Firefly, in particular, did not really get enough screen time at all. Which is confusing to me considering the amount of hype associated with her. If I recalled correctly, here's a summary of her screen time: 1. Goes on a date with the Trailblazer 2. Gets stabbed 3. Comes back as red SAM and fights Acheron a little bit before the Trailblazer gets abducted by Black Swan 4. Guides the Trailblazer to the dream place after Acheron sends Aventurine to the shadow realm 5. Tagged along the Astral Express crew (in pursuit of Sunday) but didn't really do anything except break out of the dream and left us to our own devices. 6. Grabbed a bomb and flew off (but the bomb was just a prank setup by a friend) She doesn't even use her green SAM form to fight anything? And her back story is all tucked away in trailers and anime videos. Her influence on the overall story is bare minimum. They could easily just delete every scene with her and replace with Robin (or replace with nothing) and the story wouldn't change significantly.
What a journey we’ve been on with Firefly. Never thought I’d have a character I related so much to. Thank Shaoji for yet another character that has truly changed my life for the better. Thank you for writing Kiana, Elysia, Fu Hua, Himeko, Bronya, Seele, and Firefly.
I always believed Firefly is a spiritual successor to Kiana…she got almost all her traits, from being a clone herself, her blend of sweetness and heroism to her never give up attitude, and they even put her on the path of Finality 🥲
