Hi I just wanted to thank you bro my girlfriend has a 2011 SRX and she had same code I did what you did and this took care of . Oh by the way she took too Mech and they gave her some B.S. hard to find good help that's why I do my self and thanks to you again taking the time to make this U Tube video you saved me time and money
Good video. Thanks for the time and effort in trying to capture all the details. My wifes 2013 SRX front passenger wheel hub went out (made a humming noise), but because it was a 4x4 and I hadnt dealt with wheel hubs before, I took it to the shop and had to chip out hundreds to get it fixed. I think Im more comfortable now in doing the next one myself....
When you have drive axle, the job has few extra steps. First while the car is still on the ground remove the center cover and undo axle nut. When you are ready to remove the axle it is easier on the front as you can just turn the wheels and it should pop out (sometimes a little help might be needed). In the rear you might need to drop the spindle to remove the axle. Other than this the job should be identical. Good luck next time you have to do it. The cracking magnetic ring is common on all Cadillacs.
Love your vids because you seem to have the same luck I have. I have learned over the years if you replace one figure on replacing the other. Keep up the good fight.
Excellent... EXCELLENT video production. The procedure for replacing the wheel bearing was extremely comprehensive. Too bad I don't have a SLEDGEHAMMER. LOL.
Thanks for the tips. I didn't see you remove the ABS probe in the process although I see that it was removed after the sledge hammer trick. I'm doing my 2011 SRX and it looks like I have to take some suspension apart to get to it.
Great video ty! I wish i had watched before handing over a fortune to the repairshop 🤦♂️ will definitely be picking up the code reader👍 The srx forever with warning lights smh
FIND YOURSELF A 12" PIPE TO FIT THROUGH THAT RATCHET IT WOULD MAKE YOUR JOB A LOT EASIER. NICE VIDEO THOUGH, I NEED TO DO THIS ON MY 2012 SRX. IN ADDITION TO FRONT END STRUTS.
Great video...mine is a 2011 srx...can I install newer version with the magnetic ring sealed inside inside of installing the same one with the same potential problem
Still stand by that ECCPP brand wheel hub? I'm about to buy one and wondering how it held up. Thanks for these informative videos, they've helped with troubleshooting my Cadillac SUX
I changed all four, but didn't remove the codes like he did. Thank you cause I put in even new sensors, filter casket, new belt with bulb, damn lights still come on..even changed all toes...even took it to have it Reset! And nothing but car runs beautiful. But after resting Engine light comes on..any suggestions
Hey nice video. I changed out the front hubs on my 2011 arc. And now a year later the rear ones are making a humming noise but I’m not getting any check lights on my dash, so I am not sure if that’s even the issue but the humming noise continues. Could it be anything else because I don’t want to go through all that work and the noise persists. Thx
The ABS light is on for the damaged magnetic ring. If the bearing on the hub is busted there would be no light. Other reasons for noise could be tires, rear differential if you have AWD or even brakes.
I watched until the end, I was thinking all along, why would you replace just ONE hub/bearing?!?! Should be done as a pair or better, all 4 wheels at the same time. If the sensor was out the bearings are also worn, and handling will be compromised until replacing.
Awsesome video! I am going to save $1,000 and take it into my shop lol Computers... I can work on computers... replacing the wheel bearing?... I'll trade currency for expertise! Awesome video
Did your speed sensor get damaged in the process of braking the hub off? It seems that the sensor is not accessible to remove before getting the hub off on the 2012-16 models.
The speed sensor is behind the wheel hub bearing and does not need to be removed. I just did the rear drivers side on my 2013 SRX AWD. i rented a slide hammer kit from Advanced Auto Parts…made the job very easy.
I got 2011 srx all wheel drive, got error code saying it’s speed sensor replace the speed sensor still same problem. It’s starting to look like it’s maybe the wheel bearing. Any opinions ? Thank you
The packaging of parts makes winners and losers, the wheel hub bearing assembly being one piece makes a press out and press in bearing operation into an unbolt old, bolt-on new operation, saving those guys tons of time, but those of us like me who just need the gasoline level sensor and not the ENTIRE PUMP, we have to buy more parts than we need. You need a reluctor ring, but they only come on a whole new hub and bearing.
Where is your jack stand! Good way to lose a limb or a life. Pullers are cheap as well. Do not EVER work under a car without a jack stand. the wheel or even a rock or a round of wood Always replace wheel hubs in pairs. You wouldn't just replace one side of brake pads? Right?
Agree with jack stands, don't trust life or limb to chinese hydraulic seal, at least mix in a chinese weld too right? {:-) Really can't use a puller here, unless its a slide-hammer one, there's nothing to push against in the center, the drive axle would just break its retaining clips. I just replaced the one that was whining, the other one has zero measurable slack, it seems wheel bearings are if there's any wear at all they're worn out.

@@TheRealMeCoWhyI've seen others say this before too but on my rims, I can't access the axle nut with the wheel still on.
Thank you for explaining clearly. What happens when the stablitrack sign comes back?
Nice. I guess it's a good idea to do both if one is shot. The other probably isn't far behind!

Great video and what the code reader you use ?
Excellent video. It helps me a lot.
hi thanks for the video. How do I know what the ball box is in the back and not the one in the front?
This video was really helpful. Thanks for sharing.

YOU NEED TO BUY WHATEVER FIT YOUR VEHICLE. WHEN SHOPPING ON AMAZON IF YOUR CAR IS IN THEIR GARAGE, WHATEVER YOU CHOOSE IT WILL TELL YOU IF IT FIT.
I fixed the wheel hub and sold the caddy thanks again for the great video
thanks for the video - what code scanner were you using
I have the same stabilitrac and abs lights on but no codes with an SCT X4 handheld tuner
Excellent Video.
I have a 2010 srx how do you. Know what side it is
Still stand by that ECCPP brand wheel hub? I'm about to buy one and wondering how it held up. Thanks for these informative videos, they've helped with troubleshooting my Cadillac SUX
Running strong
I have misfire clinnder 5 it came on when stabi track came on any idea

RUN THE BLUE DRIVER GADGET, IT WILL TELL YOU WHERE THE PROBLEM LIED...
Thank you sir 😊

@@TheRealMeCoWhy I have new set of tires. Front wheel drive. Perhaps the muffler idk
@@FernandoRodriguez-ds5ri could be the hub. If unsure check with a mechanic
HUMMING NOISE? YES, DEFINETLY, WHEEL HUB BEARRING....
ya noise is the hub bearing my girls car been noise for years now has code so will replace to take care of both FYI
Hey man thanks so much for this great video!! Would you be so kind to tell me what’s the torque for the three hub’s bolts? Thanks again!
LOOK UP A1 AUTO, THEY HAVE SOME VIDEOS DOING THE SAME THING IN SRX, HE WIL COMMENT ABOUT THE THE TORQUE....
napaonline has the torque listed if you look it up there.
I got a new bearing arrived today. Do I need a new speed/abs sensor?
If you have the same problem just the bearing should solve it.
NO.
Is a hub bearing part of the drive axle?
THANK YOU!!
So i bought the bluedriver, now im hopeing RF means right front
What kind of scan tool is that
But how did you figure out Wich one wheel had the problem
I watched until the end, I was thinking all along, why would you replace just ONE hub/bearing?!?! Should be done as a pair or better, all 4 wheels at the same time. If the sensor was out the bearings are also worn, and handling will be compromised until replacing.

Does this wheel have a brake pad and brake shoes aswell?
MY DOES. IS THE EMERGENCY BRAKE
Can I reset the stabilitrak and abs light by disconnecting battery?
MORE LIKELY, NO.
😂😂, my best fun part is u getting it of
I changed the two boxes of balls to my 2010 cadillac srx and still with the code 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Did your speed sensor get damaged in the process of braking the hub off? It seems that the sensor is not accessible to remove before getting the hub off on the 2012-16 models.
I was wondering the exact same thing after watching. I thought it sits inside the bearing???
