Thrift Store 78 rpm Records Discovery and Some Cool $1 Bin Record Finds

  • Taking a break from console and turntable restoration to go out to my favorite local haunts to see what I could find. There are a slate of thrift shops near me that still take in 78s though they are few and far between. I haven't had a day this good in quite some time, I was beginning to lose hope.
    Persistence paid off! How often do you find an EX quality Chess 78 in a thrift shop? And for $.50? I even found some cool $1 lps at a local record shop that I'll bring to school so that the kids can play them on the turntable in the fall. It ended up being a pretty good day costing only around $22.
