    ..i like the S hook on the end with the chisel cut of the rake. not to slight the twist on the handle end by no means. Well done sir...!

    I made a fire poker in 1981 from 3/8” square stock, my friends were heating and splitting the end to make a 90* hook. I bent a 5” full piece ground a point on one side and welded it to the pointed end on the straight length and sanded it so it looked nice. Teacher gave me crap about going overboard on the hook, but I can walk out into my garage. Take my poker that’s almost 41 years old and smash it into a tree and it won’t bend or break. I twisted the middle section, 6” , and put a round end for a handle.
