Christian persecution is not God’s wrath. He keeps using these two events interchangeably. The Bible says we will face persecution just being a Christian, but we are protected from God’s wrath. The Noah and Lot argument keeps them from God’s wrath, not persecution. They had already went through persecution as faithful believers being surrounded by such evil. God gave them a way to escape his wrath.

But the tribulation is God's wrath as Christians today persecution is increasing for Christians now. When we're talking about losing a 3rd of the population 3 separate times, that wrath of God.

@@dennisdeman3514 The 70th week is not referring to the church but Jacobs people the Jews who will go through the tribulation because they still reject jesus as the messiah. God allows the Jews to go thru the tribulation to humble them and so they turn to Him and he saves them. Why would God have to humble His church who have already repented and made Jesus their Lord and savior? Then you have all Christians who come out of the tribulation and are beheaded because they refused to take the mark. But those are the ones who did not believe or commit themselves to Jesus before the tribulation began. So are we to believe that God wants all Christians to prove their loyalty to Him by being sacrificed by the antichrist when they have already done that by living their lives for Jesus and denied themselves as we are told to do. So isn't being beheaded the wrath of God done by the antichrist? So why would God pour His wrath out on His elect? God has saved me from myself and evil people of this world all my life and also allowed me to go through very hard times/tribulation, but I will never believe He will allow me to fall victim to the antichrist and the beast system after getting right with him. Is this how God blesses His people by sending them to the slaughter by the antichrist? So according to you, all Christians will go thru the rapture and be beheaded? I think not.

That is very good advice. Pre trib'ers need to study the Rev. 20:4-6 passage and find out what second death means. Hebrew 9:27 says it is appointed unto men once to die and after this the judgment. The term "second resurrection" in the Bible but there is a second death which is inferred at the end of Rev 20:11-15 but it is for those who are not part of the first resurrection. Rev 20:5 says everybody not in the first resurrection has to wait for the end of the thousand year reign. That al;one blows pre and post trib out of the water. Both of those require some kind of third resurrection. 1 Thes 4:16-17. is their stumbling block as only those who have qualified as candidates of the first resurrection are "in Christ" everybody else has to go through the "white throne judgement" to be qualified holy and able to stand before God. (see Rev. 6:9-11, 12:10-11, 14:13.) It is quite likely that the rapture debate is here to prevent people seeing that the sabbath is still viable and holy because God never sanctified Sunday or removed his sanctification of the seventh day). (see Zechariah 14:16-19 a passage that covers Jesus rule during the thousand year reign. The feast of tabernacles is an appointed sabbath just like the feast of tabernacles and first fruits {Pentecost} and weekly sabbath. During that thousand year reign the Lord will pass death penalties on those who force him in their rebellion for not keeping the feast of tabernacles. Today some teach that everyone but "Christians" are destroyed at the Lords return but that means when the devil is released from the bottomless pit in Rev 20:7-9 that the devil deceives saints to attack the Lord and God will kill Christians for their rebellion. (Isaiah 65:17-25 and chapter 66:22-24 give us an extended view ot Christs thousand year reign). Matt 5:17-18 Jesus says he came to fulfill the law and while he rules and reigns he will use the law to rule by during the thousand year reign. The earth does not disappear until the end of Christs reign and the second death judgment begins. Rev 20:11-15. The Bible does not contradict the Bible only false doctrines and misinterpretations.

@dustinpotter8312 how does any of this debunk the pretribulation rapture doctrine? We don't disagree with the events of end time, millennial reign, and eternity. It all fits for the pretrib rapture doctrine.

    • @dustinpotter8312
      @dustinpotter8312 Год назад +5

@@grandpaimtired Pretribulation rapture bases it's whole hope on a partial collection/resurrection of the saints principle where even the deceased pre-judged followers of Jesus Christ are resurrected before the full return of Jesus to take command of his throne in the millennium. Scripture, i.e., Revelation 20:4-6 is a direct contradiction of the concept. Verse 4 gives a description of those who are qualified for the ‘first resurrection” and they are people who have gone through persecution and paid for their faith to the Lord with their lives. Rev 20:5 declares it is not an all inclusive general resurrection.
Revelation 6:9 reveals there are people who have suffered likewise to those declared in Rev 20:4. Further Rev 7:9-14 reveals a huge uncounted number of saints that have had their robes whitened through persecution. Pretribulation rapture would not permit that as there is only one first resurrection.
Hebrews 9:27 says "it is appointed once unto men to die and then the judgment." Rev 20:5 restricts the number of people resurrected at the full return of Christ to being only those who qualify for the first resurrection. Only those who are "dead in Christ" belong to Christ. All others have yet to be judged as worthy or unclean and frankly not all the others who are raised to life at the end of Rev 20:11-15 will find their names in the book of life. Those who have not been judged by God to be holy do not belong to Jesus. Jesus does not resurrect un-judged uncleaned people to stand and serve in the kingdom of heaven even for the millennium. Pretribulation rapture contradicts the tenets of the process of judgment and contradicts what scripture says about the first resurrection.
First resurrection saints serve as priests and kings with Christ during his millennium reign. They do not go through the end of the world judgment, which is called the second death, because the second death has no power over them. They are called blessed and holy (Rev 20:6) from going though the ultimate sacrifice for their faith (see Rev 14:13). The saints of the first resurrection lived lives dedicated to the commandments and love of Christ. Successful defendants of the final judgment will suffer loss for their less than perfect contributions on the foundation of Christ (1 Corinthians 3:11-15) but because of having been born again and having their names still in the book of life will survive that judgment and enter the kingdom of heaven. Their rewards will have been diminished but they will still posses the gift of life. The foolish virgins of Matthew 25:1-13 will not.
Matthew 7:21 Jesus says not everyone who calls Jesus “Lord Lord” will enter the kingdom of heaven. All of those people were still in their graves while Christ ruled for that thousand years. The people judged at the end of the world include saints and sinners from Genesis 1 to the end of Revelation 20. Only those of the first resurrection are exempt from the judgment of the second death.
If pretribulation rapture contradicts scripture it can only be a doctrine to deceive and trap the peoples of the end times. The doctrine is barely two hundred years old as far as “global doctrines go.” Technically the term second resurrection does not occur in most popular translations of the English bible if any. The term of possibility for the concept is “second death.” Prospectively in a general sense even those condemned to the lake of fire and those who after judgment enter the kingdom of heaven still only experience one resurrection. Scripture does not use the term second resurrection. Resurrection by discovery is only for those who will not suffer any influence by the second death. Only until the completion of the second death judgment will those who successfully enter the kingdom of heaven be clean/pure/holy but they will be altered from what they were. No imperfect being will enter the kingdom of heaven (Revelation 21:27). All of the bad works and traits they possessed will be burned off at judgment and prospectively they do not enter the kingdom of heaven “whole” but they will enter heaven with life. Those of the first resurrection will be raised/resurrected whole because they have discarded that which offends voluntarily (See Matthew 18 or Mark 9 for Jesus talking about the concept and Rev 12 for end time application) they loved not their lives unto the death.
Notice this summary is just about the “resurrection” aspect and does not address those who are alive and remain and their “changing” at the moment Christ returns. Even so as scripture says the changing will not occur without the raising of the “dead in Christ” happening first. I hope this answers your question.

I’m the exact same way. One argument that ore tribs can’t explain to me is when Jesus said in John 6:40 “...and I will raise him up at the last day”. Ok so this is a resurrection. Revelation only mentions 2 resurrections, saints and sinners. Paul said in 1 Thessalonians 4:15 that we will not precede those who have fallen asleep but the dead in Christ will rise first. Again, that’s a resurrection. So all of that points to post trib rapture. Pre tribs have yet to counter argue that point

@@samuelhill4618 To your first point...yes...the scripture *IS* clear about the timing of the rapture, but to your *SECOND* point, I wholeheartedly disagree. To the *3rd* statement you made, yes...you're correct again, but to your *FOURTH* statement about the bible never defining tribulation as wrath, incorrect. And the *FIRST* 1/2 of your last sentence could _MAYBE_ be argued (but here again...it's how you define words), and the *LAST* portion of what you said, I will agree to~~~:)
Now, for you to state that there is *NO* supporting scripture for a pre-tribulation rapture, you must then establish just what position you're taking, *AND* provide an argument for it...I see neither from you, but I see _PLENTY_ of scripture that supports a pre-tribulation rapture. Follow me if you will...
The solitary statement of yours that we're not appointed to wrath (I Thess 5:9 I assume), lemme ask...Why would you want to tie that to probably the 2nd half of the tribulation? Isn't hell "wrath", and if so, can't it mean that believers won't be assigned to hell? The vs could certainly include both, but let's see why the *ENTIRE* tribulation is the "WRATH" of God...
Keep in mind, when you see the word *DAY* or *HOUR,* that day and hour are not used the same way we measure a day or hour, but it's used to define the *ENTIRE* seven year tribulation...
*Jer 30:7* says, "Alas! for that *DAY* is great, so that none is like it: it is even the *TIME* of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.". (The word "TIME" is also used in this verse to refer to the entire tribulation)
*Ezekiel 30:3* "For the *DAY* is near, even the *DAY* of the LORD is near, a cloudy day; it shall be the time of the heathen".
*Joel 2:1* "Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;".
In *Rev 3:10* the word *"HOUR"* is used: "Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the *HOUR* of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth."
So we know the tribulation is more than just a general "time", a mere 60 minutes, or a 24 hour time period.
Well when you look again to *Rev 3:10* you can see that the church is kept *FROM* this time/day/hour...we're not kept safe *DURING* the tribulation, but saved *OUT* of it altogether. That verse also tells us the primary focus the tribulation is for, i.e. "them that dwell upon the earth". This is not just those living on planet earth, but if you'll study that phrase out, it's used over ten times and the characteristics of "THEM THAT DWELL UPON THE EARTH" are clearly seen as unsaved people in need of salvation.
All of that should help in u/standing that the tribulation is indeed the *WRATH* of God. Again, we're not only saved from *ETERNAL* wrath, but the wrath that is poured on for the tribulation. The apostle Paul in *I Thess* is not speaking of the specific SEAL judgments that the church will be exempt from, but the wrath of the tribulation as a whole. *Rev 15:1* tells us that the wrath as a WHOLE is being completed when it says, "And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven _LAST_ plagues; for in them is filled up the *WRATH* of God".
When you see *Rev 6:17* where it says, "“For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?”, that is no different than stepping outside of your home in Vermont on Feb 3rd in sub zero weather during a blizzard and proclaiming, "Well, winter is here...that's for sure!", when it "OFFICIALLY" arrived December 21st! The phrase, *"IS HERE"* in no way means that it just THEN arrived, but it is a point of observation that it *HAS* arrived, i.e. past tense.
So yes, the rapture is *PRE* wrath, but the entire 7yr tribulation is wrath! Cheers~~~:)

I wouldn’t jump ship just yet brother. I am “pre wrath” which is a close view to “mid trib” (your previous view). There are terms in “pre trib” that create a straw man, forcing you to take their position. Pre trib infers, pre 70th week of Daniel and because they feel we are out of here prior to that time, they ASSUME all of the 70the week is “wrath”. Also, they teach that the seals are Gods wrath. Well, if there was so much wrath in the 1st half of Daniels 70th week, why didn’t Jesus mention it? In Matt 24, Jesus says the trouble on the earth gets real at the mid point (the desolation of abomination). As a matter of fact Daniel 9:27 is the only passage in the entire Bible that explicitly mentions the 1st 1/2 of Daniel’s 70th week! 2 verses nail down the timing (Phil 1:6 and 2 Thes 2:3). We are here on earth until the Day of Christ and the antichrist and the falling away happen BEFORE the day of Christ. We get out of here AFTER the desolation of Abomination! 4th horsemen is the desolation of abomination, the 5th are those how die at his hand, then the sign of the coming of the son of man (Joel 2:31 sun moon ) is show in the 6th seal, then Jews are sealed (Rev 7) and THEN the rapture (Rev 7:13-14). It is only then that the wrath of God is poured out via the Trumpets and Vial judgments. You see, perspective is key. In Matt 24 “after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give her light (same event as Joel 2:31 and Rev 6), God ends the Tribulation of those days (which is not Him ending His own wrath but rather Him stopping the persecution of believers) vs Rev 6 “those who came out of the great Trib. From God perspective, He ended the tribulation (thlipsis means persecution) for the believers on earth (via the rapture) but from Heavens perspective (receiving us), we just came out of thlipsis (tribulation).
Hope that gets ya thinking again 😊

God delivers His own before the time of wrath begins.
If some doubt is the above verse is specific to the wrath of the Tribulation Period, then Revelation 3:10 should remove any doubt, “Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.”
Before the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, Abraham asks the Lord the question, “Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?” (Genesis 18:23). The answer then was no, as God removed Lot and two of his daughters from the fiery end of those cities. We also see this principle applied with Enoch’s rapture before the flood. Noah’s family safely within the ark a week before the rain starts to fall (Genesis 5:21-24; 7:9-10, 16).

    • @cokefishtail
      @cokefishtail 3 года назад +3

Revelation’s narrative is also an indicator the rapture is before the Tribulation because of the absence of the church.
Chapters 2-3 of Revelation consists of seven letters to seven churches.
Then chapter four begins with John going through an event that is identical to the rapture. Revelation 4:1, “After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.”
There is no mention of the church again until she returns to earth as the Bride of Christ in Revelation 19. The Tribulation Period starts in Revelation 6 and runs through Revelation 19 without mention of the church. We see the two witnesses and the 144,000. We read of their followers, those saved during the Tribulation. Still, there is no mention of anyone saved before the Tribulation begins. Why? They are already gone.

I do believe that Jesus has the Best and most Truthful Response as to when Jesus Christ will return!
Jesus made it Clear with His Own Words that the Abomination of Desolation MUST take place in Jerusalem!
Jesus made it very Clear that there will be Great Tribulation in Judea when that happens and that those in Judea must then flee!
Jesus made it very Clear that the Length of that Tribulation has ben cut to a set length and it will NOT go on and on!
Jesus made it very Clear that in the Days AFTER that Tribulation has ended THEN we will see events in the Sun, Moon and Stars that have never been seen before and when Believers in Christ see those Events THEN will be the Time when Christs Return will be Near!
Jesus made it very Clear that when we see all of those Events THEN we are to Look Up and Lift up our Heads and watch and Pray and be Ready for then His COMING is near and His Coming will take place when we least expect it!
Even when we see those Events we will NOT KNOW that Exact Day or Exact Hour BUT we will KNOW that it is Near!
It may happen at Midnight or it may happen at Midday!
It may happen while we are Asleep or while we are awake!
It may happen while we are in the Shower or in the Toilet or while we are Driving kids to School!
It may happen on a Monday or a Tuesday or Wednesday or Thursday or Friday or Saturday or Sunday!
We will never ever Know that Exact Day or Exact hour BUT we will be Ready and NOT letting our House to be broken into as Jesus has commanded us!
Then When Jesus returns the Resurrection will take place!
We will be Harpazo to Meet Jesus in the Air!
      Satan will be Bound!
The Beast and False Prophet will be Thrown into the lake of Fire!
Jesus will Trample the Wine Press of His Wrath against all that are gathered against Him in the Valley of Decision!
Then and only then will Jesus touch His feet on the Ground and He will Purge His Kingdom of all things that Offend and do Iniquity and then we will Celebrate the Feast in His Kingdom and the 1000 Year Reign will begin!
What a Return that will be!

@@RaptureofSaints There are a couple of points I would ask you to consider after reading your message. When Jesus spoke of taking us in the Rapture, he said a trumpet would sound and we would be taken UP to meet him in the clouds. So Jesus does not set foot on earth for the Rapture. When he spoke about one being taken from the field and one would not, and one being taken from the bed and one would not, he was telling us this was a world-wide event because as you know when it is daytime in one part of the world it is nighttime on the other. This is because Jesus said the event (Rapture) would take place in a twinkling of an eye. I find this interesting because did people know in those days that daytime in one part of the world was night in another? I don't believe so because travel was very slow in those days, Jesus would know of course because he is supernatural. Finally when Jesus comes for the second time he comes with a great army and that army is made from the people Raptured. God Bless.

This statement was made right after the opening of the sixth seal which describes the cosmic disturbances of sun, moon and stars. The Sign of the end of this age. After this the Wrath of God is described further as starting with the 7 Trumpets and followed by (and ended by) the 7 bowls. In a nutshell, Gods wrath then appears to be the sounding of the trumpets and the pouring out of the bowls. Possibly also Armageddon at the Lords second coming. There is much more to this but perhaps this helps? Note - there is Gods Wrath, and then also the Wrath of Satan. These two are different.

I find dispensational pre-trib theology very difficult to follow. The Bible passages used to support this view are at best entirely ambiguous, which is no grounds to base a doctrine. And the 1 Thes verses say nothing about any pre-trib rapture. You have to read this view into the text, which is also what you have to do to hold the dispensationalist position re Israel etc.

The rapture is when Jesus Christ returns to remove the church (all believers in Christ) from the earth. The rapture is described in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and 1 Corinthians 15:50-54. Believers who have died will have their bodies resurrected and, along with believers who are still living, will meet the Lord in the air. This will all occur in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye. The second coming is when Jesus returns to defeat the Antichrist, destroy evil, and establish His millennial kingdom. The second coming is described in Revelation 19:11-16.
The important differences between the rapture and second coming are as follows:
      1) At the rapture, believers meet the Lord in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:17). At the second coming, believers return with the Lord to the earth (Revelation 19:14).
      2) The second coming occurs after the great and terrible tribulation (Revelation chapters 6-19). The rapture occurs before the tribulation (1 Thessalonians 5:9; Revelation 3:10).
      3) The rapture is the removal of believers from the earth as an act of deliverance (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17, 5:9). The second coming includes the removal of unbelievers as an act of judgment (Matthew 24:40-41).
      4) The rapture will be secret and instant (1 Corinthians 15:50-54). The second coming will be visible to all (Revelation 1:7; Matthew 24:29-30).
      5) The second coming of Christ will not occur until after certain other end-times events take place (2 Thessalonians 2:4; Matthew 24:15-30; Revelation chapters 6-18). The rapture is imminent; it could take place at any moment (Titus 2:13; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians 15:50-54).
Why is it important to keep the rapture and the second coming distinct?
      1) If the rapture and the second coming are the same event, believers will have to go through the tribulation (1 Thessalonians 5:9; Revelation 3:10).
      2) If the rapture and the second coming are the same event, the return of Christ is not imminent-there are many things which must occur before He can return (Matthew 24:4-30).
      3) In describing the tribulation period, Revelation chapters 6-19 nowhere mentions the church. During the tribulation-also called “the time of trouble for Jacob” (Jeremiah 30:7)-God will again turn His primary attention to Israel (Romans 11:17-31).
The rapture and second coming are similar but separate events. Both involve Jesus returning. Both are end-times events. However, it is crucially important to recognize the differences. In summary, the rapture is the return of Christ in the clouds to remove all believers from the earth before the time of God’s wrath. The second coming is the return of Christ to the earth to bring the tribulation to an end and to defeat the Antichrist and his evil world empire.

And who is the bible about Clayton? The Jews who are MOSTLY SAVED after the Rapture and are the Wheat Harvest which comes AFTER the Barley Harvest (Christian Gentiles and some Messianic Jews). So, the reason a Jewish Bible doesn't speak about the Rapture in the Old Testament is that the Jews grow together with the tares until the very end. The New Testament does speak about it to a minor degree. but Paul's Letters to the Churches were never intended to be holy writ and Canonized, if we had all of his letters to every Church we may get more details, but in many cases, we can see where Paul says, REMEMBER when I was with you I told you these things and he never fills us in, because that's much easier than explaining in detail what you have already expounded unto them in person. Paul was their Pastor, not a "Thus saith the Lord" guy per se.
So, why not DIG IN like we did and figure it out via all of Jesus' hints? Jesus came only for the Jews, so it's not really going to be in the four Gospels either, but he gave hints. Like the Judean wedding which always sees the Bride and Groom stay in the wedding chambers for 7 years. The Barley festival, the Wheat festival, and the Grape festival all have first-fruits of their own. So, anytime I hear someone say SEE, the 144,000 are the First-fruits, Yes, of the Wheat Harvest, not the Barley Harvest.

Thank you so much for having this interview, and giving me another argument against the Pre-Trib Rapture 🤣!
Jimmy kept comparing the Rapture to the days of Lot and Noah, but then stated that during the Final 7 Years before the Second Coming, people would still have the opportunity to accept Christ and become believers.
However, when God’s judgment fell on the Earth 🌍 during Noah’s day, and also when it fell on Sodom & Gomorrah during Lot’s day, there was no ability for unbelievers to be saved during that time. Their opportunity to repent was before God casted His judgment.
The Pre-Trib Rapture position simply doesn’t hold any water when held up against Luke 17 & Matthew 24.

Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, modern Dispensational Theology falls apart, and the pretrib removal of the Church falls with it.
The Capitol "C" Church, as we use the word today, is not found in the entire Book of Revelation. Individual church bodies in ancient Asia Minor are found. In Revelation 12:11 we find those under the blood of the Lamb. A person cannot be under the blood of the Lamb and not be a part of the New Covenant Church of Jesus Christ. Verse 12 of this passage proves at least part of the tribulation period is the wrath of Satan upon the people of God.
Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Rev 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
"It may come as a surprise to most pre-Trib prophecy students that the post-Trib position (in its primitive form) is the oldest point of view."
The quotation above is from the book "Will You Escape The Tribulation? RAPTURE [Under Attack]", by Tim LaHaye, copyright 1998, Page 197.
The gathering of the Church is described at the end of 1 Thess. Chapter 4, and the timing of the event is found in chapter 5. The word “But” in the first verse of chapter 5 connects the two chapters, and the words “we” and “sleep” in verse 10 of chapter 5 prove the two chapters are connected.

Olivet Timing Revealed by Luke’s Gospel:
Compare Luke's Gospel to that of Matthew if you want to understand the timing.
Jesus Foretells Destruction of the Temple (These subtitles are found in e-Sword.)
Luk 21:5 Then, as some spoke of the temple, how it was adorned with beautiful stones and donations, He said,
Luk 21:6 "These things which you see-the days will come in which not one stone shall be left upon another that shall not be thrown down."
(Mat 24:2 And Jesus said to them, "Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down." )
Luk 21:7 So they asked Him, saying, "Teacher, but when will these things be? And what sign will there be when these things are about to take place?"
(Mat 24:3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?")
( Mar 13:3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked Him privately,
Mar 13:4 "Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign when all these things will be fulfilled?")
Luk 21:8 And He said: "Take heed that you not be deceived. For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am He,' and, 'The time has drawn near.' Therefore do not go after them.
(Mat 24:5 For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many. )
Luk 21:9 But when you hear of wars and commotions, do not be terrified; for these things must come to pass first, but the end will not come immediately."
(Mat 24:6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.)
      Jesus Foretells Wars and Persecution
Luk 21:10 Then He said to them, "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.
(Mat 24:7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. )
Luk 21:11 And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.
(Mat 24:7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. )
Luk 21:12 But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons. You will be brought before kings and rulers for My name's sake.
(Mat 24:9 "Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake.) (Read Acts 22:19-20, where Paul reveals that he fulfilled this text.)
Luk 21:13 But it will turn out for you as an occasion for testimony.
      Luk 21:14  Therefore settle it in your hearts not to meditate beforehand on what you will answer;
Luk 21:15 for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist.
Luk 21:16 You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers, relatives and friends; and they will put some of you to death.
Luk 21:17 And you will be hated by all for My name's sake.
(Mat 24:10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. )
Luk 21:18 But not a hair of your head shall be lost.
Luk 21:19 By your patience possess your souls.
(Mat 24:13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved.)
      Jesus Foretells Destruction of Jerusalem
Luk 21:20 "But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. (See also Luke 19:41-44)
(Mat 24:15 "Therefore when you see the 'ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place" (whoever reads, let him understand),
Luk 21:21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her.
(Mat 24:16 "then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.)
Luk 21:22 For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
Luk 21:23 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people.
(Mat 24:19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! ) (See Luke 23:27-31 where Jesus warned the women weeping for Him.)
Luk 21:24 And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
(Almost all Bible scholars agree that the first part of the verse above is about 70 AD. At the end of the verse we find a period of time known as “the times of the Gentiles”. In the verses that follow we find the future Second Coming of Christ.)
The Coming of the Son of Man
      Luk 21:25  "And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring;
(Mat 24:29 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.)
Luk 21:26 men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
Luk 21:27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
(Mat 24:30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.)
Luk 21:28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near."
(Mat 24:33 So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near-at the doors!)

I'm a born-again Christian as of June 18th last year and prior to being renewed in Christ I believed the universe would continue on to the heat death of the universe. I had no eschatological pony in the race so to speak. I came to a pretribulation rapture view simply by reading Scripture and looking at the feast, harvest, wedding, and Moedim models that we see emphasized in the Bible. The problem I think for most is that they don't see that there are actually several things going on in the end times. There are four different harvests in view: The Barley harvest, which is threshed by the wind (the Holy Spirit - the rapture of the church), the Wheat harvest, which is threshed by the tribulum board (the Tribulation - tribulation saints), and the grape harvest which is the winepress of the wrath of God, and the gleaning of the harvest which is the remnant of Israel. The High Priest (Jesus Christ) gathers the firstfruits of the harvest (a small selection) at the beginning of the harvest. Then the field workers (the angels) go in and collect the rest of the harvest later.
I think a good comparison for those who deny the pretribulation rapture is that they are like the Jews at Christ's First Coming who weren't able to discern between the details and patterns/types in Scripture that the Messiah would have two major interventions in history. They oversimplified things and assumed that the Messiah would suffer but then rule all in one consecutive unbroken season. They would have mocked the idea that the Messiah would come to suffer first then later come again to rule. The thing is, I can totally see how they would come to this conclusion based on an unsophisticated reading of Scripture. However, it's the small details, patterns, and types that we have to pay attention to in order to clue us into what is really being described.

@@matthewbennier7476 This is exactly my point when I say the pretribulation rapture must be learned or taught from an outside source such as the C.I. Scofield Bible which practically equated the commentary with scripture or people who have been advocates of the pretrib view for decades such as Perry Stone and others.
You mentioned things like the feast harvests and Jewish weddings etc. These are the very classical textbook arguments which must be taught to you by people who ascribe to a pretrib view not the word. I'm also speaking from my own experience as I began my walk as a pretribulationist. I maintained that position for many years.
I heard the same arguments. They have been around for longer than you and I have been born again. Certainly longer than a year. Those arguments you presented do not originate with you because they already existed. They are the standard classical pretrib arguments.
I've heard the explanation of tribulum boards used by ppl like Perry Stone. At the end of the day it's good to learn but it has no bearing on the timing of the rapture. I would ask you to consider carefully from scripture that it actually teaches that tribulation is NOT God's wrath. You would have to disregard all you have been taught to understand this. I guarantee you if you search you will find it. The blinder is that you have been trained to believe that you won't be here for the great tribulation. To you it is God's wrath. Scripture demonstrates otherwise. I sincerely hope you will look into it.

Let's go straight to Scripture and see if we see an indication for at least some (not all) of the church being taken out of the Tribulation.
"Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to ESCAPE all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man." - Luke 21:36
Here we're called to pray to be found worthy to ESCAPE, not ENDURE through all the events of the end times Jesus described.
We also see Jesus promise to those in the Church of Philadelphia (a profile of the church) that they will be spared from the Tribulation through the use of a common description of it as being the temptation that comes on ALL the earth.
"Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth." - Revelation 3:10
We can also see that Jesus' description of those who are taken given by Jesus painting a picture of a seemingly normal existence. If we go into the Tribulation the Lord's final coming won't be a mystery and won't come upon us as a surprise. There are definitive markers described in Daniel and Revelation that have to occur and we could easily calculate the occurrence of events one the beginning of sacrifices start again in Jerusalem. What Jesus describes is a bunch of people in a state without anticipation. Jesus also says that the people will be marrying and be given in marriage at the time that they're taken, which is virtually impossible to imagine during the Tribulation when 90% of the Earth's population will have been eliminated. It'll be like the days of Noah - a surprise to the world.
Also, the wedding patterns and feasts are not strictly extrabiblical. Just look at the last supper with the Apostles. Jesus speaks using clear wedding language and allusions to understood Jewish wedding traditions of the time.
I'm sorry you've lost the promise of the Blessed Hope of Jesus' return for His bride. We should also test all spirits. I've noticed that there is a spirit of putting trust in the means by, which we have to endure the Tribulation among those who subscribe to the post tribulation rapture perspective. They're prepping, they're spending time at the gun-range, they're making survival plans (all works of the flesh). However, among those who believe in the pretribulation rapture of the church I see a spirit of complete faith and reliance on God.
We get so many clues as to where our salvation comes from. Here's a less known one but maybe something to help you consider the way God may guide us in His word. The Book of Psalms is 19 books to its end into the Bible and it's 48 books from the end. In the structure of the Bible itself we are drawn to the significance of 1948 and the replanting of the Fig Tree, which occurred in the 20th century (the 1900's). Many people don't realize this, but each Psalm correlates to a year from 1901 onward. Sometimes they're simply flavor text or allude to potentially non-obvious individuals such as Stalin but there is definitely a mapping once you realize this.
I suggest you check out Psalm 120, which corresponds with 2020 (1900+120=2020). I'll let you decide if the Psalm is spiritually describing 2020. Next read Psalm 121, which corresponds with 2021. Pay careful attention to the last line. This is in the collection of Psalms known as the Songs of the Ascents, yet it is the only Song of this collection that is called the Song TO the Ascent.
2028 is 2000 years from Jesus Christ' crucifixion in 28 A.D. and 80 years from the reestablishment of Israel in 1948. Moses was 80 years old when he returned to Egypt to free the Israelites. It was 80 years from the decree given to rebuild to the actual rebuilding of Aliyah. 80 Year until the end of the reign of David the true annointed King of Israel. Jesus arrived 80 Jubilees into God's plan (4000/50 = 80). We know from Hosea, the parable of the Good Samaritan, and the story of the Samaritan woman that the church age is supposed to be exactly 2,000 years.
2021 is 7 years prior to 2028. We even have a big clue in the last passage of the ENTIRE BIBLE:
20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
I don't say this dogmatically or with prophetic authority, but I have mountains of evidence indicating that this is the year of the rapture and the beginning of The Tribulation. I personally believe it may coincide with Feast of Trumpets in October (not September).

@@matthewbennier7476 I give you a thumbs up for how much you have taken in about all of the pretrib rapture teachings in just a year.
I have been there and I can tell you love eschatology. Me too.
Still all of your points have been used by pretribulationists over and over again. Let me point a few out:
Luke 21: 36 "Pray that you may be accounted worthy to escape".
Have you compared this chapter with Matthew 24? In Matthew the word escape isnt used...but "flee" is. "Flee and Escape" are express synonyms. its the same account Luke is speaking of except in Matthew they "flee to the mountains". This is the context for both accounts. This is not a rapture event. Its a warning to escape from Judea.
Rev 3:10 "I will keep you from the hour of trial".
The church at Philadelphia whom he said that to was just 1 of 7 "churches" Jesus addressed. What then do you do with Rev 2:10 and Smyrna who is also "the church"? They are warned of martyrdom by our Lord himself. They lived and died 2000 years ago. The promise to the church at that time has come to pass for them long ago. Seven out of Seven of those Churches were all told the same thing: Endure. Persevere. That includes the church at Philadelphia...And this is what the church must always do. Those attributes are not reflections of pretribulationism or escapism.
Tribulation does not equate to a rapture. It never has. A rapture is assumed into the mind of a pretribulationist wherever they read of tribulation in scripture. The earths population is in tact during tribulation. Including believers. There will be no alarms or vanishings of believers to trigger the world. As you correctly pointed out they will be marrying and giving in marriage. Business as usual cause believers are still present with the world. Believers are the source of Tribulation. We are the objects of it. You cannot have Tribulation without believers. Tribulation is the wicked world applying pressure to believers because of their faith, even to death. Gods wrath is applied to the wicked as a result.
You have all the classic arguments of a pretribulationist. Im positive you learned much of this from people and places outside of scripture. Your hitting on too many classic pretrib arguments for it to be a coincidence of scripture. Case in point, you mentioned "the church age". The pretrib logic there is that God does not work with the church and Israel at the same time. This is convenient for the pretrib view because now they can find scriptures like Matthew 24 where tons of tribulation is present and say its not talking about the church. Its only for the Jews. Its ironic how Luke 21 is the same discourse as Matthew 24 but they apply Luke 21:36 to the church then pass off the tribulation of Matthew 24 to the Jews. As I said, its convenient but nothing more. If God stopped dealing with Isreal you couldnt explain how he gathered Israel back to the land he promised them and also made them a nation during the church age. Fact is God deals with both. He always has and he always will.
The blessed hope has nothing to do with any timing of the rapture. True believers dont lose their blessed hope because of a view they take on the rapture. It doesn't matter if your pre, mid, post. If you are a true believer standing firm and faithful in tribulation is what matters. So whether we live or die even before that time comes...if we see the rapture or not we will participate in the resurrection and be with the Lord. This is our great blessed hope.
Lastly, Id like to point out that you should NEVER make dates. Its a very bad idea. I can confidently say you will only be letting yourself down. Being wrong has a tendency to expose a lack knowledge and by setting dates we can just mark that exposure on our calendars.

Preparing for persecution… as always… not prefered although not entitled… the rain came after God shut the door …then the wrath… the wrath begins after the 7 th seal…before that is the 6 seals (the beginning of sorrows, which lines are perfectly with the birth pins that are described in Matthew 24) it’s very presumptuous to assume the six seals are God‘s wrath. It is persecution of man and wars, famine, and pestilence. It is not God‘s wrath that’s explicitly clear and scripture.

The man that was with us was no longer right with us but was absorbed by the video. Suddenly the sky was red red and we turned quickly to see the sun that was high in the sky over the water .It was so red and literally falling down sooooooo fast like nothing I can imagine. I said what just happened !Within moments it was getting dark the water was no longer calm then we were frantically worried and calling my grandchildren telling them to meet us where we were earlier .The 8 year old said ok but sounded doubtful .The waves were slamming up on the rocks already getting huge. I said there is going to be a Tsunami .And the worst part I knew this was everywhere and no where to go .I wanted to pray but had the impression it was too late and we were not where we are supposed to be with God . Yes, the whole letter is John's spiritual vision, but you also need to understand the 50,000 ft view of Revelation and the progression of the book. First it discusses Jesus (chapter 1), then the letters to the churches (chapters 2 & 3, which represents the church age), then the throne room of God (chapter 4, which represents the church in the presence of God - obviously raptured up prior to the tribulation), then the tribulation begins (chapters 5 - 19).

I only watched about 20 minutes of this video but I couldn't help but wonder why Jimmy Evans did not mention any scripture that plainly teaches there will be a pre trib rapture when he was asked what his go-to verses were. He just went on about OT stuff that has nothing really to do with a rapture. He did however, mention there would be a rapture after the tribulation as stated in Matt 24 where it is stated that immediately after the tribulation, Jesus would gather his elect from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens.
So Mr Evans acknowledges that there is a post trib rapture but he gives no scriptural reference stating that there will be a pre trib rapture. Even though I didn't watch the whole interview, I would think that if he had a verse that puts the rapture before the tribulation, he would have shared it in the go-to verses. (to me, go-to verses are the best you have to make your case)

You state that the trumpets/wrath of God all happen after the return of Christ and not in the tribulation period.
Therefore you say the worst tribulation the world has ever seen will be after the 7 year tribulation period. Jesus describes the tribulation immediately preceding his return like this: "For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now-and never to be equaled again." Matt 24:21 NIV
So the events of Revelation cannot follow his return and be worse than what Jesus said would happen in the tribulation before his return because he said that distress would never be equaled again.

As someone who was taught mid-trib as a young Christian (I've since become convinced it's pre-trib), you must understand that those who take a mid-trib position have a reason behind it. They believe Christians MUST endure danger, persecution and hardships in order to strengthen their faith, cause them to take their faith more seriously, by which they will gain crowns. Mid-trib people have a valid concern that pre-trib is too easy, believers won't suffer to enrich their faith, they will lose opportunities for crowns and it's all about "escaping". That's why they will call pre-trib a "false teaching". However, this view is VERY American or "Western" in nature. What about Christians in India, North Korea, Sudan and Nigeria? Christians in Haiti, Pakistan or Turkey? You see, they have suffered enough and are certainly very eager for the return of their precious Christ they have sacrificed MUCH for. True, we lead comfortable lives in the US, Canada, England, and Australia. But anyone who thinks they just need to kick back and put their feet up and wait for Christ in their easy chair isn't listening to scripture at all! Paul emphatically tells believers---if you know then that His return is SOON, what manner of life will you live? You must live in holiness and righteousness and be sharing the Gospel with others. (paraphrase). Jesus is also looking for believers who "Love His appearing" (2 Tim 4:8) There's nothing wrong with being so sick of this world that you long to be with Christ...to finally see Him face to face and to be rid of your sinful flesh and receive your eternal body. As for me, I can hardly sleep at night! Please be patient and do not let a wedge come between you and a fellow believer with a different view. Try to understand where they are coming from, why they think their view is the right one and try to give a persuasive argument for pre-trib if they are open. But don't get into a fight, ok? As the song goes-- "His return is very soon so you better be believin' that our God is an Awesome God!"

Great show. I love all things that confirm my belief that we will be taken away before the Trib. What amazes me is the amount of people who almost come to blows arguing about this. People of God should not argue about their faith. I always look for the motives and this is my belief, the only people who want to ward off the tribulation are those that serve or are influenced by Satan. To do this Satan must influence some people that we will all be subjected to the wrath, he believes that by telling people this, not only will it undermine their moral but also they will somehow fight the coming of what is inevitable because God will not come for us until each and every one of us written in his book are ready. The belief that he will save us from wrath tends to put people on guard to make them ready for him. Satan does not want that.
Jesus will not allow those faithful to God to be subject to his wrath because that is saved for those who are left. Those who are evil, selfish and who disobey God. Its very simple, God does not over complicate things, he leaves that to Satan. That is the God we worship, love and obey. He is everything.
Satan knows and understands the scriptures better than any human does that is why he is so good at scrambling the meanings, it pleases him no end when people argue over the words of God. Trust your heart. God loves us there is no doubt to that fact. He gave his one and only son to be sacrificed to save us. So bad was the torture of his son that even God had to turn away from it.

Brenda Sorel, many people believe in a post-trib Rapture because they were shown how it’s clearly taught in Matt 24:29-31, but the pre-trib has to be pieced together and often from vague passages like the metaphorical eagles gathering when Jesus appears like lightning. Ironically, these facts prove that a post-trib Rapture is impossible because the Rapture was a hidden mystery of God before the Holy Spirit began revealing it thru Paul, and God hides mysteries in plain sight using things like parables and metaphors before revealing them thru his servants using plain language.
In other words, the fact that Jesus taught Matt 24:29-31 using clear language during the time when the Rapture was still a hidden mystery, he could not have been talking about the Rapture here. This proves the Rapture cannot happen “After the tribulation of those days..” at his Second Coming.

Each one of these is mentioned by Jesus then reiterated by Paul: temple desecrated, false prophets, future end time distress, birth pangs, lawlessness, apostasy, the parousia, coming on the clouds, trumpet for gathering, gathering, unknown times and seasons, unexpected destruction for the wicked, coming like a thief in the night, stay alert, the ungodly asleep.

My husband feels it's a middle tribulation rapture. He has read that God had promised to protect us from his wrath. Reading Rev 15:1 it says the 7 vials are the last plagues and are filled with the wrath of God - further in Daniel 12:11 it indicates from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away and the abomination that makes desolate shall be 1,290 days to the end. The Anti-Christ is the one who ends the daily sacrifice and performs the abomination that makes desolate. That time is early in the anti-christ reign (middle of 2520 (7 - 360 day years is 1260 - 1290 is 30 days before the middle tribulation). Main point that leads me to believe it's Mid-Trib is the only thing God has said that is he will protect believers from his wrath which comes in in Rev15 and 16. To my husband the points that are being used as Pre-Trib rapture are kinda vague in their application towards the rapture.

Jesus said there where would be certain events occuring before hand in Matt 24, Paul said the antichrist and the falling away would occur first in 2nd Thessalonians 2. What we do know with out a doubt that His coming will visible to the whole earth. It will not be a secret. There will be cosmic events, the whole earth will mourn. The saints that are beheaded during the tribulation and those who have not worship per the beast will rule and reign for a thousand years. Rev 20
And I saw thrones and they that sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them. And I saw the souls of them that had been beheaded for the witness of Jesus and for the Word of God, and who had not worshiped the beast, nor his image, nor had received his mark upon their foreheads or on their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years

To use Revelation 4 as a rapture verse is irresponsible.
Once John gets to heaven... he sees a scroll but nobody is present who can open it. Nobody in heaven or on earth is found who can open it.
THEN, the lion of the tribe of Judah overcomes....
It is clear that this is a vision, not the rapture. Jesus isn't even present in the beginning of the vision, yet, "the Lord himself" will rapture the Church, he and his angels.

I'm so grateful for Remnant Radio! I'm actually mid-trib with a pause in the middle, which I don't think anyone else is! I've been studying Revelation deeply for a year, and I know many have studied much longer and much harder than I have, but I feel like the Lord has revealed things to me that make the entirety of the Word of God sync together like it absolutely never has before, all around Revelation. Such good stuff.
I'm attempting to write a book, and your emphasis (and Greg Keener's and Michael Brown's emphasis) on 2 Thes 1:5-10 is crucial! Thank you. I may be sticking my pre-trib/post-trib arguments in an appendix at the end because there is so very much to stuff into one book, but that passage will be covered quite thoroughly and explicitly because I recognize that it is really good evidence against the pre- and even mid-trib view - unless there is an actual appearing and revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ for all the world to see at the first rapture, that is! And so that's what I must prove with the Word. And I can do that!
Proving the bit about staying through the tribulation and the pause, though, when God has not destined us for wrath, that's going to be harder to nail down in a conclusive way. I do believe and will argue that there is a huge difference between destining us for wrath and allowing us to experience wrath. And of course, through much tribulation must we enter the kingdom of heaven.

Here's why I cannot get behind the argument: because Luke 17 has a parallel passage in Matthew 24 which is much more clearly speaking of the coming of the son of man in judgment (second coming), this passage cannot be speaking of a tribulation. He made too big of a deal out of the "eating and drinking" analogy from Noah and Lot, when the main point wasn't that people were chilling, but that the judgement came and Noah's family was rescued. The judgment in Luke 17 is associated with the coming of the son of man. So the rapture and the second coming are the exact same thing. This is what happens when you presuppose tribulation and dispensational premillenialism.

    • @biblehistoryscience3530
      @biblehistoryscience3530 4 года назад

Ify Nsoha, the escape in the days of Noah represents how the church will be raptured when the world seems to be going along normally. As Noah moved to safety and the door was closed, the church will be moved to safety and the door of heaven will be closed, and in both cases this is followed by a long period of destruction on the other side of the door.
Regarding the metaphors of Jesus appearing like lightning when eagles take one person away from their home or workplace while another beside them is left behind, I’ve never heard any teacher who claims that this is about Armageddon explain why marked people and saints are marrying, and sleeping and working together during the time when saints are under a global death sentence. It makes no sense to me that, while saints will be under such pressure that many will betray brothers and sisters for execution, they will still be living and working with marked people right thru the great tribulation and Bowls of God’s. Can you explain this?

    • @Iffmeister
      @Iffmeister 4 года назад +1

@@biblehistoryscience3530 no, it's presupposing the tribulation into the text. Here's why - the POINT of the text isn't that life will be going normally and then the church will be raptured while the earth is in trial. That's actually a very wrong way to read it because a person is imposing the "marrying and giving in marriage" and "eating and drinking" onto the days before the rapture. That's not Jesus point. The point is that like the wicked were taken (judged/destroyed) by the flood, so the church will be rescued from the flood.
But what IS the flood? Matthew 24 and Luke 17 are parallel passages. The flood in Matthew 24 is the coming of the son of man, the second coming.
If you think Luke 17 is about the tribulation, here's the problem - during the tribulation people are still on the earth. During the flood NO ONE was on the Earth besides Noah's family. The others were DEAD, not suffering for seven years. So clearly you cannot read into one everything that is true about the other. The ones taken are the judged, just like the ones taken by the flood are the ones who died. The ones left are the saved, just like the ones left in Noah's day were his family. Dispensational premillenialism is a wrong way to read scripture.
First, read every passage where Jesus speaks of this age and the age to come, and write down what is true about this age and what is true about the age to come. You'll realize something pretty shocking.
      Second,
Read every single passage about the second coming of Christ and what happens. Write that down.
Then think - if a rapture, seven year tribulation, the second coming, then a millennium with death and rebellion and sinners being alive still happening AFTER Jesus has returned is what the pre trib rapture view holds, and the Bible says there are two ages (the one now and the one to come) and that Jesus comes and brings the new creation at his coming, then the pre trib rapture view must be very, very false.

    • @biblehistoryscience3530
      @biblehistoryscience3530 4 года назад +1

@@Iffmeister, Jesus said it would be like the days of Noah with people marrying and giving in marriage before Noah and his family moved to safety, and people didn’t understand until the Flood came. Then he described what this represented in the future when people sleeping and working together then one is taken and another beside them is left behind.
All I have done is to observe the very details that Jesus used and then noted that people marrying and giving in marriage, sleeping and working together, while being oblivious to an imminent calamity obviously describes normality before disaster, or as Paul taught while explaining about the Rapture, the world will say peace and safety and then fall into the sudden destruction of the great tribulation.
On the other hand, you expounded on what Jesus said to add new details then came to a conclusion based on your own details. For example, you said the following:
“If you think Luke 17 is about the tribulation, here's the problem - during the tribulation people are still on the earth. During the flood NO ONE was on the Earth besides Noah's family. The others were DEAD, not suffering for seven years.”
But the contrast that few people were on earth after the Flood while many people will be on the earth and will be suffering at the end of the great tribulation was not even hinted at by Jesus, so it doesn’t have anything to do with anything. You were reading into the text while falsely claiming that I was. And you ignored my question about the fact that saints will not be sleeping and working with wicked people who took the mark of the beast and who hate and kill saints. The eagle metaphor clearly represents the rapture before the great tribulation not the second coming after it ends and God’s wrath is poured out.
You said “The ones taken are the judged, just like the ones taken by the flood are the ones who died.”
The ones swept away in the days of Noah were being judged, but the ones left behind in the days of Lot were being judged, and teachers who claim that one example unlocks the metaphor of the eagles never give the reason why they chose days of Noah over the days of Lot (nor why the wheat are sleeping with the tares). Clearly, Jesus didn’t mean either of these similes to unlock the metaphor, so those teachers made up that connection to explain away the fact that the eagle metaphor sounds like the Rapture rescue.
You said “First, read every passage where Jesus speaks of this age and the age to come…”
I suggest that you re-read these scriptures, but this time keep in mind the fact that the Rapture was a hidden mystery of God during Jesus’ ministry, and God hides mysteries in plain sight using the veiled language of things like parables and metaphor before he reveals their meaning, so Jesus never taught about the Rapture using clear language. And understand that the Holy Spirit began revealing the Rapture mystery thru Paul who then taught it using clear language. Only then can you understand when Jesus could not have been teaching about the Rapture (like in Matt 24:29-31), and when he may have been (and in fact was in Matt 24:32-51, 25:1-13, and Luke 17:26-37).
