Charlie Thompson Thanks for watching Charlie, Yes it is a pretty nice grinder, A little heavy duty. But great for big cutting and grinding. sorry if the video is a little out of focus, I'm having a little problem with my camera right now.
I wish you showed how you put on the metal cutting wheel. I have a flat Type 1 metal cut off wheel. Bought my grinder off eBay and there was no adapters to attach a flat wheel. Read the reviews on Home Depot and one user read in the manual that Type 1 cut off wheels are not to be used on the grinder. “Use ONLY type 27 depressed center grinding wheels”. So this grinder is not meant for cutting? Lots of bad reviews about the grinder dying shortly after used because of bad bearings. How’s yours holding up?
Well that box got "unboxed" ;-)! I bought this same grinder back in July, and I love it. For smaller grinders, I much prefer the DeWalt or Makita pistol-grip variety, but this 7in makes quick work of large grinding jobs compared to to the 4/5/6in grinders. It might now spin as fast as the smaller units, but it moves A LOT more metal in the same amount of time. Ridgid's 'lifetime' warranty are what I like the most too.
This was the best grinder review of them all. I liked all the grinder on metal action. Also, concrete! Holy crap! I'm getting one of these bad boys tomorrow. The only thing that would make it better is if that the handle could screw into the left side, right side, top AND bottom. But, we'll have to wait for next year's model. Thanks again for the great channel!
Well filmed review. I would just add that it also features a tool-less guard position change. I suspect it is orange because it is a Home Depot exclusive product.
Hey, I just bought this tool, I want to use it to cut some pavers however the instructions say not to use this tool with a flat blade, the blade you used was flat. How'd you get it tight enough for safety ? Or is there an adapter piece ? Thanks!!
Thanks for watching , They have or you should be able to buy or use a adapter from another grinder. I now have a 10'' diamond blade on mine. Jimbos garage!
Seems like a decent grinder for the price, I hope so since I purchased one after watching your great video! Noticed this video is 4 years old, are you still pleased with it?
doesn't show blade replacement or what specific blade brands are compatible. The amount of fluff on these videos is always so annoying when looking for a solution. Have fun doing whatever this video was supposed to instruct.
Great review video. Really liked to see the use of all the different wheels to attach to it.
Bought one today. Awesome review. 👍🏼
Cool video as always jimbo. Ridgid generally makes a good product for the money. I am a fan of their circular saws.
Nice !!!! your remember me when I open the box of my new tools thank you for the video!!
Another great vid. I don't use mine everyday (or week), but Ridgid tools are surprisingly good.

Finally I see an unboxing of someone ripping open a box like I do haha

Looks like a good angle grinders. Is it variable speed or do you think it's probably not necessary. Thank you again.
i gave him a like for ripping that box open
looks like it chew bricks like butter. I have some paver projects coming up. I wonder how many pavers 1 blade will cut.

Yikes 😬..... please send video.
I see you have the Ryobi 4.5" grinder in your amazon list. Is this Ridgid 7" not recommended any more?
Thanks for watching, Yes it is recommended, I just haven't added it to the list. Jimbo!

Thanks for watching, I still have it. Jimbo!
Good video. Do you like cordless as much. I have a full time blacksmith shop. Thank you.
Thanks for watching Mark, I don't have any cordless grinders. Jimbos garage!
Safety switch is too small. Pain in the ass. Other than that it's a good grinder.
I burned 3 of these grinders.
