I think you're missing an opportunity with your past car audio experience. I think people would enjoy seeing your view on stock audio systems as well as possibly upgrading a system or two on your vehicles. I know that I've gotten to the point where the stock systems are good enough but always wondering if I can get more out of it. Just a thought for you.
Your dad is doing a great job. He might have put the mirrors a couple of Inches to far back, but if I remember my dad's old truck, they don't go as far forward as you would think. Thanks for the video.
Hi JD, another upgrade you could do is pull the seat and carpet and install sound deadening mat. It’s fairly inexpensive, could also put it on the doors behind the panels, under the headliner if there is one and behind the seat on the back wall, would help a lot in making the cab more quiet. Pretty simple to install, peal and stick.
I didn't know how much I appreciated power locks until I rented a moving truck over the weekend that didn't have them. I've become so soft, but what a pain! Like the head unit, though I'd miss the sound and tactile reaponse of the old radio buttons 😆 The new side mirrors are too far back for my taste as well, but it's your dad's truck, so he should do what he likes.
Pure awesomeness. My 73 f250 4x4 rebuild should be progressing this year. I have the fe428 cobra jet. I still need to acquire (coil spring) super duty axles. Power steering.....and the time to fabricate the brackets to hang the axles. I hope to have it completed in the next couple of years.
i have a 1984 dodge pickup it has manual locks, and while its annoying, i never thought of this. i had to take it off the road for some major repairs, but i think i might add power locks to it now. its just not something i thought about too much until just now
Nice progress on the Truck, I commented before on the bed cover because I would like to know the part number, vendor, and the brand. It would be greatly appreciated.
Looking at the pictures it appears that is where those mirrors should go, but the manufacturer should’ve put them further forward. I’m a purist when it comes to older vehicles. I’d like to see it with a camper if you can find one. Then obviously put the camper mirrors back on.
So, after asking my father why they were mounted there, he explained that the mirrors would be blocked by the window divider if they were further forward
Have 1987 F250 460 V8. About half way through restoration. Lot of work but these trucks are worth it. Good work.

Your dad has a nice truck

I need to check for sound deadening in my 97 F250 HD, it could use more.
@@kswaynes7569 Yeah, there are several different brands, the one I’ve heard the most is Dynamat Dynaliner, I think there is another called Killmat?
That's really cool!!!
That’s a nice truck! As far as I’m concerned that truck is better than a brand new truck.

Looks just fine to me. I agree the mirrors might be better a wee bit forward but it’s his choice which spot for him.
Pure awesomeness.

Those big upgrades are nice on this dentside Ford F350 camper special
Nice upgrades. The new mirrors are safer for line of sight viewing. But, I like the look of the other ones. Just a personal taste.
Awesome truck! I almost bought one I saw the other day based on your videos but my better half talked me out of it lol
A little face reveal, but I like the mods that you guys are doing love the videos!
Looks great!
The mirrors in my opinion should be centered more towards the pop out window. But each their own.

Nice way to listen to KTRH

Had to the mirrors away from the window vents.

Are those self tapping screws????
What’s up with the cardboard cutout in the background? Is that you JD?
The locks are cool however the stereo screen takes away from originality of the truck
You need to name the truck "Henry" you can't call it the F350 camper.
