhere and I'd honestly watch you walk around anywhere and tell stories Alexi. great video!

    It's always interesting to me that there are cross sections of people like this (like in this case racecar customization, weeb culture and military/vtubers/idols etc.) large enough for it to be an actual scene, a "thing". Like how many racecar customizing LoveLive fans are there for it to be a reocurring theme and have them meet up regularly?
    Another one of these things coming to mind would be the Anime/WW2/grand strategy gaming/history nerd scene, which i'd say i'm at least somewhat connected with. It's interesting to think about what quite specific but shared paths led all these otherwise unconnected people into this quite specific subculture (which i'd say isn't that small).
    A lot of them probably got into strategy games in their early years, stumbled across Anime on early RUclips, got into history at some point and it all converges, reinforced by social networks online, like on Steam or Discord.

Big brake kits…” I wish I could say that about the itasha scene in the US… I don’t even like going to most of the meets out here because it’s a ton of stock height cars on reps with a wrap that isn’t even designed nice let alone properly.

The actual itasha people don't just randomly put cute anime girls on their car, even the ones that don't have expensive parts and modification, are as precious as any great project cars in their owner's eyes.
