Idea for 3rd ending. An assassin bumps into the room, executes 2 of Adam's masked henchmen and then tells Adam he became expendable by opinion of higher ups which truly run the show and how he served his purpose in bigger image. Then he says if you want to live that you need to brutally torture and execute Adam on camera. If you do it,then you are welcomed in the club and take Adam's place in this business. I believe this ending would be cool cause it still shows there is no good outcome in these grim situations but it would show well that survival truly is sensitive topic and how indeed everyone is expendable. It would show how Adam died showing his survival instinct in brutal death (basically live by sword die by sword) while you committed atrocity to show your survival instinct too by becoming monster.
Good solid speech about human preservation and corporate enterprise power and control.... really makes you think as much of what was said is extremely true to the core... But the last moments were a bit cliche.... was pretty obvious the ending was saw inspired.... everything was too precise in the game. Hopefully, down the line, there is some secret or will be patched in eventually for a 3rd ending. Would make for a great DLC decision.
I predicted the ending once he said we’ll get to that when they were talking about what happened to the girl. I was like haha seriously, I bet you’re going to make the person choose between their life or hers. Sheesh. Anyone else think it was a predictable ending? Kind of disappointing for a game so based on scary things and a point behind the things done.
Alright. Im going to give my opinion on this ending. I'm going to try and be fair with the creator of this game. I think i know where he was going with this. I think he wanted people to see that there is no reward for entering such a dangerous place. Big companies manipulate everything and there is always someone big controlling everything and in the end if you try to be a hero you get killed. In simple words, don't mess around with what you don't understand. Idk if the main dev will ever agree on what i'm about to write but i know a lot of people will. I loved the game. It doesn't need monsters or anything like that to scare you, and it's the first game i see that explores the deep web in such a unique and kind of "realistic" way. but man, there for sure was another way around that ending and still giving out the lesson that the dev wanted to give. I'm going to give a game that i loved as an example. Outlast, Outlast Whistleblower. (SPOILERS FOR THAT GAME AHEAD) I think these games are kind of similar in a way to welcome to the game because it's about a brave reporter that decides to go investigate in some shitty places, just to find out that a big company is behind all of it, the way that outlast made the ending cool was bittersweet and was REALLY GOOD in my opinion. Waylon park (Protagonist of whistleblower) Exposes Murkoff (The big company) everything that they have done comes out. but he is fucked. Everyone he loves is fuck, from now on he is trying to escape these big companies to the point were he burns down his house, and the other protagonist "dies". I think that Welcome to the Game 2 could have made the ending like this in a way. Bittersweet. But that ending as if right now just feels like a big "FUCK YOU" to the player. From the moment that Lucas hit's you. It's literally the ending of SAW game all over again. When the player is faced with an ending like this. He is only going to be thinking "Well, there goes my 20 hours" as either he or the girl get killed. I would like to see the opinion of Adam
This. Outlast's ending made me feel bad, but it was a great ending. It was sort of expected, but it really naturally drew you with the storybuilding and all. This game just basically pulled the 'hey, remember your only Ally who helped you? Yeah, he's the villain. Didn't expect that, did you?' it was so clicked and predictable
Why does this game have to be so deafeningly loud and then so quiet to the point where you can't hear it. Every footstep does no need to be so loud, you might as well have them barefoot and have annoyingly loud slapping sounds when you walk or run.... Yeah that's how a real person walks in that situation (sarcasm is obvious) In all the game was way too difficult for an ending that was never worth it just like the first one...
@@themanager9642 negative reviews where? Dev's can't delete reviews of their game that would be stupid and every game would have 10/10 reviews. No platform would allow that at all...
As someone who watched markiplier struggle to get the endings, I gotta say, the choice seemed to simple. For all the depth they give to the deep web(Go figure), you would think the endings would reflect that, every "killer" having an ending. Like if you swapped back to the wep before finding the location, having a swat team bust in as you are offered the choice to kill amalea or save yourself, seeing as they tracked your location using the tunnel, and then depending on if you had to deal with the dollmaker, either you will be behind bars/executed or let go. just as an example
Ok so, a long time ago I always would watch Markiplier play this game and see him rage and would always think it was funny and such, I also would rage with him and get spooked. (note, this was like years ago so now i didn't remember crap) now, I went back to his last video on this game. and of course I skipped to the end to see if he finished the game. I thought to myself, "jesus mark calm down! i feel so damn bad for the developers of this game because you keep raging and hating on this game". and I was mad at him for just raging so bad. anyway, after I finished the video, i wanted to see what the ending/s were to see if all of the time mark spent on this game was worth it. and oh my god. these endings are so god damn bad. these endings? so lame and so bad. there was so much suffering people put into this game, JUST FOR THESE TYPES OF ENDINGS?!?!?!? at least extend the ending where you have to die to let Amelia live. (for ex.) you run away from the room trying to find Amelia and/or try to escape afterwards. or such like that. these endings are so boring and NOT worth all of the time people put in for this game. now i agree with mark about this game being stupid. the endings are so not worth it and i feel so bad for the people who had to go through those endings after spending so much time on it. (SORRY IF I TALKED A LOT I JUST HAD TO LET IT ALL OUT)
Video games aren't supposed to be realistic. We play games to escape reality. Even then, if it's not a reward, then what have we been working towards for the past 20-40 hours, huh? You really think PAYING money for this and putting all that effort in only to have it amount to nothing wouldn't piss people off?
@@asaaii3872 Realistic is just an excuse to cope out excuse for the bad ending. If the entire game was unrealistic, why would the game have to has to have a "realistic" ending to be good? (apart from the fact that it isn't realistic either).
The ending was pretty shit to be honest. The whole speech he gave out was totally unoriginal. Just talking about society and how people actually are is something that plenty of games already do. And how the ending was so short. It should have been a lot more dramatic instead of him just being like "oh okay I guess I'll just leave."
Perdomy It's not supposed to be original. Adam was conveying the situation of natural selection or survival of the fittest to how he made a business off of the game.
Honestly, if you're familiar enough with the city you live in you could figure out what building the office is in by comparing the relative location of the buildings in the background. It'd take a while and a good bit of surveillance but then you'd just need to put a hit on Adam
Thank you for not talking over the dialogue since I suck at the game that can't beat it myself. And almost every video out there has a streamer so eager to express thier feeling of how hard it is to beat the game that I can't hear the dialogue at all.
Taking the girls place is the best ending. Clint refused to compromise and chose to die with his morals and beliefs intact, he ended the game on his terms something Adam even shows respect for.
Im glad i look ed up the ending even though i paid money to try and beat it. The endings suck for how hard the game is. Maybe the new 1337 difficulty has something different but i doubt its worth the pain and suffering to try and beat it
I see many complain about the ending, but I believe that it required a bad ending to make the game's plot realistic. A little plot-twist, with a lot of suffering to go through, just for that. Well yes, you were the prey this whole time and you were watched this whole time. This wasn't supposed to be easy. And the ending is not what makes this game good, it's everything else, and look, you won, and your price was basically saving the girl, and organisations like that usually just kill everyone that has an eye on them. I believe that saving yourself or running out of time would end up as the same, or maybe if you run out of time you would at least keep the investigation running. Again, people were watching how you struggle against the odds, they wanted a show, so they would make it hard on purpose.
You were set up from the beginning, and you can perfectly see that you are not the one who has control over the situation since you are only given the choice to either save yourself or someone else. I think that it is supposed to give you a bad feeling either way, it intensifies the feeling of unfairness. You still have to admit that you were at least given the choice to save someone, as dealing with groups like that usually just ends up getting you killed.
First, the mc doesn't have to be able to use a gun, it would lose the game's purpose. About getting swatted for nothing, you are right, you should get tracked by the police when you're on illegal websites, but I don't know if that's asking too much. While the player was recorded, you might think that he could be saved, yet not everyone who is watching knows how to track him and those who know might not be interested, just by looking you don't know where he is, because the place the player is looks pretty much just like any other apartment, and you first say that if he knows how not to get tracked, so that makes it even harder. The player didn't simply TRUST Adam, he followed his advice. Amelia was investigating the same thing as the player, so saving her would be beneficial, although the part about you getting down is ridiculously suspicious. The ending might have been done better, but I still feel like this is how things are. Like I said before, the player is a mere tool, and dealing with organisations like that can't make you expect a perfect ending. Also, what kind of ending are you asking for? One were you can save both Amelia and yourself? That would require more than just one guy looking websites in the deep-web. It would require the cooperation with an armed group, the player might want to make himself traceable with something, and when brought to Adam, the group would only have to follow the player. Well, speculation, not a fact.
There's a difference between having a harsh unsatisfying ending and having a crappy ending. I would never expect a game like this to have a satisfying ending but... These endings are predictable and 'meh'. Sure they're cruel and disheartening. That's fine, but they're definitely not worth the effort the player goes through to see them. The journey is great, but the destination is disappointing for the *wrong* reasons.
3rd ending could involve the police, that would be cool, right? My idea for a 3rd ending would be, you get kidnapped, the police have found your location due to you having a phone and your suspicious activity, and take down Adam and his crew
This here folks is an example of the ultimate simp, dying for some girl he doesn't even know. the best outcome is surviving and exposing Adam's scheme.
@@Ask4This the difference is that the reporter was trying to dig up what was happening and sticking his nose in their business, but the girl had nothing to do with it
Tbh I wish there was an emotionally connection with Glenn and Amelia, like the player knows nothing about Amelia how she got there, who she is like what she was doing before getting captured stuff like that. If Amelia and Glenn knew each other and had a relationship then there's more value to letting Amelia live. I let her die and tbh didn't rlly care bcuz I knew nothing about her and she didn't have much feeling to me. The endings seemed rushed and just boring no torture no blood no anything, for a game about the deep web, the ending was rlly lame
The 2nd ending is hella twisted. Like yeah, I know I sacrificed a random stranger to get killed so I could go home and eat some Cheetos while watching Like a Boss Compilations, you don't have to make me hear the screams smh
I stg everything I watch involving the “dark web” always involves some dumb shit about “WOOOO WE SET UP CAMERAS IN YOUR HOUSE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN PAYING TO WATCH THIS THE WHOLE TIIIIIIIME”
Why isn't there a second ending where if the player completes it with the cops on his trail. It ends with him getting kidnapped here, but the police was about to ambush him, so instead trace him back to this meeting and burst their whole operation. Seriously they've been bothering him for trying to save his colleague yet now they don't have a hint to him after all this?
As of right now, I'm training to be a police officer with hopes of becoming a detective and honestly, the best course of action in my eyes would be saving yourself for the greater good. If you die they'll continue their deeds and at the end of the day you may have saved Amelia but more women will be kidnapped and you won't be able to stop them. If you live you can continue saving lives without sacrificing your own and if you're particularly brave you could tip off the police about Adam but, this will most likely mean your death.
It doesn’t matter which end you take, it makes you look like a loser Literally you promised to protect Amalea and then you can choose change your mind and kill a girl you promised to protect or search her for nothing and die
Wow. That was shitty. I have tried this game for 40 hours, with no luck, I have almost had is so many times and I didn't want to spoil the ending for myself so I can enjoy it. But after 40 hours of pain, I couldn't do it anymore. And this is the ending. I am disappointed to say the least.
Tbh I understand why everyone is complaining about the endings and all but like,, if you think about it,, like,, there’s not supposed to be justice or anything,, like you entered a dangerous place and website what would you expect?? The ending doesn’t define whether or not the game was good,, it’s the plot,, the characters the settings and all that other stuff,, honestly I loved this game and I hope Adam can make more ;;

@@IetuYT Thank you so much! This means a lot to me. I'm very thankful, I like knowing what people say. Didn't expect this haha. Once again, thank you. I'll go on and watch it again. (:
Doesnt have to be rewarding. But i should feel like it all amounted to something, good or bad. The choice of having you take the girls place or just saving yourself doesnt feel like it matters in the slightest because who the hell even are those characters? Personally i didnt feel anything either way because there was never any development. A game can have a bad ending but the bad ending at least needs to make you feel something and not be boring as hell
Should've ended with you being forced to join the Noir or die because you knew too much. Amelea was already dead or was a noir posing as bait. These ending are kinda a huge letdown.
The second ending was more than just shit. It was like seeing your character puke for ten hours as an ending, the first one at least had "thanks for playing" as the last dialogue
I believe Mark quiting the game was a good choice after watching these endings. He might have lost sanity if he got these endings after he wasted over 20 hours on this
That's my main problem with these games. Yeah, they're realistic of course, but you have to go through hours of repetitious game play. There's no story to keep you entertained, nor cool mechanics and actions to be impressed by, it's just hard. Not even fun, challenging hard. Just unsatisfyingly boring hard. I love a good challenge, but the Welcome To The Game series had way too cool of a premise to be wasted like this. It'd be different if the gameplay itself was rewarding and not the ending, but there is nothing rewarding to it; even the shock of the dark web gets boring. It takes a lot of skill to make torture, murder, and death boring.
So the psychopathic mastermind of the game was just the creator's self-insert, lovely. I don't wanna talk bad about him or else I'll be the one being murdered.
people just dont get that its all about the journey, not the ending. what? you know that you will die and you still live anyway, "whats the point of living" is the same as "whats the point playing this game". I know some of you are suicidal (like me) but hey... sometime you think one of that day you survive is a good day thats make you grateful that you live, whats the difference? the game is awesome! and props to the developers for making immersive gameplay!

Listen, the ending sucks certainly but he also fucked that game up for himself. He repeatedly ignored the bits of good advice chat gave in favor of either ignoring them or doing what he "thought" was correct
@@Altair1243WAR Nah the game itself sucks too. Way too fucking tedious to even be fun or enjoyable as an experience
@@Altair1243WAR Beyond shit game but tbh really good point. I was infuriated at every time he refused to just... read chat. Like there were people literally point blank explaining to him how to recover his save and he just refused to read it.
@@thejokeexplainer2800 bruh if everyone spams their shit like "Lock the door/breather/bathroom/closet/computer/hack/chica, etc. , how would he be able to read other advice in between?
Also i agree becuz he just wouldn't turn on "slow chat" thinking it would be funny if the chat was chaotic despite people begging him to turn it on. I'm glad the series ended lol
That would be nice
100th like
Maybe the assassin that storms into the room could be the one that was trying to hunt you down the entire game.
You must've been high on some crazy new drug when you said this. The shadow web isn't that simple especially for a *journalist*

Lucas works for Adam. The same goes for the Noir Cultists and The Breather.
Thank you
maybe the third ending would be buying a gun from the deepweeb and then knowing when to shoot when the cutsceene starts
@@aturchomicz821
Would be a way too merciful ending for that guy tbh.
Maybe Dollmaker wants him.
Cleit wow u don’t have a life
You read all the way through.
Marcus 5_887_4 because...
Man, why is everyone comparing Outlast which is a "fuck all the sense" type of game to this game? Wtf is wrong with you guys.
bruh, i feel so bad for mark now and everybody else who had to suffer through it for this ending
Why does this game have to be so deafeningly loud and then so quiet to the point where you can't hear it. Every footstep does no need to be so loud, you might as well have them barefoot and have annoyingly loud slapping sounds when you walk or run.... Yeah that's how a real person walks in that situation (sarcasm is obvious)
In all the game was way too difficult for an ending that was never worth it just like the first one...
Why do people not only defend this game but go after the people who wished the game was better? This really confuses me.
Just blind fanboys who don't realize everything has flaws.
Apparently the Dev was deleting some negative reviews as well. Birds of a feather. .
@@themanager9642 negative reviews where? Dev's can't delete reviews of their game that would be stupid and every game would have 10/10 reviews. No platform would allow that at all...
i love this game
@@ciaranmcl4939 No, but they can report reviews they don't like and pay people to give positive reviews.
As someone who watched markiplier struggle to get the endings, I gotta say, the choice seemed to simple. For all the depth they give to the deep web(Go figure), you would think the endings would reflect that, every "killer" having an ending. Like if you swapped back to the wep before finding the location, having a swat team bust in as you are offered the choice to kill amalea or save yourself, seeing as they tracked your location using the tunnel, and then depending on if you had to deal with the dollmaker, either you will be behind bars/executed or let go. just as an example
did he get the endings?
I love this idea
Ok so,
a long time ago I always would watch Markiplier play this game and see him rage and would always think it was funny and such, I also would rage with him and get spooked. (note, this was like years ago so now i didn't remember crap) now, I went back to his last video on this game. and of course I skipped to the end to see if he finished the game. I thought to myself, "jesus mark calm down! i feel so damn bad for the developers of this game because you keep raging and hating on this game". and I was mad at him for just raging so bad.
anyway, after I finished the video, i wanted to see what the ending/s were to see if all of the time mark spent on this game was worth it.
and
oh
my
god.
these endings are so god damn bad. these endings? so lame and so bad. there was so much suffering people put into this game, JUST FOR THESE TYPES OF ENDINGS?!?!?!? at least extend the ending where you have to die to let Amelia live.
(SORRY IF I TALKED A LOT I JUST HAD TO LET IT ALL OUT)
Yes, it definitely wasn't worth the 40 hours it took.
All that suffering for basically nothing, what a real bummer.
I only watched youtubers and even that felt like too much effort for endings like these
Victorianme the ending is not supposed to be a reward. It’s realistic...
Video games aren't supposed to be realistic. We play games to escape reality. Even then, if it's not a reward, then what have we been working towards for the past 20-40 hours, huh? You really think PAYING money for this and putting all that effort in only to have it amount to nothing wouldn't piss people off?
They can be realistic if they want to be.
@@arcade4911 Still, this game is pure shit.
@@asaaii3872 Realistic is just an excuse to cope out excuse for the bad ending. If the entire game was unrealistic, why would the game have to has to have a "realistic" ending to be good? (apart from the fact that it isn't realistic either).
Wait. If Noir is "black" or "dark" in French, why do they have white masks?
@Oh No nope noir mean black and only black if it was because the hind in the dark they would be called sombre
@Oh No You don't speak french do you? :/
Thats what I been thinking off lol
It's new york, if 4chan can find a flag by clouds and air planes alone
@@drkinferno72 Looks more like Perth to me
Lucas vs Adam
Thank you for not talking over the dialogue since I suck at the game that can't beat it myself. And almost every video out there has a streamer so eager to express thier feeling of how hard it is to beat the game that I can't hear the dialogue at all.
Taking the girls place is the best ending.
Clint refused to compromise and chose to die with his morals and beliefs intact, he ended the game on his terms something Adam even shows respect for.
i love how the noir gives you a piggy back ride on the way out
He probably just holds your hands on your back but I love to imagine that just because of how lame the ending is.
If this is what the endings are like, then Mark really wasn't missing out on much.
Im glad i look ed up the ending even though i paid money to try and beat it. The endings suck for how hard the game is. Maybe the new 1337 difficulty has something different but i doubt its worth the pain and suffering to try and beat it
Funfact: This video has a lot of wievs just because Mark went crazy

@@MobyTheLion This was 2 years ago when almost everybody on the internet used this trend. Shut up bro
@@pesopurbs it's not really a trend it's still a thing
Exactly - thank you.
Making a bad ending for it to be realistic?? Oh dear.
City dwellers don't have guns. Legally at least.
What a load of sh*t. I’d be sooo mad if I played this game for this ending. Pisspoor!
Mark is correct on everything he said.
What did they do to her? Play Friday on repeat?
Joshua Donnelly nah they probably played the emoji movie
Or made her listen to Nickelback for 10 hours
Oof old joke 😂
Tortured her to death
There's a difference between having a harsh unsatisfying ending and having a crappy ending. I would never expect a game like this to have a satisfying ending but... These endings are predictable and 'meh'. Sure they're cruel and disheartening. That's fine, but they're definitely not worth the effort the player goes through to see them. The journey is great, but the destination is disappointing for the *wrong* reasons.
Clint managed all sorts of crazy shit, why wouldn't Adam hire him instead of just killing him/letting him walk ?
3rd ending could involve the police, that would be cool, right?
My idea for a 3rd ending would be, you get kidnapped, the police have found your location due to you having a phone and your suspicious activity, and take down Adam and his crew
Mark suffered all of that for these kinda disappointing endings?.. wow...
No cuz he didnt finish, but still yeah-
For an ending this bad, you’d think the dev would be less big headed….
Though, he did make himself the main villain, so maybe it’s as expected
Came here cause I'm bummed Markiplier got fed up with it and didn't finish 😖
Who else got more scared by the title at the end than any other part of the game?
But I wanted to see how happy Amalea was when she's freed.
You are a god for spending so much time on this game for such lame ass endings
Going through grueling punishment for a lose-lose ending? Fuck that
In that case, I’d sacrifice myself. If I didn’t, my whole struggle would be for nothing. I’d die happy knowing that the innocent girl will live.

7:52 This has gotta to be one of the Disturbing sound i ever heard.
I haven't noticed that The Breather is in the ending until now, holy shit-
I stg everything I watch involving the “dark web” always involves some dumb shit about “WOOOO WE SET UP CAMERAS IN YOUR HOUSE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN PAYING TO WATCH THIS THE WHOLE TIIIIIIIME”
I hope Mark was able to see this.
Looks like good guy Adam wasn’t such a good guy after all
As of right now, I'm training to be a police officer with hopes of becoming a detective and honestly, the best course of action in my eyes would be saving yourself for the greater good.
Adam is sick, and every ending us sad
When the brightness and volume are cranked and you can still barely see or hear what's going on
It doesn’t matter which end you take, it makes you look like a loser
Literally you promised to protect Amalea and then you can choose change your mind and kill a girl you promised to protect or search her for nothing and die
Going with the whole theme of realism here, fuck no I’m not choosing my life to be taken over another.
Bruh Breather was just standing in the corner like a weirdo
Wow. That was shitty. I have tried this game for 40 hours, with no luck, I have almost had is so many times and I didn't want to spoil the ending for myself so I can enjoy it. But after 40 hours of pain, I couldn't do it anymore. And this is the ending. I am disappointed to say the least.
this game could've been really good if there was more to it than scouring the internet for numbers lmao
you should have said you wanted to die but wanted last final words: no u adam

The ending was not supposed to be rewarding...
Exactly
I agree just like Welcome to the game watching the red room torture and murder but less gory so still to be honest BEST TWISTED ENDING EVER
It wasn't. It never was. You were supposed to have a bad ending, but 'the person helping you was the bad guy all along' ending is predictable af
Then there's no point to playing a game if the ending isn't rewarding. Plain and simple.
At the first jumpscare I fucking through my phone and shat myself
The second ending was more than just shit. It was like seeing your character puke for ten hours as an ending, the first one at least had "thanks for playing" as the last dialogue
This is a ending of all time.
Yea I came just for mark to see what happens and I’m disappointed all that hard work for these two disappointing endings
Welp, mark was right, those ending were definitely not worth all the pain you have to go through to get here
Both as unsatisfying as I thought they would be
I believe Mark quiting the game was a good choice after watching these endings.
It takes a lot of skill to make torture, murder, and death boring.
yes, these endings may have been too disappointing, but can we talk about that second ending
these screams are fucking *_haunting_*
that girl's performance was better than the whole game 💀
So the psychopathic mastermind of the game was just the creator's self-insert, lovely. I don't wanna talk bad about him or else I'll be the one being murdered.
people just dont get that its all about the journey, not the ending.
what? you know that you will die and you still live anyway, "whats the point of living" is the same as "whats the point playing this game". I know some of you are suicidal (like me) but hey... sometime you think one of that day you survive is a good day thats make you grateful that you live, whats the difference? the game is awesome! and props to the developers for making immersive gameplay!
