We shot this video of Dinosaur last week before the park closure. Enjoy while you are safe at home in self-quarantine where there is practically no chance of a giant meteor wiping out all life on earth.
I hope they NEVER update the pre-ride video. It brings back such good memories, and touches on time when WDW actually felt special. Updating it would only ruin it. (Same with how T2:3D ruined their pre-show by updating their pre-ride vid)
I remember in 2005 before they refurbed the ride with more lights, it almost used to be pitch black, and they would only reveal the dinosaur as you approached it... scared the living bejesus out of me when the Carnataurus is right above the vehicle (where they take your photo) which made for much better photo ops. Also I feel like they also moved him back more after the refurb to make it less frightening
When I worked at Disney World in 2019, I'd wake up super early, take the cast transport bus to DAK and wait in line for the park to open just so I could ride Dinosaur 10x with no line right as the park opened before going to work at Hollywood Studios so these videos always fill me with so much happiness :)
Really impressed, literally every other video is impossible to see whats going on because it's so dark, but your camera picks it up really well. Great work! :)
When I was a kid I remember I used to see this ride promoted on big billboards on the side of the highway and I used to get so scared and told myself I’d never go on that ride. I went on it last year as a 23 year old and I loved it lol.
it's actually a spare head they use when the animatronic on the right side is down! sort of a "b-mode" for the attraction, just in case. :) (it's so creepy tho lol)
@Sharp Productions I love Disney DINOSAUR ride from Disney Animal Kingdom because it's my 1# favorite, even 100% better than Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Forbidden Eye and the dinosaurs are always part of the animal kingdom, so I don't want anyone to prove me wrong about these extinct beasties.
when i went at the end of this ride when they took a picture i was sobbing and had like a panic attack. the camera caught me at the worst time. this ride is SCARY as heck. my family still laughs at this photo today and this was 3 years ago
This ride SCARED ME TO DEATH! I was screaming and saying “WHY WOULD YOU SEND US ON A MISSION WHEN WE DIDNT EVEN GET THE DINO!” but it is cool to see the animatronics
Jesus. I got nostalgic and looked up a video of this ride to see how it is doing now, since it's one of my absolute favorites. The state the animatronics are in now is really depressing. Shame they didn't fix them for the refurbishment years ago. Maybe with the Covid-19 outbreak they will have a chance to do it?
I went back and compared with our videos from 2011 and 2013, they all have the same number of Carnotauruses. The only one that seems to chase you is 6:37
@@sharpproductions Ah i think i missed it on the first watch. At 5:55. Think the animatronic is on a separate track, however i seem to remember it moved a lot faster
I kinda miss the original design of this ride back then when I first went on it. It was more of a thrill and scary the old version of this ride was better in my opinion lol
Who remembers kingdom of the Dinosaurs at knotts berry farm ? That ride probably cost 2 million less to make and looked 100% better than this horrible ride ...
I just went to animal kingdom for the first time, and rode this ride. Having experienced Indiana Jones, I can say for certain: this ride really sucks. I originally thought the videos weren't doing it justice, but now I know the videos are less of a waste of time than the ride itself. This whole area of the park needs a complete re-theme. They totally half-assed it, and never bothered to fix it later.
I just rode this ride for the first time a month ago. While I do think that Indy is a way more intense ride experience. I really enjoyed the scenery in this one and appreciate the fact that I can spend my time looking at it. However, dinoland could use an update especially the part with the coaster and carnival games.
This ride has more dinosaurs than the new Jurassic World ride, and it's better
at least the ones at universal aren't all broken
grapieee@ good point

I was terrified of this ride as a kid
I heard it was named Countdown to Exctintion before it was named Dinosaur (like the movie).
Joshua Dohrmann legend has it they once had real dinosaurs trained to chase cars on tracks.
I Watched When I Was Little!
Joshua Dohrmann yes. If you look on the time rovers, you can see the letters CTX. They’re also on the costumes of the cast members.
i thought the movie was fine
Well now that the parks are closed because of coronavirus maybe they can have the time to fix all of these broken dinosaur animatronics...
Yep
The carno at the end was not looking too good at all
It would also be nice if they fixed all the special effects. We all know thats not going to happen though...
Yea, I remember so much more motion/movement and the sound effects had more base.
6:24- I don’t recall there being a second Carnotaurus on the left side
it's actually a spare head they use when the animatronic on the right side is down! sort of a "b-mode" for the attraction, just in case. :) (it's so creepy tho lol)

Temple of the forbidden eye kinda terrified me, though.
6:23 SECRET CARNO OUT OF NOWHERE
This is my favorite ride at Animal Kingdom. I will be pissed if they get rid of it
Me too
when i went at the end of this ride when they took a picture i was sobbing and had like a panic attack. the camera caught me at the worst time. this ride is SCARY as heck. my family still laughs at this photo today and this was 3 years ago
I wonder if they still have the movie sculpture model of Aladar
6:23
Anyone notice the Carno on the left sitting in darkness at the end of the ride?
Broformers ! It seems like the final guy is in a static mode as well.
This ride SCARED ME TO DEATH! I was screaming and saying “WHY WOULD YOU SEND US ON A MISSION WHEN WE DIDNT EVEN GET THE DINO!” but it is cool to see the animatronics
The Carnotaurus scared me when I was 5
I plan on going there in october!
HeyThatsAlex GaNg 🤞should be open, right. 😬
@@Noclue0828 hope so
@@ericcartman1425 hope you have a good time when you go
If I go to Disney’s animal kingdom I’m never gonna go on this ride
I might have realized that the final Carnotaurus sequence was a callback to Jurassic Park: The Ride with the Carnotaurus replacing the Tyrannosaurus
4:53, this part terrified me as a 5 year old
Does anyone know what happened to the static Compsognathus props before they were replaced with the screen?
I want to go on that ride again :(
Dinosaur Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Great Low Light 2020 Night Vision
Actually the iguanodont lived during the early cretaceous and was extinct long before the meteor impact at the end of the cretaceous.
this paleontologist failed collage because he needs a computer to name dinos but i really do like this ride
I think it's supposed to be that he can't see them, just their size on his computer, so the time rover's computer is telling him what they are.
Sharp Productions ok
I have to agree with you. My son could name all those dinos just by looking at them and he's turning five in July.

Happy 20th Anniversary Dinosaur!! 🦖🦕🌴☄️🔥🌊⛈🌤🏜⛰
Wow
I ❤️ that ride But second is Expedition Everest
This ride scared the shit out of me when my dad and I went on it in 2001. I was seven
I went on this ride back in 2008, I was 5 years old and I cried
Temple of the forbidden eye kinda terrified me.
What's your camera?
Nice vid. Did Disney remove the Carnotaurus that "chases" you? Scared the crap out of me first time i rode it .

Wat, Thiers a hidden Carnotaurus at 6.24.
Would you say the drop on this ride i similar to the drop in the Frozen ride?
Frozen actually has a drop, this is more like riding a washing machine.
Is this ride still goin on?
Still there but currently all Disney parks are closed.
4:59 - Anybody else say this in everyday life?
So weird being a clone of Indiana Jones at Disneyland and not hearing the music but knowing every corner
6:24/6:25 DINO APPEARS IN THE TREES
this ride could use a referbishment
Indiana Jones: Dinosaur Edition🤔
Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Time Circuits.
Similar to Indiana Jones at Disneyland?

Respect that DINOSAUR ride, will ya? These are always part of the animal kingdom, NOT a pieces of the furniture.

@@zombies2307 No Indiana Jones theme park at Disney Animal Kingdom!
looks like a boring version of indiana jones ride
Both I've been on, and both are really good. While Indi is better, Dinosaur is much more terrifying.
This ride lowkey sucks. They need to make this the Indiana Jones Adventure like at Disneyland.
Its really good when you ride it, Indi is great yes, but this ride is almost just as good, does a great job at terrifying you.
