He was living in a small, really dated 2nd floor apartment above a record shop called ZULU records on West 4th Ave in the Kitsilano area of Van. JD was a very shy, unassuming guy based on my interactions with him.

Fake is when you intentionally put on a rubbish accent or completely remove it on purpose, but when it happens naturally due to time spent elsewhere, it's merely a mash up of all the accents you've been around regularly.

I loved the way young Johnny spoke, but now his deep slow toned voice is also mesmerising to listen to ....I believe it is a combination of many accents he has portrayed in films.
