And some of the voice samples are taken from many sources such as the Extraordinary and We Have been Waiting For you from Enter the Dragon while Ape 3's laugh is sampled from Woody Woodpecker
I had the honor and pleasure to play this arcade game. It is insanely fun and addicting to play. I’m getting better each time I play and so far I’ve gotten to Round 8. Gonna keep playing it until I complete the first loop or reach the last round.
sadly, you were incorrect hopefully they add it as a dlc character but they probably won't since this was a one-off and i'm pretty sure nintendo just forgot about it
One of the only references to the game was actually made in the reboot version of Punch Out!! for Wii as a comment Doc can make when fighting Bald Bull. I haven't seen it come up since, though I wouldn't be surprised if it got some nod in a Warioware game, they loved to reference obscure early Nintendo stuff.
@@MeesterTweester Yeah it probably hasn't been referenced since but Doc does reference it. It's one of his possible lines he says between rounds in the 2009 version and he can say it during the Contender or Title Defense version of the fight.
I'm on here because I was hoping to find the same one that you are talking about. I thought it was this one. If you do ever find out what it's called or where to find it can you lmk.
This is the one. You could get the game like this, as a conversion kit for Punch Out, or as a standalone cabinet that was sit-down and had the mechanical arm.
Europe>France>French riviera>Juan les pins pinede. we had this luck to play the game near 1990, THE Attraction of the place, so incredible, will never forget the ambiance around
I've never seen this in the arcade, but it's a dream to play it in arcade form one day. I have beaten the first set of 5 characters on MAME, but it's just not the same.
Wow! I've been interested in getting this arcade for a long time. Was there a specific cabinet made for it? Decals? Anyways, great video. Thank you for sharing.
Hey thanks for the comment! Arm Wrestling is a crazy, awesome game. There was not a specific cabinet made. It was sold only as a kit that would upgrade a Punch-Out cabinet to AW. The Kit included a complete new control panel, including the new joystick, a new marquee, the PCB, and Yes: A new decal for the side of the Cab.
I allways saw this from the ingame perspective I allways thought it was one of those arcade machines with an arm sticking out of it that would physically push back when the A.I did Guess I was fooling myself...
Ah, okay! I didn’t remember the sides of the cabinet being that shape or having that artwork on the inside, but looking at another picture, I do see it now. Awesome collection by the way, especially the Arm Wrestling and Quantum! I have never seen a Quantum cabinet with my own eyes, but have seen and played the rest of the ones you listed on original cabinets.
Man... I've seen an actual arm wrestling game (where you have to push an arm to the other side or stalemate it in the middle) but this looks wacky as hell.
Ion Twinkiez* Timing. When one appears in your button combo, you pause for a sec, and as soon as it changes into the ! or the coin you keep pressing the button.
If anything, now we have proof that the speech stutter when unmasking Bald Bull is NOT an emulation error. It happens on original hardware too. Still sounds awful, though. Why do that on purpose? "Bal-Ba-Bal-Ba-BALD BULL!"
I play it in emulator with saves and I'm going for the round 15 ... I can not beat kabuki for the third time, it's the strategy but you have less than 1/4 of a second to do it and it's impossible, even with saves do not happen there .... It does not have logic that kabuki is more difficult than fran jr ... it is like glass joe that soon becomes stronger than mr sadman ..... a wimp .... he becomes stronger than a boxer ... wow
DatGameh Bald Bull's appearance shows us that much. I would love to see this game in arcade form one day. I've seen and played the other two in arcades.
DatGameh Punch-Out!! is easy enough to find. I've seen several around within 3 states even nowadays. I've seen one in Louisville, KY, one in Brookfield, IL, one in Huntington, WV, and one somewhere in Ohio that I saw in a pic. And that's just in the past 2 years. If you look around you can find them, but Super Punch-Out!! is far less frequently seen. I've only ever seen two of them in my life, the most recent being the weekend before last in Goodlettsville, TN. Arm Wrestling would be even harder to find, and I think I'm stating the obvious when I say I have never seen one of them in arcade form.
This, and the original Punch-Out, would have worked greatly as DS re-released
Welfz Twingo Furs I said the same thing for years.
And the original Super Punch-Out!!
My condolences to the left microswitch on that joystick.
I love the ridiculously wacky sound effects.

Man I loved this game. Thanks for the memories. I laughed pretty hard the first time I saw someone pull that mask off
Man the sound effects are so addictive to listen to!
The ridiculously loud noise when Mac(?) pulls off APE III's arm always gets me laughing.
This would have been really cool if they were able to incorporate a controller, which is an arm that you wrestle with yourself.
Totally - There are games like that around. It would be a good workout.
Holy Crap! Little Mac nailing "The Big Mac" in 5 seconds is quite a feat!! Nice work. 😊
I remember Disneyland had this in their arcade near space mountain.
Yea!!! Only place I ever played it or saw it. I actually used to look forward to going to Disneyland just to play this game. Ha.
This was at my local YMCA...I used to hustle quartes off my mom for snack just to play this game never bought snack
Do they still? I'd like to go there if they do.
No that was in the 80's@@DJIncendration
same here@@mizpower7620

Calling it now, Ape III will be a playable character in ARMS.

That robot was hard. Remember my freshman yr in hs in '91 playing this
Wow, Mame doesn't emulate the sound of this all that great. Glad there's a video to compare.
This seems like the kind of machine that would require a lot of maintenance.
definitely

Beautiful cabinet.

I knew it was Bald Bull because his shape head and his mustash gives it away and his upside down evil smile
Additional comment: If you get to Round 20, the game will basically kick you off and say they have no money
Really!!?!?! Never knew this. I need to get back into this game.

@@FreeBlezzingz its a pc emulator for the arcade machine games such as the one shown in the video

@@FreeBlezzingz You put it on your PC, not the cabinet
Excellent! I may have questions later though
Thanks for the tips
Good looking game. Even though the game was made in 1985, the graphics could still hold it's own in 2016.
I think it's partly due to the fact that the graphics are very cartoony.
@@TremiRodomi Agreed. When done well, cartoons have a timeless quality because they're based in fantasy.

That looks like Tron side art on the side, but there’s no way that’s in a Tron cabinet. What was it originally?

NadrianATRS Someone else did that later
I'm looking for that game. I use to play the one with the arm. You had to be pretty strong to get passed the 3rd guy

Why do you have green hair. lol
Well it's the same Mac character from the arcade Punch Out but I don't know why they went with green hair for both this and Punch Out.
streeTkiDwannaBe it might be because of technical limitations
Figment1983 If Nintendo colored in his hair green then they can make it brown or whatever. That would be an easy thing to change.

The first ever...
NINTENDO DUAL SCREEN.
