As far as aged action series go, what are the thoughts on Mission Impossible? I feel those may have gone from more believable with the first couple to less so with later ones.
My wife hated the saxophone music in the Lethal Weapon series, but she came to really enjoy the movies themselves. I do agree you have to suspend belief to enjoy parts of the series, but I still like them. I agree with Jen the first two Mad Max movies were not good, but i really enjoyed Thunderdome.
@@MarkLewispodcast that much saxophone is another thing which needs to just be accepted as "part of that time" and would not past muster with movies of today. And as far as things which changed with the times, I remember watching the Lethal Weapon movies on TV as a kid, and there is a part where Riggs yells at Murtaugh "are you out of your f****** mind," but TNT changed it to "are you out of your cotton picking mind!" Ironically, my wife and I are now re-watching the Bourne series, and finished Supremecy last night! It really did help change the genre.
I don’t think I would be able to get my wife to sit down and listen to the action movies I liked or disliked, including some war and western movies! She would have cooked my goose for dinner🤣Lucky you!!

Not sure why but I’ve never really got into them. I like Cruise, the films just do nothing for me.
Die Hard 2 is easily as classic of a Christmas staple as the story of Jesus’ birth.
Excellent conversation.
