y'all, i know i cut off the last part when hank started blasting the song in the car. the point of the final scene was to show how quickly he can change from all this humor to serious, so i kept the last scene strictly serious. i've gotten tons of comments addressing it, so i thought i would just say i'm aware and i'm sorry to everyone who is upset over that, lol! thanks to everyone for watching xx
I agree with your choice. Although in the show it’s a hilarious moment but I truly appreciate the scope of this man’s acting talent. I believed every word he said in that last scene.

I can see that, but the song is written in specifically to demonstrates that duality. Hank is so intimidating in this scene you almost don't even fully register the comedy of it when the starts playing. To be fair, this is just a YT clip comp, but I was looking forward to the song as it caps off that scene perfectly.

What an awesome guy. Diagnosed with alopecia at 13; then getting slated to be killed off in 1st episode of the 1st season, to becoming the star of the show. Dude's a BEAST!
I worked with a guy that looked exactly like him. He also had alopecia, but he was diagnosed with it at 17. The guy I worked with got alopecia as a side effect of his adderal prescription. He was diagnosed with ADHD as a kid and had been taking adderall for like a decade before he got alopecia.
I knew someone like this when I was a young kid. He was like 11 with no hair. Never thought it was weird because I grew up seeing him.
Bill loved what he did with the character so much. That’s talent. How could to meet a guy like Anthony and not immediately love him?
I feel bad cause you know how picky agents can be so with such a unique look it can be hard to get roles. But he’s finally getting the recognition he deserves

Fun fact, Bill actually admitted that he had to retake many many scenes of the show due to breaking character and laughing hysterically whenever Hank/Anthony was on screen. He openly stated it was hard to work with him because he was so Funny. His Improve was top notch, which is why they decided against killing him off and kept him on the show till this very day
To be fair, going off his SNL days breaking character by laughing isn't uncommon for Bill.

I love when Barry is set up to kill Paco and he's yelling at Hank and calls him a bald fuck and Hank is just like "you don't mean that!!" Like he and Barry are besties
He just tries to make being an international drug lord fun! He is in an job, where you only advance if you kill the guy above you, which means as being the top dog everybody is gunning for him, but he can still be silly. I think there is an actual medical condition where you area unable to fear. Like just chill as ice, in the most tense situations.

That's from John Mulaney! I think Bill talks about this in an interview. During Stefon skit on SNL, John character whispered something to Bill that made him laugh. It's that exact sentence.

I'm so glad that Bill Hader and Alec Berg decided to keep Hank/Anthony around, the show just wouldn't be the same without him.
(If you didn't know, originally, Hank was actually killed off in the first episode. But then Anthony came along and Bill and Alec decided that he was just too funny to kill off in the first episode. The best decision they could ever make, in my opinion.)

Reminds me of Jesse Pinkman in Breaking Bad, where a similar situation happened. Planned to be killed but the actor worked so well that they let the character live.

But they fucked up - the very last part of the scene has some super flamboyant music playing as he’s driving away.
I just want a show where Anthony is the main guy, not a supporting actor but the main character. He’s so talented, he can do serious, he can do funny, emotional, you name it and I just want a show focused on him.
Give it a couple years.

Sparrow wasn't the main character in the first movie which made the character work perfectly but after switching the focus on him in the next movies the humor wasnt as good anymore

Hes honestly the best not only for his comedic effect or sparkly personality but also cause he can switch real quick if someone really does him dirty and become a scary guy
