I went to President Trump's ralley Panama City Beach it was an honor to see our President speak in person the last time I had this honor I was 9 years old the President was John F. Kennedy even now my throat is choked with honor of shaking hands with JFK and seeing our President and I know we will have 4 more years of this great man

Probably was prior service before he joined the chaplain corps
He coulda soldiered before he went to seminary. Three Catholic chaplains in Vietnam received the CMH serving in combat, two died.

Why does it take 15 years to award a medal?
Obummer did a lot in 8 years, like weakened the military, to about nothing, and was a weak leader in every way, the illegal divider and chief!!!
Its a very lengthy process
Specifically for this one, the packet on it is like a book it's so much paperwork, just for a regular award at the lowest possible level its like 10 pages of documents and multiple paragraphs of explanations on why a soldier should get the award, I can't imagine the huge pain a MOH packet is, especially once it goes up through your supervisors and chain of command, every single person nitpicks the way it is written and sends it all the way back down to you the award recommender and writer for corrections like 50 thousand times, so that's really why it takes so long

My Son served in Iraq as well as Afghanistan. I am so proud and grateful to Staff Sgt Bellavia, for the lives he saved. Could so easily have been my Son who was spared! (He came home safely from each tour, thankfully! :)

I've always said 1/3 of NCOES courses should require a complete memory of metal of honors winners! I'll bet a lot of instructors would agree .! Because in knowing what they did for our freedom is the American Spirit ?

Back in 2015 it was part of the curriculum at my warrior leaders course NCOES that we had to develop and give a brief on a MOH recipient we were assigned to from a list, mine was SFC randall shugart, a sniper with 1SFOD who was killed in Mogadishu trying to save downed pilots
