My Greek wife and I visited Athens...2017 ..His singing was awesome. Ageion Airlines had such cheap flights! We walked up these steps.. together. NEVER TO FORGET! then we returned to the Hydra Harbour. Then we slept at the steps before getting on the ship.

I often watch different videos of Leonard Cohen in Greece; this is the first time I have come across this one. I looked up his Australian hosts and became fascinated; today I ordered Peel me a Lotus from Barnes and Noble. .btw, the Lotus flower has always been my, one might say, my spirit flower. I have if as my cell phone.

As for the letter written by both of them, it could be a coup de theater. is the wonderful song that is forever.
He liked the simple carefree life, and at his house up on the hill, a quiet place to work - he learnt Greek and began carrying the 'komboloi' (Greek worry beads) like many the local men.

Please...it's pronounced correctly, "eethra".
Even "eedra" will get you closer than what you were saying.
