For years I've been teased because I have an entire process to grocery list creating. The way you explained everything sounds eerily similar to how mine is. It's trippy.
    Love this video!!!!

Jaime, those are great tips. I take any meals that are left on my last meal plan that we didn't get too, I move to the next weeks because I know I already have those ingredients. Saves on the grocery bill and no waste. Thanks so much for sharing.

This was so helpful! Ive never heard someone speak to ADHD challenges beyond just the actual meal planning. Managing the inventory of food is a huge problem for me. Speaking each item into a voice app is such a simple yet effective solution. I'm excited to try it. I also love the idea of just tracking the pantry items you always want to have available. Great ideas! Thank you

I'm so glad it helped! After being diagnosed last year I realized there wasn't a lot of info on this beyond just the general advice. My goal is to get more info like this out there!

You saying you use trello for meal planning just made me gasp. I NEVER thought to use trello for that. Having a quick and easy way to drag and organize recipies that I like makes it so much easier 😭

    Great tips Jaime!😍
I think the smartest part of the equation is making lists!😘(my favorite thing!)
Like your pantry list of items to have on hand at all times! And knowing the items will be there when you're ready to prepare something specific!😋
I just watched a woman on TikTok who has a teenager and twins who are still pretty young.
Something she does is to put refrigerated items in a container in the fridge and label it for the dish it's intended for. She keeps these containers on the top shelf so everyone knows not to bother them.
She also puts symbols on packages in the freezer that are designated for planned meals.
It really helps her keep track of the food needed for specific meals and all the kids know the symbol for items to leave alone.
I wish I had shared this video with you. If I run across it again I will do that!☺️
This all started when people were telling her to get the organizing containers for all of her food storage. And you know how overwhelming that can be, especially when it's the first time.
But that's when she decided to use the containers to help with meal planning and she labels each container with the name of the dish she's making.
This woman is fascinating to watch because she does things that work for her family. Because sometimes you have to think outside the box!😚
I will definitely email any videos that might be helpful for you. Then you can see if any of her ideas could be useful for your meal planning and prepping.
You're getting so many helpful ideas in place for your meal plans and taking away so much stress! Sometimes I think of you when I'm watching videos and I'll definitely send them to you if I think you might be interested!😊
Thanks for sharing another great video with some great ideas!🥰

Did you end up finding that Tik Toker? I'd love to know her name 😊
I've also seen pantry storage for certain recipes such as a favourite chocolate chip cookie recipe. All the ingredients are stored together in one container and labelled as such. Fantastic idea when you want to make something quick and you're not sure if you have all the ingredients on hand.

Thanks for sharing your process. Too many stages and lists to maintain for me, but interesting.
I too have given up on trying to maintain an up-to-date inventory of items and adopted a general 'two uses worth of everything' of the non-perishable products in my pantry and kind of like your pantry list idea, whenever I take something out of the pantry it also gets immediately added to my shopping list app as a standard replacement.
I have also given up on having shopping lists per store, but rather just have all items in a single shopping list and if a specific product is better or only available from a specific store I add the store name into the item description. This only works conveniently with shopping list apps that 'remember' your previous entries in a dynamic database and supports quick seach & fill like ShopShop that I use. So I don't have to find LIDL-store entry and then type 'Joghurt, plain' on the list, but rather the app remembers that I've had 'Joghurt, plain LIDL' once on the list and when I now just type 'jogh' in the input field it'll present a list of all entries containing the string 'jogh', which I can then just tap to auto-complete and add.
While I use Trello for long-term project planning I prefer maintaining my tried-and-true recipe library in an recipe app (Bergamot in my case) and when I find a working recipe I'll create a "brain-friendly" version of it into Bergamot for future reference with all additions, simplifications and corrections to the original recipe I made and it has become my shortlist of go-to meals if I don't have anything specific in mind.
My biggest problem is remembering what recipes I had on the meal plan after doing the groceries, which can result in waste due to not remembering the correct recipe and then using something similar, but with differences in ingredients.
I've been experimenting with a simple 'Meal plan'-note on my phone, in which I detail exactly which recipe I've based my grocery list on for each meal and also possible starter-main course-desserts per meal I have planned to remember to keep them together when I make the dishes.
