10:58 mark...thank you so much. I disassembled my brushless Makita drill in hopes to find an issue. When I tried putting everything back together, I was successful...except those two pins! I had no idea what they were for. I noticed that when I put my drill back together, the chuck would just spin and spin in either direction. After seeing your video and putting the pins back in at a similar place, it worked as expected. My model number is XPH12.
Thank you...I missed out the two pins and had to dismantle and re-assemble the whole gearbox on a DHP458 once I saw this. Also important to note that the yoke that goes round the armature only fits one way - there is a notch in the metal that locates to a 'pip' on the plastic case which explains why I couldn't get the damn case halves to close up for hours! Thanks again for your videos.
Oh my god I can't believe I only missed the locking bit on the first dis- and reassembly of the gearbox. No wonder it didn't want to stay in place. Thank you so much for pointing each out the pieces roles!
Thanks, was very helpful, dropped the open gear assembly on the floor, with all the gears and bits flying, got it back together thanks to this video :D
I know how all the pieces fit together thanks to the video, but every time I reassemble it, the gears sit too high and I can't get the plate and cap on and it's driving me absolutely bonkers! What am I doing wrong?
i've lost the two pins that block the chuck to insert a drill or a bit (at 11:00), does anyone know the diameter of these (gearbox of a dhp 484) or where one can order them without delivering a whole gearbox;
Absolute godsend your disassembly and reassembly videos, I've watched loads and helped massively. Thank you. Do you know if I can get the tiny black pins inside the gear assembly in the UK please? I forgot about them earlier and lost one from inside a DHP482. Thanks in advance
Litterally saved me from looooaaads of fault finding on those two small pins! Thank you!

Thank you! Your the only one after 20 videos that showed me where those 2 flat pins come from!

Thank you, good notice about yoke unit. Now your tool works fine?

Добрый день. Может быть у Вас имеется опыт замены плавающего подшипника на оси ударной дрели-шуруповёрта Makita 8270d? Как правильно его снять?

Thank you, I am not sure if you can get them in UK, but I think if you have one you can go to ball bearings shop and they will find something similar
