this map seems in favor of the axis because they always repair the bridge faster. Especially as a Brit you lose before you get engineers...

were you playing with a friend? because from my experiences the AI is never smart enough to build defenses on the bridgeheads.

19:55 Kettenkrad is way better because it has a stealth option and you can use it scout the area and bombard it with Hotchkiss.
