Don’t be disheartened Doctor. You’re doing what you can and you’re helping so many people. I prepared for my daughter and I before we had any cases in Texas because of you. And I was able to convince a lot of other people to start social distancing early and prepare as well. I’m sure thousands would say the same.

Tell them to step back ffs! They clamp on the scale & belt like someone's gonna steal their stuff- cough in the cashier's face & expect no reaction.
They could easily have people order online & drive thru for pickup. They could handle the demand if they closed the doors & converted all cashiers & sales floor people to orderpickers. It would so easily limit all interpersonal opportunities for germ spread. But, no chance of sacrificing a single dollar.

@Dibs Hello from Italy. I’ve watched a few videos from Dr Campbell as of now, and as far as I can tell his main suggestions are: there is not going to be any specific cure/vaccine any time soon for Covid-19. His best advice as far as I can tell, is social distancing and self isolation, and of course hands hygiene. My country is in total lockdown from almost 2 weeks right now, but we still don’t see any significant change in the spreading of the virus. That is the main problem, the high contagious rate that this virus has. Because from the experience we are having in Italy, is not much the virus per se that is killing people, but the quick saturation of intensive care units in hospitals. The numbers are more or less this: around 20% of infected requires hospitalization, and around 10% requires intensive care unit. Mind you: for that 10%, an intensive care unit is literally the difference between life and death. So we are back at the beginning: the best you can do right now is social distancing to avoid to get the virus. Stay safe and strong 💪, we are living unbelievable times.

Herd immunity will work, but you need to infect about 95% of population.. that would cost hundred of millions of lives. Without vaccine, we can get to that level only slowly (year or two) without loosing so many lives.

    • @walhalladome5227
      @walhalladome5227 4 года назад

@@gilian2554 I appreciate your comments but beg to differ. Did hurd immunity work with polio, meazles, etc. We can't afford the number of deaths. Also, why do you think vaccination usually needs boosters? It is not the case that one is immune for always once you had it. In fact multiple cases emerge of double infections. Younger people are also affected and there are likely long lasting effects once had it.
Really what needs to be done is flatten the curve as much as possible and hope that a viable medicine is soon available. Several trials are currently running.
Lastly Italy has now overtaken China in numbers. China the lock down worked, Italy isn't even in its way to taming this monster.

I know there are medicine trials done with Remdesivir and Chloroquinine. From the latter I know it easily available in larger quantities. I am kind of hoping any of the trials would heal lets say 50% to 70% of patients, that would be a real plus. But for that chance we need as flat as possible curve. That's all I like to emphisize.
I think we both agree this is perhaps the most critical times in our lives.
Lastly, now you can understand the Spanish flue, worldwide 30 milion death on a 3.5 bilion population. My grandpa survived it, but became bald for life.

I was appalled by the lack of staple goods in the supermarket today, here in the UK. No toilet paper, no pasta, no pasta sauce, no baked beans, hardly any rice, no nappies, no baby wipes, no anti bacterial wipes, no hand soap, no hand sanitizer, no baby formula.
The sweets aisle was cleared of all chocolate yet there was plenty of fresh fruit, vegetables, seeds, nuts, dates, which are alot healthier.
Do some people think sugar and panic buying toilet roll and the likes is going to save them??
That poor nurse literally crying on the news begging people to stop panic buying when she couldn't buy staples at the supermarket after her 24 hour shift in the intensive care unit.
Supermarkets need to up their game and monitor what customers are piling into their trollies. It's disgusting to watch grown adults fighting over food and toilet rolls. The ariticle immediately got my attention and I had a hunch that this was the beginning of something really bad, I studied pharmacology for a semester and part of my course included a study on pathogens, bacteria, viruses and microbiology. I became close to the Professor and had lunch with him. We both were facinated and intrigued at the time because we both had a notion that smeday a virus would emerge that would cause a pandemic.. Looking back we even went to see a movie called the 12 Monkey staring Bruce Willis n Brad Pitt a science fiction movie about a virus that wipes out most of civilization. Today, Here I am i southern CA and my governor, mayor has now imposed a lockdown sort of speak, Not much enforcement either since there is No police mandate on this. I also was following a Irish chap here on youtube back I guess about 6 to 7 weeks ago, he taught English in Wuhan and showed the city on lockdown and how serious the Chinese were about this virus, also watched another guy univerity student from Nepal do videos while in quarntine in Wuhan, both are back in their countries and out of quarntine. Both have Telling STORIES. Anyways I tried to Warn people I was in contact back then about the emerging Pandemic which included my fellow Church members, friends, family, and my aquaintances at my gym. Needless to say I was ridiculed and mocked. No one took me serious. Things today have turned for the worst in my country. Not very many people took this Serious including my government both on a State and Federal level. Kids in college were getting drunk on spring break IGNoring the need to self isolate. Most said......Awe it's JUST the FLU,. My heart is full of sadness and grief, we had plenty of WARNING AND there were plenty of News to see it unfold in China, South Korea, Japan, the Diamond Princess cruise ship etc.. , The SAD Truth is that it did not have to BE this way., thee was Valuable Time wasted. Preventive measures could have been implemented. No Testing until recently and there is still people out there who think that its just a bad cold or flu. PLEASE PRAY FOR US and REST OF THE COUNTRIES BEING IMPACTED. We are All in this ToGether. GOD BLESS US ALL! Grant us more Wisdom and Truth. We are are ALL Brothers and Sisters in this dying world.

@@drutter What is wrong with you? You’re still praising china? They not only caused this virus, they wanted it to hurt the rest of the world and they helped it do that!
On January 14, the WHO tweeted that Chinese have confirmed it cannot spread person to person. Yet in late febuary we received an email at work (I work in wuhan) to be careful because there is a new contagious disease in wuhan causing pneumonia!
Furthermore, one reason the USA and other countries aren’t testing is because almost all the supplies needed for tests are made in china and they aren’t exporting. If that isn’t bad enough, a chinese patent troll group, fortress, is suing one of the only companies in the USA capable of making tests for patent violation because they are manufacturing tests!

Now its panic buying and I wont even walk into a store because it is to depressing. I think households should prudently be able to support themselves for a few weeks without government assistance, as it is then a burden on them also. But in fairness to the public, we were being lied to in the media and government statements until just a few days ago. Thank heavens the public health officer has now issued a Shelter in Place order...hoping that will help flatten the curve at least somewhat...but even though I'm high risk, and so are my husband and daughter, I'm not counting on having hospital care available for any of us.

California has a massive homeless population living in tent cities and in their cars. That is why they believe it will run rampant, and they are correct, I was there earlier this week, the homeless are still roaming from trash can to trash can, digging for recyclables to sell and for food. Let's be honest , parents of teens as one myself, we need to take responsibility for our children . Or atleast try. Take keys away, inform them of how selfish their actions are and affect on others and keep them from gathering. There will be a time of celebration if we really get thru this but we need to work together. Whether it is really as bad as some say or isn't we dont know and that's point

Thank you for that, just how I felt and was concerned over. In this serious deadly pandemic I think it takes people to be outspoken and calling out even adults that are oblivious. I had back surgery 4 days ago , I walked in waiting room to check in and I had goggles on and a n95 mask. 12 people were in waiting room with not a single one with mask on. One man looked at me and burst out laughing.
One heavy set man coughed, a double cough and didn't get his arm up over mouth until the 3rd big cough. I was horrified. He coughed right towards the nurse across from him. I spoke up and waved the air away with the clipboard I had in my hand . We must speak up and give these sheeple a jolt!!

      "Italy coronavirus: new explosive information
A very brief update. Read this carefully. Many people who were diagnosed as "coronavirus cases" in Italy, and then died, were almost certainly put on antiviral drugs. As you'll see, below, a significant percentage of these people had prior heart conditions or high blood pressure. But at least one of the antiviral drugs, called ribavirin, carries this VERY RELEVANT warning, from cardiosmart[dot]org: "Ribavirin may decrease the number of red blood cells in your body. This is called anemia and it can be life-threatening in people who have heart disease or circulation problems." High blood pressure is a circulatory problem. Understand? Get it? LIFE-THREATENING. So how many coronavirus patients have been killed by the administering of ribavirin?
And with THAT, let's jump in...because there's more. Much more.
For those people who have any belief in the coronavirus...
Here's the basic situation: the Italian health agencies are reporting escalating COV deaths---big fear-story out front...
But in the background, other Italian government researchers are combing through patient records, to take a much closer look...to see whether people are dying from the virus or other more obvious causes.
Are people dying coincidentally WITH the virus, or BECAUSE OF the virus? Is the virus a mere harmless passenger in the body, or is it the driving force?
The Italian results are astonishing, to understate it by a mile.
Bloomberg News has the story: 3/18, "99 percent of those whose died from virus had other illness, Italy says":
"More than 99% [!] of Italy's coronavirus fatalities were people who suffered from previous medical conditions, according to a study by the country's national health authority."
"The Rome-based institute has examined medical records of about 18% of the country's coronavirus fatalities [so far, because it's slow work], finding that just three victims [!!], or 0.8% of the total, had no previous pathology [disease]. Almost half of the victims suffered from at least three prior illnesses and about a fourth had either one or two previous conditions."
"More than 75% had high blood pressure, about 35% had diabetes and a third suffered from heart disease."
"The average age of those who've died from the virus in Italy is 79.5 [!!!]. As of March 17, 17 people under 50 had died from the disease. All of Italy's victims under 40 have been males with serious existing medical conditions."
      BANG.
Average age of those who've died: 79.5. Are you kidding? Lots of prior medical conditions, weakened immune systems, and what this emerging study isn't saying: all these people had obviously been treated for those prior conditions with toxic medical drugs. Furthermore, once they'd been diagnosed with coronavirus, chances are many of them were put on highly toxic antiviral drugs. Thus delivering the final blow.
Imagining the coronavirus was the CAUSE of death would be a ridiculous fantasy. But these people are counted as "coronavirus deaths" by the other Italian reporting agencies, who are jacking up the numbers.
Does this remind you of any other reports I've been detailing? The elderly people with obvious prior diseases who died in Australia; and the elderly people who were diagnosed as coronavirus cases in the state of Washington---all living in a long-term-care nursing home?
Getting the picture? This death-numbers con---aside from covering up the real causes of death, including MEDICAL---is the forward spear being used to justify locking down and wrecking economies all over the world right now, and that means attacking the people in any way connected to those economies who have to work to make a living.
There are statistical vampires at work, using the elderly and sick and dying to feed numbers to health agencies around the planet. Those agencies tap their press contacts, and horror reports emerge, and the unsuspecting public, in economic lockdowns, sit in front of the tube and watch these reports, and inhale the cooked-up fear.
Turn your mind to the highest setting, because nothing is riding on this whole deal except the immediate future of humanity.
And again, cardiosmart[dot]org: "Ribavirin may decrease the number of red blood cells in your body. This is called anemia and it can be life-threatening in people who have heart disease or circulation problems."

    FEED THE TRUCK DRIVERS
I am the proud wife of a long-haul national truck driver. During our countries current crisis his job as well as all the other men and woman who truck drive, are absolutely essential to the nations survival in this critical moment.
my husband is a team driver meaning two drivers 1 truck. Each driver works 10 hours with 1 30 minute break each meaning the truck is moving 20 hours a day. I see my husband for 4-5 days every 5 weeks making stocking him with food impossible not to mention, I wouldn’t be able to buy THAT much food at once anymore.
Everywhere my husband goes, he is met with closed restaurants, empty grocery stores and gas stations, and fast food stops with closed dining areas. Big rigs can’t go through the drive thru’s. If my husband and all the other truckers out there can’t eat, most won’t have the energy to keep making deliveries, delivering food and medical supplies. The whole system will collapse and we will all die.
To all the fast food companies, please help the truckers. Feed them. Take care of them. Bring food out to them.
This isn’t just my problem. This is your families problem, your friends problem, our doctors problem, and our entire nation’s problem. We must act now.
Below is a link to a petition I’ve created to help alert the fast food companies to the situation at hand. Please sign and share on all platforms.
