If the Gov is REALLY serious about making Sg "car-lite", and not just use it as another lame "catchphrase", then they should do more to promote and encourage cycling AND make Singapore a truly "cycling nation" instead of just a couple of HDB estates as "cycling towns."
Obviously people on top are not serious about it. 🤦♀
It's true that cycling as one of the major green transportation brings cpmmunity closer together, especially when we are sharing the same topic of interest, exchanging opinions oh why and how we set up our bikes. I myself usually bike for commuting more than recreational purposes, so I do not dressed up in cyclist attire, and hence tended to try fat saddle and tip-less one. I wonder how many or any bike commuters is trying these types of saddle too.
I'm a commuter too. I find it silly if a cyclist don't reallt make full use of their expensive gear daily and only cycle on weekends for fun
Each bike, each route, each group has a different flow. When you put in just the right amount of energy everything becomes easier and effortless and then you feel the flow. For example with speed, on a good bike when gradually speed up, there will come a point where you both hear and feel a whooshing as you feel propelled forwards. That’s quite therapeutic right there
I ride an Aceoffix, so not a road bike, although I do ride on the roads. And yeah, there are so many reasons why one could get into the cycling culture. I love singing along to a great playlist. I love it when people compliment me on how nice my "second wife" looks (matching colour for many parts!) and that feeling of accomplishing a long ride is wonderful. Heh, only other cyclists will be able to relate!
I was working in Singapore and I hiked a lot (no one belived it at home :-) ), I hope I can try cycling somehow next time...

Sadly, most people - especially drivers - view SG cyclists as pests ... and the useless authorities ain't doing nothing about it.

Agreed. These views, often expressed openly on social platforms, are dangerous. They desensitize the public to violence against cyclist. I urge the authorities to do more.
Try cycling in this formation at peak hour on main roads and see what happens. Be realistic guys, the rules allow does not mean you do this kind of formation on any road any time. Use some common sense and ride safely base on situation and do not think we are entitled since the rule said so. We only live once!

Autism is a spectrum, he could be having a milder form of it, just because someone doesn't fit the mould of how you think autism should look like doesn't mean they don't have it or are dishonest about it.
You NT people with your ignorant attitudes are exactly why people with autism have a harder time in the world. Not every person is non-verbal or like Rainman the movie. I’m autistic (diagnosed) and held director positions. Do better, be better - educate yourselves.
