Yeah I once tried out a peaceful Germany in a no rules multiplayer game back when Man The Guns came out. It ended with me, Italy, France, Poland, Britain, Spain being kicked and the host ending the game early from his blood pressure spiking.

It says you need 40,000 infantry equipment IN the army not in stockpile, which means you can still spam out units. If you have the equipment
It's not exactly same spam as before, since you actually need some gear for your units now, before unit spam was that you did it soviet style and throw unit out where every 200 guys out of 1000 man unit had a gun (logic wise). Just to fill the manpower requirement asap.
Yeah but you now have to equip them, before it was based on manpower in field, meaning that you could switch your entire army to motorised from the start, let them fill up, and get anschluss in like 1937
You can just produce 40,000 guns then switch your entire army to motorized so that you get the manpower requirements and the equipment requirements

@@highgrounder5238 i genuinely don't understand why you want to do anschluss earlier? The later you do (realistically and logically), the better it gets. Austria gets to develop thru focus tree and produces free equipment for you. Otherwise you just get a chunk of land with not much use, as you have to build it yourself.
Honestly volunteer only Germany is something I play pretty regularly. I just like to focus on making a few good divisions and not worrying about the big picture
If you want a challenge, look up Germany's current standing professional army, and only have that number of mobilized troops. I'd advise having a research tree up to 1990 and "research on icon click" active for actual fun though

As fun as Hearts of Iron 4 is, there is an appeal to CKII and III. In HoI, peace is only used as a means to prepare for war and war is only used to gain territory. In CKII, wars can be used to advance your own territories, but also a relative's. During peacetime, you're always doing things besides preparing for war like family management or plotting.
Wow. I can not believe game is that old. I enjoyed playing HoI2 and HoI3. But somehow I never enjoyed playing HoI4. The irony is I have been watching ISP for years anyway.

I actually tried this tactic in my playthrough so you make danzig for slovakia focus and poland accepts then you make molotov ribbentrop and soviets just attack poland then give you the west poland and while its happening you can attack hungary or puppet them (ı prefer attack because ı don't have puppet management dlc) and dominate europe very very easy
Watched this whilst polishing my WW1 Polish Army (German Army) officers boots, don't know why I'm posting this but I think that you should definitely do more of the old challenges. Keep going buddy 👍
Bulgaria is probably the easiest pacifist nation. Stay non-aligned, join axis, use pp to take over conqured land. Leave once you have everything you want, and the allies will tend to ask you to join them. Repeat for more land.

Remember "Hearts of Darkness Victoria two"? Lol I was watching the old Vicky two episodes and I caint believe that video where you played Russia for us was Half a decade ago. That first minute is so based starting with the start up music being crazy loud and being suprised from the swiss being a gret power and when you said you're playing as Russia and you threw the soviet theme and you're like whoa whoa whoa, not yet because it was 1836 lol. I remember being a teen seeing that notif come on my phone and sitting in my bunk falling asleep to your vids like every night being so excited for your stuff to come out and the laughs. What I think got me into your stuff was this ability of yours to take somthing depressing, and although that idea or thought was still depressing. The way you would talk, or protray your thoughts always made me feel better because making fun of things at least the way you used to do helped me and maybe many others cope with life. I still feel the depressed passion from the depths of hel- your heart. And i know the content gets dry somtimes but i think it would be actually decent if you went back a few years where most people wont remember and reuse bits of your older content (wich was gold btw). Maybe bring a Vicky two game around one of these days for the really old Timmy's who have been timmying the gravies since more than half a decade ago.
I guess in the end we're all getting old together.

Reminds me of a run of my soviet run where for some reason UK attacked Iraq and Iran in 1945 so i sent a bit of volunteers there. The war lasted until 1953 and ended only when i prepared a socialist revolution in France and used another bunch of volunteers to invade Britain(The USA was allied with Liberia and Ethiopia for some reason) and it resulted in around 10 million losses for allies and i forgor how many from my side.

can you do one of those challenges like "tanks only/planes only/subs only?" Those were my FAVORITE videos when I was younger, and I know artillery only was kind of a meme, (and fucking hell to play in) so you don't have to remake that one, but I think those other ones would be cool to redo especially since they've each gotten reworks.
A more "normal" way of doing a no offensive war Germany is the anti Soviet pact and Danzig for Slovakia.
HOI4 the only 7 year old that knows THAT much about hitler. Usually they wait until they're male and 14.
