Thanks for watching. I'm a little disappointed with this run to be honest, given I prepared a lot for it and basically set this run on a bad path within the first 30 seconds with a basically unconscionable death (like, I didn't even know what to do.) Losing the Tenshouzan is really bad and it's the #1 thing I didn't want to do for this run. I really wanted to give this a clean run and it just didn't happen. Anyways, there are some good parts to this run, but if anyone wants a cleaner GDQ run, watch Kuribon's SGDQ 2014 run.
+clear tonic don't worry about it man, I love what you did... considering I can't do squat when I play this... and like, thanks for showing that neat trick with the Chain Rod... I hope they kept that in the English version of Zero 2 then... it's still a great run nonetheless.
you still do more then me , i barely won all 4 megaman zero games using an emulator on my tablet. and hey you didn't go over estimate so it's cool :D P.S. couldn't you reset the run ? i don't know how GDQ runs work but i think you could have reset with the timer still running if you thought you would be faster with the tenshouzan. I don't see why they wouldn't let you do it :/
Still, thanks for spreading the word for this game just by making a speedrun of it on GDQ. The Mega Man Zero series deserves should always deserves more love. ^^
Toxic, don't be so hard on yourself brother. You have a skill that 99% of us fellow gamers simply don't possess. Even with the deaths, you still manage to absolutely destroy Zero 2. Your skill combined with how well spoken and concise you are with your commentary is just plain awesome. Keep it up man.
I actually really liked Elpizo's fruity self. Spoiler Side note: did you know that Elpizo was the only villain in the Mega Man series to feel true remorse after all was said and done?
XxN1TR0FUS1ONS Mega Man and More Ballade, General, and Doppler too(though the last two were due to manipulation). There are probably more, since there is generally more than the last boss as a villain.
Phoenix Magnion is very scary if he goes into what I call Berserk Mode. When the fire pillars come up he usually waits, but when he is berserk he attacks just nonstop and if he does his A rank attack, good luck. Especially on Hard Mode.
Does anyone know if you can ever skip cut-scenes in this game or the other games in the series? ...maybe after beating the game? ...maybe as an option in the Nintendo DS compilation?
The rules for MMZ runs require starting from a new game. If it was possible to skip cut-scenes after beating the game, then it would be convenient for practicing. I'm asking for the sake of practicing, not actual runs :)
Zero 1 is the least fundamentally developed and streamlined so its difficulty is due to the game's nature. Objectively, Zero 2 is a lot harder due to tight enemy and hazard placement (especially the bomb stage where wind can push you away from a wall and drop to death from a wall jump).
I'd love to see a 100% run on ANY of the Zero gba games!!!!! All four games are great, except for number four.........it's slightly less amazing than the rest.
faster than i could do it.... buuut not by much overall a pretty bad run, no offense to clear tonic, i understand its a marathon setting and also bad runs happen, sometimes you just cant focus and this kinda thing goes down, i hope you have had some better runs since!

What death? The timer just started 40 seconds early. :P
Aw man, don't beat yourself up over it! It's still a very fun watch!
Ah, just wondering, is shield cancelling no longer viable here?

his name is tonic and not toxic
It's refreshing to see players who actually know the lore. Interesting stuff!
Very good for a marathon run. Tonic stuck with it no matter what tripped him up. Props to you, clear tonic!
Run starts at 11:17
8:40 Begin the count down.
Also; Elpizo you fruit.
that rainbow devil...
I actually really liked Elpizo's fruity self.
Spoiler Side note: did you know that Elpizo was the only villain in the Mega Man series to feel true remorse after all was said and done?
Lucky Ducky what about Lady Vega?
XxN1TR0FUS1ONS Mega Man and More Ballade, General, and Doppler too(though the last two were due to manipulation). There are probably more, since there is generally more than the last boss as a villain.
Black Pants
You also forgot to mention Sunstar.
MMZ1-4 are the Metroid Fusion to Megaman X.
video was spliced.
new start time is at 8:41
Weird fun fact: The polar bear boss is a female. It's mentioned by the runners, but it's glossed over.
wow
those chain rod clips are beautiful
11:17
9:11 nice
26:27 I'm glad I'm not the only one with the chain rod not pulling inconveniently.
The guardian who’s whole thing is flying, in the sky, where it is cold, is weak to ice? Okay capcom
This was the hardest franchise of my childhood...
am i the only one that was clapping along with the crowd? If not a couple more times when he clutched some awesome obstacles
watching and wonder how the hell did we got thought all this Megaman zero sadistic stages
Hung Nguyen Khac yeah I was watching this and thought the same thing XD Got through all 4 games too
Frogs eat caterpie?

after beating the game. always been that way thankfully.
Cool, thanks :D
ace attorney thumbnail?
Yeah, that was confusing me too. Are they playing as Phoenix somehow? This IS Capcom, but still...
BlazeGamma Wright objects to his games not appearing at any gdqs
Lol that's the villain of this game...
Cool, except the thumbnail was changed, likely when they cropped the video times.
what is R&G?
Random Number Generation.
When will someone do MMZ4?
I would if my emulator didn't lag.
awesome run
is he playing through an Emulator?
I think they're using the Game Boy Player to play GBA games on GameCube
Would wager to say a Game Boy Player on a Gamecube but can't tell.
GDQ doesn't typically allow emulators, to my understanding.
Galaxia Shadow Looks like a Gameboy player using a homebrew program that interprets GBA stuff more accurately (less input lag, brighter visuals)
AHAH! THEY ARE NOT TRUE ZERO FANS!
After all, if they were, they'd know Poler Kamrous is, in fact, female.
Oh except the middle guy.
I've been playing this game since around 2009 and I didn't know that.
Is it true Cubit Foxtar is male?
Watch the refight, Tonic himself states that Poler is female.
this tbh
It starts at 11:00
is this the hardest zero game ?
Levi Hackerman in my non-professional opinion, the Zero games get easier as they go on. So Zero 1 is the toughest.
Zero 1 is the least fundamentally developed and streamlined so its difficulty is due to the game's nature. Objectively, Zero 2 is a lot harder due to tight enemy and hazard placement (especially the bomb stage where wind can push you away from a wall and drop to death from a wall jump).

zero 2 was the best because of all the armors. 3 was my favorite because of the story
Rosalina on thumbnail.
starts 11:18
reze murdered it
osaka!
why is in japanese?
The text goes by quicker in the japanese version of the game.
1:11:52 WTF??? 😂😂😂
I never understood if Zero is male or female... 🤔
He's a male
#so
?
Elipzo(Elpiszo Like saying Elcispe zo)
faster than i could do it.... buuut not by much overall a pretty bad run, no offense to clear tonic, i understand its a marathon setting and also bad runs happen, sometimes you just cant focus and this kinda thing goes down, i hope you have had some better runs since!
embarrasing run, wtf. this should have less than 50,000 views
pathetic
Seh, ha muerto en momentos muy estúpidos. Aún así, el mismo comento cómo le pareció bastante mala y que Kuribon hizo una run mejor que el.
