I've had a number of lights with this UI claiming to be "tactical". Got TD03 from Wurkos' TD series, happy with it. Has direct access to strobe and turbo and same 5000K LED and beam pattern as TD05. Use it as midrange outdoors light; tactical capacity used against stray dogs.
Anything can be "tactical," but some things are better suited than others. Stray dogs and wild animals definitely fit into the category of tactical needs!
You can reach Turbo through the tail switch by quickly double half pressing it.
Lol, yes, I figured that out later. Still kind of annoying. I want to be able to just get there through a single switch press.
The Wurkkos FC12 has similar specs and same UI but with the option for a tactical mode. Unfortunately the output is not sustained as well as with the TD05
@@user-iw2or8hr7k I think Wurkkos is really close to putting together a world class tactical light. This with slightly better UI could've done it.

Given the number of batteries I've accumulated over the years, I like the ability to buy a light without a battery. Particularly given the quality of the batteries I have compared to what is typically included with a light.
APLOS T02 is basically the same light from the SOFIRN family, as far as I can tell size and spec wise it's the same light just with the wurkkos branding - I have the T02 and if it is the same the TD05 will be an excellent SFT40 thrower for $30ish with battery. Nice review.
