All the dogs in this video just looked like Pomeranians to me. Which one was the German Spitz ?

This is somewhat inaccurate. Yes, the first "Poms" were from Pomerania which lies at the border of Germany and Poland. They were likely just German Spitz with a particular breeding program. The small dosg that Queen Victoria obtained from Italy were NOT Pomeranians nor German Spitz but rather the Italian Spitz commonly known as the Volpinio Italiano. Volpino as in little fox or fox-like. These 9-12 lb dogs were referred to by Queen Victoria as "Toy Pomeranians." So the effort to reduce the size of the Pomeranians not only was a breeding program but introduced the Volpino to help reduce the size quickly. This fast track to shrinking the Poms is likely why "throwbacks" occur with such frequency. Let's add to this the other group - American Eskimo. These dogs were German Spitz with the white fur pattern selection for breeding. The Eskimo too was bred down to provide the toy and miniature. The latter two likely had Pomeranians and Volpino add to the program to also quickly reduce size while the standard size most likely did not. Anyone can look up here on RUclips the Volpino. It is a rare breed now with maybe 5000 thousand total globally. I hope the maker of the video updates it.

That's an absurd. Pomerania is a German territory and basically it is the same as German Spitz. There are different kind of Spitz dogs. The same as the people

TBH, if you want a male, get a Spitz. If you want a female, get a pom.
      Their temperaments are perfect
Male poms are just dicks and show very little affection
Female Spitz don't really have the powerful, dominant personality of male Spitz and they're kinda boring
