Finally....after watching like 1000 videos trying to find out how to add another switch to an existing switch with one source....this is the perfect demonstration..thank you..rename this 2 switches from one power source..you will get a million hits..this was great and I feel relieved to have found it
Hi David, I been traveling the world a lot... I am finally ready to settle and bought a house. One of the first houses I bought, I finished the basement on mostly on my own (minus the Mudders.. I am not a good mudder)...But thanks for this video as I have again bought a house with a room that has 2 lights in it... I want to control both lights as it is my theater room. Your video helped me out tremendously! 20 Years ago when I finished that basement off was a long time, glad for peeps like you out there refreshing our memory!
David, it looks like you connected all the neutral (white) wires with a single wire nut. So, that was the neutral coming from the breaker box and 2 neutrals coming from each light. Can confirm that is what you did? I couldn't quite make it out during the video but i wanted to confirm. Thanks for the demo too. Very helpful.
Instead of switching the wires, you could have just moved the switch to the other side and marked the wires accordingly. The hots and grounds serve the same function regardless of which switch they're on. As long as nothing touches bare wire, you should be good.

I'm not even a good electrician but I've been told I stuff a box like a champ.
Very helpful video. You actually showed the step by step process for those looking for that. Great help, thank you!!

Thank you for this. Helped me wire a multi function bathroom fan and some lights.
this is exactly what i have to do, you described it wonderfully, thanks a million.
I'm doing my first wiring for back porch, thanks for the video, only needed more classification of the bare Cooper and how you pig tailed them
Helpful - many thanks!
excellent video..
Great video David - keep at it!
Always ground first, neutral and then finally connect you line and load wire lastly. Cut your wires short. Leave a little extra for later servicing.
great video. Thanks a bunch. Keep up the good work.
dude, lighting, please. If I can't see the wires, what good is this video

The narrative was helpful, but could you have shined more light and done more closeups? I couldn't see much! But thanks

Ok I Did It. Is There Supposed to be this Much Smoke Coming From the Box Though?
did you ground your bare copper wire to the metal box?
How bout if you have four switches in same garage with all different sets up lights? Do you splice all four blacks to the one feed to the panel ?
Can you convert this setup to a single pole dual switch?
