Never understood the "RUclips Downfall" tho. In the last two years we had the popularization of the video essay, and we have videos with production quality that can rival documentaries. For me, RUclips only gets better and better as time goes. Even when the platform has bigs hiccups and fuck Ups when tries to conform better to companies for ads. The only thing I see is a bunch of creators that can't keep up with the times and become old and obsolete and people growing out of some kinds of content. And we are at a time when a channel has an amazing gimmick and production, it instantly catches, like TierZoo and Girlfriend Reviews

I stopped after the first because it was stressing me out, and then i picked it back up after a couple years and just finished it 5 minutes ago lol. But the first missions have the most jumpscares and horror elements. After that i got used to the enemies and was able to sneak up on them almost every time.

I agree. While it may vary from game to game, videogames in general are the most efficient teaching tools humanity has ever developped. The entire reason why the mammals developped playing as a behavior is because it helps learning, and teaching the player how to play the game and get better at it is an essential part of videogame development. There's no such thing as "you're bad at games", only "you haven't played much before". Admittedly, there's also such a thing as "you don't care enough to keep trying after a few failures", but that applies to every single skill in life. While someone who's never played games might be lost at first, if the game is well made, there always some way to manage and at least reach the end.

Excellent review on an excellent game. Okay, story time. I've two daughters roughly your age, and when they were kids I used to make them play Half-Life 2 with me. We had a mini LAN in the basement I put together from my old hand me down parts. A Headcrab or Zombie would jump out at them and they'd scream or launch out of their chair... and I would laugh my @$$ off, lol. For a father of daughters, this is the most delightful noise in the world, it was like the original "Dad joke" for me. Priceless!! Anyway, listening to your jump scares took me back, for a few seconds there I was reliving those moments. It was awesome and I thank you. We still play games every now and then, but now its Little Big Planet or something equally as tame. Still a good time and I cherish it.

Bioshock was my first fps. I remember when it came out and my dad bought it for me and we played through it together. This game has such a special place in my heart and has been my favorite game for years. This review is fantastic and I just love seeing the love you put into it. Thank you kindly
Agreed. The original Bioshock released in 2007! It's nearly 12 years old :O ! And still looks amazing even today. Hands down the best and most immersive gaming franchise of all time. :D
System Shock 2 was awesome and Bioshock picked up where that left me. Infinite was great from a world building perspective but somehow I saw the story twist coming pretty early and that killed the aha!-moment for me. But the absolute best, for me, was and will always be SWKotOR.

I've known about Bioshock since its release and have looked into it (even tried Infinite, which yes, I understand to be the weakest) and I've never been interested in it. But holy shit your review about perfectly illustrates the love I've heard from its community all these years in a way that makes sense to me. What I loved even more about this video is not only how you fell in love with this game but fell in love with finishing a game for the first time. I dont think there's a single review out there with this much enthusiasm matched with such attention to detail. Congratulations. It's one thing to watch but it's a whole other to embrace the art by playing. Good luck on your journey forward. I really hope you find just as much love in the next title you play.
I feel that, even though it is somewhat different presentation and kind of content, you and nakey jakey share something that I did not know that I was looking for in video game review/commentary videos. It is an feeling of 'wtf this is so real' or some shit like that. It is so relatable. Making us part of your experience, not only ingame, but also outside of the game really helps it. Well the more MH the better, while i myself preffer MHW, MHXX is a great title due to the ridiculous amount of content and the styles that make things a lot fun (ADPET MODE IS BROKEN). The real reason why i say MHW tough is that in the video about Celeste, Dead Cells, and Hollow Knight at the very beginning she shows games that made 2018 to be a great year of backseat gaming : MHW , FC5 , GOW , SPIDER MAM , RDR2 so that is why i would assume that the video will come since her boyfriend already played MHW

My sister played first Bioshock Infinite because she told me was sooo beautiful and space/time/dimmension traveling. Then she played Bioshock 1, and later Bioshock 2. I agree, I played infinite first and then the originals. Infinite is a masterpiece and after playing it the originals lost some of the impact though still good. It's like people who started with dark souls 3 then play the original.

(and very much like mine) My girlfriend’s first game that she finished on her own was Uncharted 2, then she continued to beat 3 and 4 then God of War, just recently. I’m proud of her. But god damn, to experience Bioshock on your own is an experience of a life time. But she wouldn’t touch anything scary lol I bet your boyfriend is so proud right now.

Thaibiohazard123 I talked to my GF about playing The Last of Us by herself. She’s played mobile games, and stuff like Minecraft, but never any AAA titles. It’s entirely up to her whether she wants to or not, but I really want to see her go through it. I think it is the perfect 1st game for her.

Bioshock was my first fps. I remember when it came out and my dad bought it for me and we played through it together. This game has such a special place in my heart and has been my favorite game for years. This review is fantastic and I just love seeing the love you put into it. Thank you kindly
Agreed. The original Bioshock released in 2007! It's nearly 12 years old :O ! And still looks amazing even today. Hands down the best and most immersive gaming franchise of all time. :D

bioshock and infinite is one of my favorite games farcry 3 was also a nice experience
System Shock 2 was awesome and Bioshock picked up where that left me. Infinite was great from a world building perspective but somehow I saw the story twist coming pretty early and that killed the aha!-moment for me. But the absolute best, for me, was and will always be SWKotOR.
I preferred the original System Shock. I hope the remake comes out soon and is wellmade so other people can enjoy it too.

I've known about Bioshock since its release and have looked into it (even tried Infinite, which yes, I understand to be the weakest) and I've never been interested in it. But holy shit your review about perfectly illustrates the love I've heard from its community all these years in a way that makes sense to me.
What I loved even more about this video is not only how you fell in love with this game but fell in love with finishing a game for the first time. I dont think there's a single review out there with this much enthusiasm matched with such attention to detail.
Congratulations. It's one thing to watch but it's a whole other to embrace the art by playing. Good luck on your journey forward. I really hope you find just as much love in the next title you play.

It is an feeling of 'wtf this is so real' or some shit like that. It is so relatable. Making us part of your experience, not only ingame, but also outside of the game really helps it. Well the more MH the better, while i myself preffer MHW, MHXX is a great title due to the ridiculous amount of content and the styles that make things a lot fun (ADPET MODE IS BROKEN). The real reason why i say MHW tough is that in the video about Celeste, Dead Cells, and Hollow Knight at the very beginning she shows games that made 2018 to be a great year of backseat gaming : MHW , FC5 , GOW , SPIDER MAM , RDR2 so that is why i would assume that the video will come since her boyfriend already played MHW

My sister played first Bioshock Infinite because she told me was sooo beautiful and space/time/dimmension traveling. Then she played Bioshock 1, and later Bioshock 2. (The worst order) but she liked it, why not try playing Bioshock Infinite? Is a masterpiece I tell you. Nice vid i was laughing all the time you said her same words about lonely big daddies
I agree, I played infinite first and then the originals. Infinite is a masterpiece and after playing it the originals lost some of the impact though still good. It's like people who started with dark souls 3 then play the original.
