I have been hoping for this to appear on RUclips for months. Thanks very much. Phil Manzanera is a woefully under-rated guitarist - never flashy, always supremely musical!
Wish there were other close shots of PM besides in the final seconds, but I'll take it...finally seeing what I've been hearing for years. Thanks for posting!
Ooh, ooh, hambuns, you might want to add this to your tags. The percussionist back there is Ray Cooper, formerly with the Elton John band in the 70s. He's appeared on zillions of all-star concerts from the 80s that I've seen, including Eric Clapton's Unplugged.
I have followed PM career since he started in RM I would like to see him play without any treatments to the guitar. Gary Moore, David Gilmore he is not.
QUE DESASTRE EL DIRECTOR DE CAMARAS, TOTAL FALTA DE COHERENCIA CON LAS IMAGENES, MALOS ANGULOS NO ENFOCA A MANZANERA, MUCHAS TOMAS DE LEJOS, CUALQUIER SOQUETE DIRIGE CAMARAS Y ESTROPEA UNA FILMACION!!!!
Think of all the great guitarist at this show, and PHil steals the show. Along with with ths Spanish crew, great memories,i will never forget.
The main flamenco dancer here is renowned dancer Ana Parrilla from Jerez, Spain. She received high marks for her performance at the Expo.
Absolutely brilliant! The combination of the 801 sound with flamenco dancers is perfect.
Phil Manzanera! Impossible Guitar...made possible!
Absolutely perfect. It's great to see Phil take center stage with a great guitar medley.
I love Phil Manzanera....have been listening to him since the mid 80s. Great guitar player - a legend.
Good to see him with Simon Phillips again, as in 801.
Phil Manzenera has the ability to be a one man Wall of Sound.
STUNNING STUNNING
You don't get too many guitarists, who place melody ahead of wankery !.. Phil is definitely one !.. Power to him ....
Congratulations Phil - Rock n Roll Hall of Fame inductee!
He has a way of attacking his notes that makes him so unique!!!
This is amazing...I saw Phil Manzanera back in 2001 with Roxy Music, he was incredible, intense and full of energy. Hope to see him again someday.

Phil is my new Hero
What a superb guitarist he is!joe sateiani makes his place in rock at this event too!
Have to agree. One of the greatest under rated albums ever.
Too cool! Viva la Paso Doble! Bravo Don Manzanera, Bravo!
grande grande grande Phil....
go Phil, and dancing ladies too !!
Wish there were other close shots of PM besides in the final seconds, but I'll take it...finally seeing what I've been hearing for years. Thanks for posting!

Nice!
There was flamenco guitar legend Vicente Amigo at fist!!!
LAGRIMA !
Lucky you!
bieeen, con vicente amigo ;)
Well... some call Manzanera "just a lucky roadie!" Are there more guitar wizard roadies out there who're this amazing???
801 was his best album with Brian Eno.
5 seconds of Phil((((((((((((((
Lagrima, La Frontera, that was nice. Simon Philips should get more spotlight, the production was a little disappointing.
Very cool. Might have been nice to have the camera on him for more than 10 seconds but whatever.
I have followed PM career since he started in RM I would like to see him play without any treatments to the guitar. Gary Moore, David Gilmore he is not.
Oooh a bit of Mainstream Quiet sun on start up
la percusión es con un instrumento llamado cajón y es 100% peruano....
So, did he?
@Koureas the only waste of space here is your comment ;-)
video is not combination of rock-flamenco guitar style.
@Koureas ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.......................

Ooh, whale noises!
Vicente should have stayed on, this had nothing to do with flamenco
Nobody makes Gary Moore sound like a beginner...
TheOldFlyguy That's so true: Gary Moore basically owns everyone, doesn't he.?
The music is bland, wallpaper rock, and the dancing is lifeless, preconscious and a waste of space.
