I've been collecting comics forever and I can truly say that the spec market has destroyed the industry. I just collect what I like. Always have. People are crazy on fomo.
These channels aren't helping much either because too many people think they are experts, it is CGC bias despite their poor track record and other grading companies.

I think everyone needs to take a chill pill! if you're a "true collector", then you know this channel is strictly for info on the "HOT RIGHT NOW", "Flash in the pan" and "movie hype" comics! Which is totally fine and enjoyable to watch... why else would we all be here??? Tom is a pretty well informed and a camera friendly guy who keeps in pushin'! His banter with GAGuru, FireGuyRyan and Jeff keeps it entertaining. I have been collecting and selling comics since the early 80's. I know my stuff! however, I find I ALWAYS learn a little something new when watching the videos. I am not a new comic buyer, but like to stay on top of what's hot and trending... Guess what? THIS IS THE PLACE for that!!! so, we all know there is a lot of hype around these parts, if not into that sort of thing, it is simple... MOVE ON! Thank you Tom and Crew. I would bet on Denzel playing Achebe. The villain from the 90s Christopher Priest run, that also gave us Okoye, Nakia, Everett K Ross, Zuri etc. That run and the 2005 Reginald Hudlin run (which introduced Shuri) are at the core of the MCU Black Panther.

Captain America #230 the cover is amazing! I found 2 of these and paid like $5 apiece for each of them sooo I feel the same way you guys do it's not a long term investment I wouldn't pay more than $5.00 for it.
#1: Captain America #230. What makes this book any different than any other graded book. Sure nothing happens in it but even if something happens in a book once it's graded it won't matter because you can't look through the book. Proving grading is the biggest scam in comic book collecting history. The only benefit of grading is protecting rare comics with great cover art, and the grade isn't even important other than for bragging rights. And the cost should be the same across the board for all books.

There are not that many Black Panther villains to use, but you should have some suggestions rather than just "dollar bin book"

What If ? Was always a quirky, offbeat title that ppl enjoyed. It was also a chance to get another look at THE WATCHER -who was, in the early years, a somewhat mysterious figure in the Marvel Universe. What If ? Spidey's Clone had Lived ? and What If The Sub Mariner Had Saved Atlantis From Its Destiny ? Are two of my favorites. Looking for a Black Panther baddie who is obscure but cool ? Lets see THE SOUL STRANGLER !! LOL Im sure it wont happen though. Too much KKK ..
Star Wars needs to stop being woke take a 10 - 20 year break. Rewrite the story and have a new direction staying in continuity with a cohesive storyline. Only way to fix the franchise. Disney figured out how to kill a franchise. Now they need to figure out how to save one.
The Spec market is definitely killing collecting. Ive collected for over 40 years but i got out over the spec and these variant art covers. People care more about a stupid spec over the story. Plus Tom kept going on and on about Dazzler in the Deadpool movie. People bought all the Dazxler early stuff and wasted their money. How much did Tom make off the Spec? So i have quit collecting. Its no longer fun. Its just a money grab for people like Tom.
