Not to say Adin Rudd, eng va of Sam, is bad or anything, I love his delivery and power he brings with all his Sam lines. But I feel like that's why there's such a split between Firefly and Sam fans. It's cause for the english side at least, the difference between the 2 are way more apparent than other languages. The cute, soft spoken and sometimes meak but energetic Firefly suddenly turning to a roaring behemoth is very splitting. It feels less like Firefly having an alter ego and more so that they might actually be different people. Again, I need to repeat, I love Adin's portrayal of Sam... but yeah, you could say he did too well, or went too far in that direction where he didn't synergize well enough with Analesa Fisher, voice of Firefly, compared to the other language's duos. Next to them is probably Korean Firefly, but because now Firefly is wayyy too softer now. There needs to be a balance, and I feel like CN duo probably did the best.

EN Sam is so weird for me… now that we know that it’s all just Firefly talking it really makes no sense for her to sound that bloodthirsty while in her suit. The more calm and emotionless approach just fits so much better with context.
HSR makes every english VA so damn well. For the longest time I was against any english VO and was playing with JP like a total weeb. But this generation of VAs is incredible. They all sound like a real people, instead of perfect voices English is by far the best right now
Yeah en firefly is one of the few characters that out do japanesse versions. Other ones i can think of are robin, asta, black swan, and maybe himeko but just in some scenarios
I agree, EN is so peak for Firefly. She actually giggled during the acting audition. I feel like KR is wayy to meek, and JP is kinda like KR, but less so. CN is nice as well, although I still like EN more for some reason. Plus she actually has emotions in her lines when inside SAM, she's not a terminator, she's a really passionate warrior. She's also not a superhero, as apparent in the story.
