I asked that AI bot ChatGPT to write a story about Marbs: "Write a story about a famous RUclipsr Marbozir, who plays many strategy games on his channel. He meets Sid Meier, creator of the Civilization series of games, at a bar, and scolds him for not enough engagement with the sixth installment of the game" Here's what the bot wrote: Marbozir sat at the bar, sipping on his drink as he scrolled through the comments on his latest RUclips video. As a famous RUclipsr known for his strategy game play, Marbozir had built up a large and dedicated following, but with great fame came great responsibility. As he read through the comments, he noticed a familiar name pop up: Sid Meier, the legendary game designer and creator of the Civilization series. Marbozir's eyes lit up at the mention of his idol, and he quickly clicked on the comment to read more. To Marbozir's surprise, the comment was not a compliment or a question about the video. Instead, it was a criticism of the latest installment in the Civilization series, with Sid Meier expressing disappointment at the lack of engagement and depth in the game. Marbozir's initial excitement turned to anger as he read the comment. How could Sid Meier, the man who had inspired him to get into strategy gaming in the first place, say such things about one of his own games? Marbozir knew that the latest Civilization game had its flaws, but he had always been a fan of the series and was willing to overlook them. Just as Marbozir was about to fire off a response to the comment, he heard a voice behind him. "Marbozir, right?" the voice said. Marbozir turned to see a man standing behind him, a friendly smile on his face. It was none other than Sid Meier himself. Marbozir's heart raced as he realized he was face to face with his idol. He quickly composed himself and stood up to shake Sid Meier's hand. "It's an honor to meet you, sir," Marbozir said, trying to keep his excitement in check. "The pleasure is mine," Sid Meier replied. "I'm a fan of your videos. You have a great way of explaining strategy games." Marbozir couldn't believe it. His idol was a fan of his work. He felt a surge of pride wash over him. But as he looked into Sid Meier's eyes, he saw something that made his heart sink. There was a sadness there, a disappointment that Marbozir knew all too well. "I saw your comment on my latest video," Marbozir said, trying to broach the subject delicately. "I understand if you have criticisms of the latest Civilization game. I know it's not perfect. But I just want you to know that I'm still a huge fan of your work, and I'm grateful for everything you've done for the gaming community." Sid Meier's face softened at Marbozir's words. "Thank you, Marbozir," he said. "It's always tough to hear criticism, especially when it's about something you've put so much time and effort into. But I appreciate your support. The truth is, I'm not as involved in the development of the Civilization games as I used to be. It's hard to watch from the sidelines as the series evolves in a direction I didn't envision." Marbozir nodded, understanding the frustration that Sid Meier must be feeling. "I know it's not easy to let go," Marbozir said. "But I believe in you and your ability to create amazing games. Maybe it's time for you to take the reins again and bring the Civilization series back to its roots." Sid Meier chuckled at Marbozir's words. "You may be right," he said. "I'll have to think about it." :D
So from what I can tell, the new leader pack is "take existing Civ rules (mostly the TALL ones like Maya) and strip away all their weaknesses and apply them to a different civ that makes them synergistically OP". On some level I should be annoyed, but my brain just goes "hahaha yield dots get bigger go brrrrr"
I love this. I wasn't expecting another Civ game so soon, but I like how it happened. You should use this method more often in the future. Just re-roll starts offline with different settings and when you come across something interesting just start a new series and see where it takes you. :)
Good health to you Marbz take care of yourself ❤ this does seem a fun game indeed and as a religion I say call it Bearable 🐻 or something like it as we all like bears don’t we!
Just a heads up: 25:42 if you pay attention, to the north of Nagoya, just outside its range, between the Pearls (west) and the Crab (East), there's a valid location for a Panama Canal! When was the last time you had that Wonder in your games?
I feel like desert folklore could potentially have led to around 4 holy sites with very high or at least pretty good adjacency, which is about as good as you can usually hope for. I think that there was a bit of desert up north as well.
My Tokugawa game started between Mount Roraima and another Mountain Wonder. I curb stomped the Ancient Era. I wonder what would you do with this start, eh Marbs? Also, hey algorithm.
Hey heads up for later. I haven't tested it yet... but you know that end game government that gives you +3 power and 30% bonus to city projects? Would that work with building nukes? I think it would. Just thought you'd want to know. (hope you feel better marbz)
the worst thing is that i am a achievement bitch and they didnt add achievements for new leaders so i would like to try them but i don't want to lose time when i can in the same time play old leader and get an achievement... eh....
People in Tokyo : "The volcano blew in our faces ! THERE IS NO GOD !!" Marbs : Wut Edit : religion name, heh ? ...... "Volcanism" seems appropriate. Or MountFujism.
Marbozir, you do not have to edit the videos to cutout anything. I like to watch it all. Did you have comments that asked that? It's so much work for you.

For the religion, since you are playing Japan, you can't really go wrong with Shintoism.
Feel better dude!
Hope you're feeling alright! Thank you for sharing :)
No need to rush now that the World Cup and Advent are both over, take your time with any subsequent releases.
I hope you're feeling better Marbs

Perhaps "Godzilla," for the religion name. "Godzilla has spread to Dehli," if Gandhi is in the game would be a great prelude to the traditional nuke.
Nice! a new civ series with Japan!

volcanic eruption, sounds like a normal day in Japan
2:49 "I don't think barbarians will be much of a problem." After seeing into the future with the next video thumbnail - LOL

Just north of Tokyo theres room for a canal city.
Tokugawa seems really interesting with that trade route bonus. Looking forward to more of this one :)
New gameplays are the best lol
Suggested religion name: "95% misses"
I feel like desert folklore could potentially have led to around 4 holy sites with very high or at least pretty good adjacency, which is about as good as you can usually hope for. I think that there was a bit of desert up north as well.
Toku is back! Very nice
Playing as Japan and Mt Fuji is just to the southwest. Quite appropriate. Looks like another fun outing.
Getting trade based faction Maroko as your first a neighbor while playing isolationist Japan lol
Formal war on the YT algorithm in 10 turns
Name the religion "anime" for the memes
Bradford sounds good. Or "Surely no miss" (as I believe the full sentence is too long for Civ6 religions)
Well as you don't want to trade with anybody, "Go Away" seems appropriate.
Civ and Japan, will we get another Nailbiter towards the end ?
My naming proposal for your religion is "Canon" as it ticks many boxes .
Any know when this leaders will come to swicht too?
interesting start indeed
My Tokugawa game started between Mount Roraima and another Mountain Wonder. I curb stomped the Ancient Era.

Just thought you'd want to know.
(hope you feel better marbz)
Denouncing the algo!
Your 2nd city has pearls in range, so you don't actually lose out.
Nice
Religion name: Overwatch Party.
As we all know, it's the best kind of party :)
there's 2 camps left for u to take, to the south of your main city...
Sushiism, because of your fishing boat pantheon
Hope you are doing well
Was hoping you would do a Tokugawa Playthrough!
Religion Name.. How about "Ramon", I don't know??
I'm terrible at picking names for these things! LOL
you're the best
It's Japan. Gotta go with the Anime meme and spread the word of Anime throughout the world.
the worst thing is that i am a achievement bitch and they didnt add achievements for new leaders so i would like to try them but i don't want to lose time when i can in the same time play old leader and get an achievement... eh....
Anyone else see the warrior of an undiscovered civ appear on screen? 25:42
Not a warrior, a Slinger!
People in Tokyo : "The volcano blew in our faces ! THERE IS NO GOD !!"
Marbs : Wut
Edit : religion name, heh ? ...... "Volcanism" seems appropriate. Or MountFujism.
Tokugawa is designed to be isolationist anyway.
Religion name: Bushido.
Marbozir, you do not have to edit the videos to cutout anything. I like to watch it all. Did you have comments that asked that? It's so much work for you.
For the religion name, how about Anime?
natural disasters are so annoying. I missed out on Ruhr Valley because of a flood. :*(
my suggestion for religion's name: Central or Bradford
Religion: not need to get fancy, just use Shinto. If you don't want to be conventional, then how about Sumoism after Japan's national sport?
There's something about Shinto Japan that just screams perfection.
Shinto for religion.
Religion name: Plese don't blow up (again)
I think Shinto would be the most appropriate, but you could be more creative and call it "Bakufu" which is synonymous with the Shogunate of Japan.
Religion name might be Isolam
You should name the religion Anime.
Religion name: The Algorithm
I think he has done that before.
bump
How about calling the religion 'Isolationism' and then going for a religious victory so you have to spread isolationism as far as possible
Wth I'm from Brunei! 😃
lol I name my religion "The Woke Left" every time and it always makes me lol
keep your politics to yourself, ain't nobody here for that
@Anthony P you are so sensitive holy shit
Really wish firaxis didn't insist on translating these new leaders base game amenities boost into...loyalty in the full game, wasted.
