      Yeah Derick White is more marketable than Jaylen Brown. I also find it amusing how instead of congratulating his teammates, Jaylen is bitching on twitter. Kawhi Leonard had ZERO business being on that team over Jaylen Brown considering his injury history! Second, you can't have three Celtics on there and leave Brown off when he's better than both Holiday and White. Third, the fact that he was FMVP makes this even more egregious 🤦🏾‍♂️.

    This is why the mainstream media continues to fail its audience. As far as player archetype, Leonard, Brown and White are all considered two way players. What does Derrick White offer that Jaylen Brown does not? I'd argue Jaylen is closer to a Kawhi level player than DW and he has the finals MVP to prove it. So if Kawhi was a fit and Derrick White is a fit, why didn't a single reporter press Grant Hill to explain exactly why Jaylen is NOT a fit? They just let him spew a complete non-answer with no push back. Hell, there is more evidence to support the NIKE conspiracy theory than Hill's "basketball fit" argument. Something isn't so just because Grant Hill said it.
    As for SAS and his sources. He SHOULD reveal his source because his source is a coward who PLANTED a negative narrative about JB in the media. You think this guy doesn't expect someone like SAS to spill some hearsay garbage on a player to compromise their standing in the league while remaining completely anonymous? Anonymity is for whistleblowers, not sleazy insiders who want to slander people with impunity. If you're going to take a shot at someone, put your name on it.

      Derrick White doesn't need the ball in his hands to make an impact and he can make an impact in small role (aka not getting a lot of shots and touches). That's what he brings to the table. Can Brown and Leonard do what White does? Yeah. The problem however is that at this stage of their career you have to get them shots and/or touches in order for them to do those things. Otherwise you would have a similar situation with Ingram at the World Cup last year.

    Brown isn't needed. Should he be mad? Of course but White is legitimately a better fit! Brown isn't the type of player to just play a role. He's the finals MVP and would no doubt come in with his chest out running his mouth! Tell me I'm wrong! That's who he has been his entire career!

    If it motivates him to go ultra terminator mode and take it out on the league next season, I'm all for it. Is he RIGHT that it was anything more than a basketball decsion? No, of course not. Frankly, if I'm Grant Hill, I'm giving him a call and saying, "Hey JB, ixnay on the Nikay--I'm making the calls here."

    Any player that just won the MVP in both the Conf Finals and NBA Championship on a talented team would feel slighted here. He was terrific guarding arguably the most talented and dangerous offensive player of the playoffs. It was he that time after time made the biggest plays for the Celtics when things were tight.
    After last's season's loss in the finals Brown was determined he was not going into this off-season without the Celts winning the NBA Championship.
    And what do you know he somehow accomplished that without wearing Nike' sneakers!

    I’ll never understand why fans want to hate on analysts like SAS for simply relaying what their sources are saying. ITS NOT THEIR THOUGHTS/OPINIONS ITS WHAT SOURCES ARE TELLING THEM. Starting to wonder if some of y’all are slow or just don’t understand the concept of reporting intel via anonymous sources

    • @Ahjusshi_Brown
      @Ahjusshi_Brown Месяц назад +4

      Also hilarious bc the past 1-2 years SAS has been reporting things from his sources (NBA and NFL) and every time he’s met with an initial wave of hate…just to be proved right a few months later (this time was much quicker, regardless of if the “cause” stated by the sources were correct or not, is JB on the team? Alright then). Y’all don’t have to like him but ya better learn to check your biases impact on your ability to be impartial/objective 😂😂

  • @IanSane

    I can see Brown being upset about not being on the Olympic team but the guy who got picked instead is his teammate. So you can be upset but why express that publicly? That's crapping on your teammate because you're saying "I'm a better player than him" to the whole world. How is that not going to potentially cause locker room issues? Your team just won the NBA title and you're risking blowing the chance for a repeat. Stew in private and don't let this all fall on the Celtics. 20 years from now when the documentary about the 2024 Celtics covers their fall from grace this is the sort of thing that could be cited as a the beginning of the end. The Tweet to have sent is a congratulations to White.

    • @stickman1742
      @stickman1742 Месяц назад

      You could say that, but I doubt there's anything to worry about. JB has always expressed his issues with authority publicly and that's why they don't really want him around much afraid of what he might say. The Celtics players know this as well and they all know the setup of the team. They all say that Tatum and Brown are the 2 core players that everything is built around. That's why they are so good, everyone is talented and knows their role. They all know that Brown is being snubbed and wouldn't disagree.
      The positive side is that Brown uses these things to fuel himself to keep getting better. I've been extremely impressed with how he improves every year. That takes a lot of hard work and dedication that a lot of rich athletes don't have. Both Tatum and Brown know that the most important things for them is getting more rings and everyone on the team knows they need each other for that. They're very good at having an us against the world attitude so the more people try to talk them down, the more likely that will come back even stronger. I'd say the more anti-Celtic talk out there, the more likely they will win.

    NBA is always full of politics and always catering to people/companies that makes them money including China. So it's no surprise since JB is quite vocal on issues and him being different including his religion , which is the same as Kyrie. So there is politics and a lil racism. NBA and Team USA didn't handle this well. He definitely deserves to be in the team and was an equivalent or even a better replacement to Kawhi. Kawhi was never a role player, he's a star player so Derrick White should not be the replacement.
