i went here last year for my b-day, one of the best days of my life, it was an amazing day, and i'd just came out of hospital from a leg infection so i got a disabled pass which got me and my family on any ride first , right to the front of the queue :] It was great, and im going this year too, 22nd august 2008 i cant wait!!!
Alton Towers is brilliant been dozens of times because i live in stoke which is close to the park. If you want a real good day and ride most rides more than once, throw a sicky and when when the kids are school the park if ur lucky is empty. The last time i went i rode the nemesis got off and walked straight back on it! Brilliant

It seems that fugepacksnack just doesn't go theme park websites and look at parks in america that are just as "fancy" as Alton Towers. Which Alton Towers is just like any other theme park but has a nice historical side to it. Which makes it the way it is. Anyway nice video and I love your wonderful pictures of the gardens and towers.

@MissStripyVest I agree with Paraville 1, it drops something like 60 foot, and then goes a further 45 feet below the ground, at the bottom is a 4,5 G-Force. It doesn't look high, but it goes bloody far down, and vertically into the ground doesn't help, either!!
The highets parts on rita (over 36 feet) have to be painted green as when they were originally red, the locals all complained that it was an eye-sore on the local scenery. therefore they painted the highest parts of the track green to blend in with the landscape.

because alton towers have a polocy to allow disaled ppl to have fun on rides aswell so they jump queue its pretty good because they can get up to 3 ppl on rides with them when they go to alton towers so they will be the disabled rider and 3 other ppl jumping the queue
@1997BAB Its a unique park because which makes it more special and more you can do in a day. It does have some of the best rides in the UK with thorpe park following behind it. And I'm a huge fan of the six flags theme parks in America which are amazing and have huge rides

They should bulldoze the gardens and woods, then add more rides! I hate having to walk for miles to get from one zone to another or queue for ages for the cable cars :@

@oster5000 whilst you are correct in saying not 90 degrees you are wrong with 81 the it is actually 88.7 degrees
