First you have to fight his Dragon form after which you have to battle him on 3 different levels... also not to mention there are four on your team including you going agaisnt him. There is no way you can take on Corypheus by yourself, it is impossible. His HP and ATK DMG is way to high, you would probably fall on the first level of battle against him.. All and all, I thought it was a good finishing battle against Corypheus!
If you ever played Dragon Age 2: Legacy you know he was a real bitch for Hawke to fight. I had mage Hawke and Anders scrambling for a good 30+ minutes trying very hard to die, after the rest of my party wiped, and I had to keep throwing potions at Anders so he could heal Hawke and was wearing an amulet that would rez me when I died, or else I wouldn't have been able to complete the battle. Compared to fighting him in that DLC, fighting him in Inquisition was a piece of cake.
I like the pause in the ‘You’ll get nothing from me’ line. Think about it, your Inquisitor has fought through demons, rogue Templars and mages, the undead, and even a dragon and the Red Templars (or Venatori if you did Champions of the Just). This is where we see them being genuinely afraid, even if it’s not overt.
Playing Inquisition for the first time here: i reached this very part last night and while Corypheus was talking the whole time i was thinking to myself " You know this is going to end with my Qunari ripping your god damn head off right?"
at this point i'd said i would sacrifice myself to give the rest the time to escape- I am a Dalish Elf. So imagine my surprise when Corypheus grabs my wrist and lifts me to his face and i see how much BIGGER THAN ME he really is....and imagine my annoyance at the game not giving me the option to kick him in the face cause he's literally holding me in the perfect position to do so. wouldn't have made him even flinch likely but definitely woulda made me feel good~

Idk the exact quotes but when coryfingers says "no longer will we beg at the feet of the invisible" and "[ascend to godhood and] correct this blighted world." Thats referring to the desire to become akin to the maker. And when the original tevinter magisters went to the Golden/black city and the throne was empty, they turned to worshipping dragons because dragons were the one force that surpassed the false maker. The Dragons were real, corporeal, physical - could be heard and felt but never killed, but the magisters proved the Maker didnt exist. People in Tevinter were suffering and coryphallus could fulfill their prayers. If da4 really is set in tevinter, we gotta get more info about human religion in thedas, especially since Tevinters religion and interaction with the Elven pantheon is so vague, as opposed to the elaboration on elven gods in Trespasser *edited for line breaks*
Lo Robert I agree, Dragon Age Origins (DAO) was the best Dragon Age game to hit the console ever.. but Dragon Age Inquisition (DAI) is not far behind, it atleast beats (DA2) by a long shot.

Example: Corypheus didn't know Jesus because he lived in BC (before christ) and he was lost in the veil for a 1000 years, so Corypheus never knew Justinia's so called Maker. Alot can happen over 1000 years..

Though I Honestly think the old gods ARE the Evanuris and fooled the Magisters into going into the Black City(which is I believe really Arlathan) to be corrupted by the taint and bring it back to the material world so Darkspawn could be created to seek out the old god dragons to destroy the world as a bid for revenge for what was done to them. I believe the old gods are the physical avatars of the Evanuris and Solas buried them deep underground.
Now, I've only ever encountered Corypheus in fanfiction. My computer absolutely cannot run Inquisition, but I still like the story best, so I've taken in as much fanwork for it as I can. This is my first time actually seeing the guy. He did not live up to the hype. Them's some big shoulderpads for your skinny-ass arms to fill, old man!
just to let everyone know, it doesn't matter what race/origin or faction your character is in the game, this cut-scene when you first meet corypheus will always be the same dialog. I know this because i have played this entire game 4 times with different race/orgin

I read somewhere you could download extra voice packs for the female and male Inquisitors.. Im just not sure if you have to pay for them now. Bioware only gives you 2 default voices which I agree, they are bad.

I haven't played in a while but I believe that is the Assassin's Armor. You should be able to acquire it as an Archer/Hunter Class within the first 10 hours of play.
looking at this scene again it reminds me of the irony for my love of Dragon Age and Mass Effect games. what I mean is while I've always loved the Dragon Age games( flaws and all), I've always loved the Mass Effect games more. I I loved the characters more I loved the story more and I loved the lore and Worlds in the Mass Effect Universe more than I did Dragon Age. with that said that's what makes this ironic for me( unless that's the wrong term I am using and if so please feel free to correct me). what I mean is the latest game in the Dragon Age series in my opinion anyways turns out to be the best in the Dragon Age series but also better again in my opinion then the latest Mass Effect game in Mass Effect Andromeda. don't get me wrong I'm enjoying Mass Effect Andromeda But ultimately I find myself in the reverse where the characters are not as interesting as in the other game nor are the worlds and The lore and the game itself Mass Effect Andromeda is not as good at Dragon Age Inquisition. usually it's the reverse but the tables have turned it seems. now I feel like replaying Dragon age inquisition
The plot of the story can be open to debate, yet the combat system it's the most boring ever, especially at the beginning when you have just two active abilities. Only via DLCs that's getting a little better, but if a game needs DLCs in order to be felt complete that's a very poor game right at its start ...

this game and Diablo 3 are the first 2 games I preordererd for my ps4. This game was great.

The plot of the story can be open to debate, yet the combat system it's the most boring ever, especially at the beginning when you have just two active abilities. Only via DLCs that's getting a little better, but if a game needs DLCs in order to be felt complete that's a very poor game right at its start ...
I noticed that aswell but about half way through the game, the battles become much more intense and fulfilling.
I love the game and I am a DA fandom but Ccorypheus' voice acting sounds terrible to me...

I thought The Inquisitor should have had more voice options but everyone elses voice in the game pretty much fit their character I thought.. Especially Iron Bull 😆😆
