My injectors were changed at 140k and for 200km the knock had gone. When it returned it was checked out by Toyota who said it was normal. Anyway, 15k later, the engine still sounds like a bucket of nails but really I don't think I can complain about anything else. The computer says I'm achieving 8.6 ltrs per 100km which is much better than 9.8 ltrs per 100km when I bought it. No smoke, starts quickly and never misses a beat. Is this just hot 3.0l D4D engines sound?
