Were we supposed to convert 2.0 mg/L to lbs/gal?
Can you explain what is 8.34 ?thanks.
8.34 is a conversion factor. It comes from the following : M(lb/day) = Q(MGD)*C (mg/L) * 8.34 - lb-L/MG. Please note that the 8.34 factor is to obtain the amount per day having the flowrate in million gallons per day (MGD) and the concentration in milligrams per liter (mg/L). I hope it helps.
8.34 is the weight of 1 gallon of water
For French students : Dose d'injection(kg/j)=Q(m3/j)*C(mg/l)*10^-3
